  1. Thanks, gentelmen...with all those pics I think I'll be able to scrap a decent texture...
  2. I've searched the web, even checked the airsoft sites, but so far no luck... Is there anyone with nice side-view pics of M249? (preferably both sides) Any help would be apreciated...
  3. I second that, mate.... BTW, I can provide you with pics of my ex for body moddeling...
  4. Ouch..if you made them as fast as they are in the movie, putting a rocket in one will be frickin' hard...
  5. Nothing I can say that I haven't said before...(jaw on the floor) Great maps, great characters, great vehicles....great EVERYTHING!! One question, though..on that in-game screenie, I noticed a Ghaul aircraft...is it for decoration only, or will it be able to do some damage? And if so, will the player be able to shoot it down with a rocket or some other weapon?
  6. Along the "Frostbite" and "Stargate" mods, this one is also on my "must d/l " list...great skins and chr's, great wep models...a word or two on the campaign plot, lads?
  7. I suggest you pay a visit to AUS_Viper's site and check up all the feapons featuring in this mod...belive me, posting them all here would take way too long...
  8. It's done. AUS_Vipers military contacts provided great pics in record time, so I was able to correct the issue just as fast. Stand by for render update...
  9. Are those tutorials out there yet? If so, where??
  10. Actually, what you can do is model a weapon in a shape of a bug limb, so it would be virtualy un-noticeable, give it a sound of bug shreek, and set the maximum range to 1.5 meters...so the bug will have to be virtually over you to kill you.
  11. Somebody hasn't been paying atention in the class... Sure there's a campaign attached to the mod..it covers the events in East Timor back in 1999, when local pro-Jakarta militia tried to sabotage free elections..UN formed INTERFET task force (Australia, being the closest, pulled most of the weigth) and prevent the militia in their intentions...almost like IT scenario, only for real Unfortunately, that same campaign requires plenty more mission scripting, and I have quite a few more weapons to produce, so we aren't that close to the release of the mod...
  12. After some in-game testing of the SA-80A1 mounting a bayonet, I'm glad to say it's possible to sneak up to the tango and take him out with a bayonet! Expect reders posted here shortly...
  13. Thanks, mate, but it's not on purpose...it looks "dirty", as you put it, because I had to work with some p*ss-poor pictures to make the texture...I'm glad to say the weapon looks much better in game then rendered in 3D SM. I made virtualy no other changes in comparison with the in-game gun file...zoom factor has been set to 4X to match the real life SUSAT scope specifications, and the custom reticule has been made. Yes, the bayonet will work... Now, will you be able to sneak up to the tango close enough to use it, it's up to you...computer controled tangos are tricky that way. On the
  14. Coming from one of the best modders out there, it's a great compliment.. Thanks
  15. The way you managed to export the bug into the GR game is just grand...as a big fan of both the book and the movie, I'm looking forward to this mod. However (and please don't take it the wrong way), I noticed your bug texture looks like it's been made out of the drawing rather then a movie pic/screenshot. I understand texture-nice movie screenshots are hard to come by, but here's a suggestion on how to make your bug look more movie-realistic and less cartoony; try to reduce the contrast of the texture, that will take out the brightness and "loudnes" of the colours a bit and create the effe
  16. Wait till you get the taste of an actual campaign...I recently had the pleasure of beta-testing the first 4 missions...let me just tell you they have everything a top-notch mission/campaign mod should have; intro cinematics, insertion animation (with beautifully positioned cammeras), extraction animations, great plot, cleverly positioned tangos, extra objectives popping left and right...and there's almost always a (nasty) surprise...
  17. Here are some info directly "from the horse's mouth", so to say... I served as infantry/medic in the Croatian army for 5 years, the whole duration of the war. Me and all of my medics were armed at all times. (I was later promoted to lands corporal and had 3 medics under my command) None of my medics was designated as SAW (or any support weapon) gunner, in fact, we were armed with compact variants of assault rifles (foldable stock) for the purpose of extra-mobility. Armbands (white with red cross) were issued, but again none of us wore it. Having big white/red pattern over a cammo was
  18. Wasn't that a South African guy who entered the supermarket, went strait behind a meat-counter and sawed his head off with a big meat-saw?

    Blonde joke

<edited for content> Please refrain from posting 'bad-taste' jokes in the future. Thanks Schenkanator
  20. Thanks, mate...wait 'till you see SIG 543 I'm working on...
  21. AUS_Viper beat me to posting the renders of the new Steyr/GLA, but here's a photo of an actual thing...the reflex sight is on the other side of the weapon and not very visible, but the pic will still give you a good feel to what the real thing is supposed to look like.
  22. Chasing Ammy Great movie...a bit funny, a bit depressing..just like life...
  23. 29th of February? FYI, I'm 32... Ever tried Absinth?
  24. Now, in addition to this version, I must say I wached an interview with Kalashnikov, where he admitted that German Mp43 / Stg44 rifle design gave him costructive ideas and helped him overcome some design problems he wasn't quite sure how to solve. The design later served as a basis for modern assault rifles, such as Spanish CETME and legendary German Heckler & Koch familly:
