  2. Well, the map will be used in a campaign..however, the plot line is significantly different, and it will be staged on various maps (mostly modder-made). Once the mod is out, feel free to contact our map maker, and with his permission, you can stage your own mission/campaign on this map.
  3. It's quite easy, actually...most mods come with some sort of installer that unpacks the mod directly into your GR/mods folder. If the mod is packed with win.zip, win.rar or some other file compression tool, the safest bet is to unpack the mod into your GR/mods folder, but there's always a read-me file that explains exactly how to unpack/ install the mod. Once installed, you have to start GR and activate the mod trough options/mods buttons, then select the desired mod and hit activate button.
  4. I'm quite positive the animation already exists in GR..if you check Op. Stab. penultimate mission (mission 12), in the last scene where a whitch is casting her fire spell on your team, she's going trough a series of motions, (a seasoned GR player can easily identify them as "binoc using" and "demo charge placing" motions) but it also includes streching her arms out in T-pose. I tried to dissesect the mission and find what I need in the script, but my scripting abilities are next to zero, so no result from doing this.. Anyway, the motion does exist, so it's just a question of finding it....

  8. I just got the best X-mass present that I want to share with you lot! Cobaka has been working on a new map for the mod for some time now, and has recently produced a working beta!   13. DOG-ZEBRA, I thought about doing something like this, but the thing was, I wanted to keep Dieter's entire body as is, neck included. If you compare Dieter's chr model to other models, you'll see he's much taller and stronger then an average chracter. (probably have something to do with the actor/governor they modeled it after )So, simply putting Dieter's face on some average character model just wasn't somehting that was doing Dieter's character justice. (not that it deminishes the value of your work) Adopting the Russian's character upper head portion to fit Dieters' lower wasn't so hard or

  15. DOG-ZEBRA is right...it took me quite a while to acheeve what I was aiming for. I took an uper head portion of Russian chr with no head gear, then I had to manually shape it so to fits almost perfectly to Dieter's lower head portion, then weld. Now, texturing was a b***ch, cause once merged, the texture wouldn't unwrap over the newly made upper head portion the right way. So I had to delete the lower portion, texture the upper portion so the new texture fits, do the same with the lower portion, and then merge the two parts with saved texture settings.   18. Remember I told you Dieter Munz is featuring in this mod? Well, since I made some modifications to Nigel Tunney character, I decided to give Munz special treatment as well. No more helmet, instead the Bundeswehr red beret with paratrooper badge...ladies, I give you the new Dieter Munz... BTW, does anyone else notice he's a dead ringer to a certain governor?
  19. Wow...do tell, mate..I thought we are working on this mod together BTW, let me know if you want the stuff I made so far..I know you can get the weapons from my released mini-mod, but there's still M577 APC that you haven't seen...holds 8 troops + the driver, and the minigun turret works...
  20. Stationary guns are quite possible...it's nothing more then a fixed weapon, operated by an invisible NPC. You won't be able to see what fixed weapon's cammera is seeing, but if you hit command map, you'll see aliens' position within gun's revealing range. Mod's plot hasn't been firmly established yet..it prety much depends on what maps it will be staged on. @BTK_TAW, it's never too late for a new map! If the mod is finished before your map, we can always make an upgrade patch and add your map (and a few missions for it) to the mod. As for the LV-426 complex layout, there are only a few
  21. What Snow explained above can be easily seen in these screenshots- as the Italian character is right handed, when in crouch-shootin position, his right knee is touching the ground.

First of all, I'm sorry for the pics taking long to load..I finaly found a free host with sufficient space, but there had to be a catch 22; their server is slow...so that acounts for a long loading time. About release date; no ETA yet. There are still a few characters to be finished, as well as vehicles and weapons. Not to mention we are still waiting for a brand new map to be finished so we can continue with the campaign scripting. And speaking of characters, here's an early render (still not exported) of the Italian operative featuring in the mod.
