  1. Like I said once before, this is a great mod..IMHO uderrated. What this mod realy needs are some custom missions (or a whole campaign). I'm glad to see that it is on it's way...any ETA?

Well, once we brought this mod to it's final stage and started beta-testing, the responce we got from our beta-testers was so positive that it made me thinking about other ways to distribute the mod to Croatian GR comunity. "Hacker" (and other PC gaming magazines) were the obvious choice. It was Black Sabbath who actually made a phone call and contacted the people in "Hacker". They showed a great interest and wanted to see the mod "in action". After beta-testing it, they decided to put it in January issue, along with the review.   4. This sounds good to me...it would definetly add to the realism of the game, and GR is supposed to be one of the most realistic out there. Just think in "real life" terms; if your demo guy with AT rocket gets KIA, but the rest of the team eliminate the Tangos, isn't it more realistic for one of the remaining team members to pick up the AT rocket, then for mission to fail? The way the skills are distributed could be done in a way @budgie described...and since there already is an equipment weight effect on operatrives in GR, it could be done so the fully loaded operative has to drop something (

  6. I belive there already was a post about some magazines publishing and promoting GR mods. Well, just yesterday, one of the most popular Croatian PC gaming magazine, "Hacker" published Croatian Army mod on it's CD, and also made a full page review. (see below) I know it's all in Croatian, so I'll just point to the good part; the number in the lower right corner is the rating the mod scored:85 (out of a 100) Not bad, IMHO
  7. lol..we had no such luck, mate..they loaded us in a back of their Land-Rover, and our vehicle was left behind...but later that night (in the morning, actually) they cut us some slack, returned us our weapons and gave us a ride back to the pub where our wheels was...and they never reported us to our CO..so maybe @soup was right...they are not all bad
  8. It's hard for me to find the right words when a young man's life is ended so suddenly. The fact that Geordie leaves the familly behind just makes it worse. When I first started modding, I made a post looking for weapons modders willing to help me. Geordie contacted me via PM and showed a great interest in my work, pointed me to some modders and was generaly verry supportive. We spoke occasionaly via PM ever since, and in my book he was a great ladd. We'll all miss you, mate!

  12. Hm..as far as I know, there's only one xml.file for sounds...and of course other for campaign, ulocked heroes and other stuff...but I could be wrong
  13. It happened to me before, when I was using in-game sound for my wep. Try renaming the sound, change the entry in your gun.file to that new sound, and don't forget to reconcyle the xml.file via Igor. Let me know if it helped.

Hm..you might know this already..but..may I suggest using some sound editing tool (like GoldWave)..you can take a sound of one gun and edit it to the point that it sounds like some other wep you need...you can edit pitch, base, treble, reproduction speed, echo, cut out just a piece of sound sample, adjust loudnes, merge sounds... What I'm saying is: take a closest match and edit it to what you want
  16. @Tollen, if I understand you corectly, you want to make a '50 cal heavy machine gun with explosive rounds...now, the first problem is easy to solve; you have to code your '50cal MG as grenade launcher with full auto ROF, and code it to launch your 50cal.prj. You'll have to create a 50cal_explosive_round.prj as well, set it's velocity, blast radius and explosion type. Now, as for damage trough walls..I'm afraid it's reserved for tank killing type of explosion. That means; if you chose that type of explosion and code damage trough walls 1 or above, you'll get a tank killer BMG...
  17. @Soup, I forgot to tell you...if you find the time, look up the Germans..you'll find my guys there...a whole company of Croatian MP's shiped out with the German contingent. Now, I know what you're going to say; nobody really likes the MP's, but still ..give them a chance, they are great guys. You'll have a chance to observe Croatian weapons first hand..(I know for a fact they have EROs and HS 2000s..not sure about the rest of the hardware)

  19. @Killa, I hate to say it..but..told you so Seriously, it has to be something with how AI is coded...if you equip them with GL as primary wep, they just need some non-GL wep as secondary to shoot. I actually first noticed that whille working on my mod (Croatian Army). My anti materiel rifles RT-20 and MACS-M2A are coded as GLs...so I noticed that my AI operatives won't shoot when asigned /extra ammo kits...that got me thinking. Then when I saw such GL/extra ammo kit asigned to Henkel, I thought; this will be interesting...and as it turned out, it wasn't just an issue with my mod, it's someth

Hm...that gave me an idea, @Blueman...maybe if I boost the stats of a demo operative up to 8 or above and give him AT4 as primary, then maybe, just maybe he would fire a rocket at a tank on his own... But did you tried that GL+extra ammo kit? What I'm saying is your AI operative won't shoot on his own with any such kit..if you give him a secondary wep that isn't GL, he will use both weapons NP...
  22. Well, I tried it...can't say it worked They spoted the tanks and did nothing at first...then they tried to fire rockets at tangos and blew them selfs up by hitting a cover right infront...

  24. @Ruin, I think I can reveal one of my skinning technique secrets...it's Adobe PhotoDeluxe 2.0 It's cloning tool is by far superior to the simmilar APS 7.0 tool...sometimes all I need is a small piece of pattern I want to use...with "clone" tool I can spread/multiply it to the whole template if I want to... ..now who can say cloning is bad?!
  25. I'm afraid it won't help..I have 1.4 patch installed and the issue remains...just disregard that kit..unless you want to play as Henkel..then you can use it.
