  1. the last of Steyer variants to appear in ADF Operation Stabilise mod. The M203PI grende launcher comes with a custom reticule which allows easier aiming and correction of barrel elevation (see below)
  2. Wasn't he fired after his appearance on Iraqi TV? I think I've heard something on the news about him being fired....
  3. Here..take a look...(although, I must say he's a lot bigger now..some 103kg, I think)
  4. If my combat expirience tought me anything, it's that tanks are frickin' enemy fire magnets...during the war over here I did my best to stay as away from both friendly and enemy tanks as humanly possible... As far as clearing out houses and other enemy-fortified objects, my unit did it in the simmilar way you could see on the news showing US troops in a fight near Umm Kasr....once such house/building/object was identified, a 3 member units were formed; two guys (one of them being me) would lay down a covering fire spraying the house with bulets, while the third guy would fire a "Zolja"(discar
  5. This rifle, Steyr SD "Shadow" is made for AUS_Viper's ADF mod...Australian SASR equips most of their weapons with Elcan (they call it "Wildcat") scope...
  6. Well, what more to say? Croatian fighter Mirko "CRO-COP" Filipovic sent his 20cm taller and 70kg(!) heavier oponent down on the floor...a precision-placed mid-kick to Sapp's liver, followed by a right direct to his chin and a left hook to Sapp's eye...and The Beast bites the dust....
  7. Actually, I believe Croatian goverment gave those rights to both civilian and military aircrafts...I'm surprised (and ashamed) they even did so much. And I'm not sure Croatia is added to the list..that might be Slovenia and/or Macedonia you're reffering to... As for the rest of the Europe, I belive they would have singing a different tune if, for example, those hijacked airplanes rammed into the Eiffel tower... What we have here is, sadly, a case of history repeting it's self...at the beggining of WWII, the US tried to stay out of it, viewing it stricktly as an European conflict...untill P
  8. Was it beer or cider? (I belive you call it "appelwine"- sorry for spelling, my Swedish is a bit rusty )
  9. I'd have to say I like the British cammo more...just two colours, brush-stroke brown over a khaki, but it looks great and IMHO provides a great camoflage in a desert environment. For some reason (and that's just my opinion) the green on US tri colour desert cammo looks out of place..I liked the old one, 6 colour "chocolate chip" better... I have to agree with @budgie on Aussie desert cammo...it is a bit too pale... BTW, since the Polish "Grom" is also involved, does anyone know what kind of uniform they are wearing over there?
  10. Is this another attempt to make a joke? Are you talking about virtual (GR) killing, or an actual (real life) killing? And if so, whoom are you reffering to, your self or me?
  11. What you need to do, right before editing UVW, is scroll all the way back, and pick the right axis with wich the texture will be aligned when unwrapped. Try it with X, Y or Z, 'till you see that the texture is unwrapped the right way (you will actually see the texture, not lines)..then just hit edit and adjust it...
  12. Please do...are you talking about texturing weapons? Sometimes when you texture your weapon in 3DSM and rotate it around, the texture looks "crooked", but if you render the weapon, you'll see that it's actually textured OK....
  13. On that note (K-1), this sunday Mirko "Cro-cop" Filipovic is fighting Bob Sapp..K-1 rules...can't wait!
  14. Maybe this should go into another forum..but..is FN MAG still in use by US Army? Just afew days ago I saw it twice on the news...once when US Troops was fighting near Umm Basr, and once more mounted on a chopper as a door-gunner's weapon...I thought FN MAG was replaced with FN MINIMI (M249)...
  15. LOL..And I thought I was the only one with such problems...not once I had to stop or pause the game because of something one of my cats would dragged in...just the other night, one of them came in with a huge rat and dropped it at my feet...and I was like..awwwww, that's so sweet..but I've already eaten..
  16. Thanks for the links, Stalker! I must say, that heat-guard /handgrip makes sence...the model on the pic Stalker first sent me is virtualy identical..apart from that heat-guard. I will consult with AUS_Viper about that..but I gues we'll leave it as it is. Our Steyr SD is intended to be a specialist weapon, and since our specialist will have gloves on his hands, I guess using the model without a heat-guard will look plausable that way. After all, there is such model out there..I have a pic to confirm it If only I had those other pics earlier PS: Stalker, I mailed you the weapon, you forwar
  17. @Woolie, you touched a subject that I like immensely..Middle Age warfare... Did you know that the Church in Europe tried to ban the use of a crossbow because in their opinion the weapon was "too powerfull"? Apparently, a good crossbow could penetrate a plate breast armour at 100 paces (some 80meters)... I read that some SPECOPS units during WWII used crossbows for silent elimination of guards and guard dogs...I guess suppressors weren't as silent back then as they are now...
  18. all I got to say is OMG... just make it work in game....
  19. Sure, mail me the pic..the one I got from Stalker Zero was great side pic, left profile. The forward grip was removed, and no rubber handgrip on the suppressor wasn't visible...maybe your pic will help with any details I might have missed..
  20. Read it. Love it! Ride the bike ever since Kidding..I was riding a bike a long time before the book came to my atention..still a great book, though...
  21. No ETA yet..we still have a long way to go. Here's the link to AUS_Vipers site where you can find much more info on this mod's progress:Aus Viper's Ghost Recon mods
  22. Will post more renders on more neutral background...1588 polys, btw..
  23. close up of Elcan Wildcat scope Australian SASR "toy"...
  24. But I do...that's why I wanted to introduce the crossbow to GR in the first place...now..1/8 of a mile..FYI, that's 200m, and you'd have to shoot under an angle to achieve the right trajectory for that range...60-80m was the effective range..where you could still aim and hit an individual target. Sure, if you are shooting an arrow from 200m at a group of a few 1000s Chinese formed in a nice phalange, you're bound to hit someone...and they didn't have AK-47s back then either! That lead bullit info is no real surprise..my crossbow was coded with an arrow velocity of 140m/sec. 9mm pistols achiev
