  1. Great...now I have something to to now that Op. Stab. is done.... Looks like another hi-quallity product by BJB...
  2. What might be added is that Winzip and Install maker have 1:2 file compression ratio, meaning they'll cut the file size in half, whille Winrar has compression ratio of almost 1:4 (say 1:3.5)...same as SFX factory installer.
  3. Impressive polycount, I might add....my FN Minimi (with Elcan scope) was 'round 2200...
  4. It might! Serious time; I've tested the final version of Op.S. up to the mission 9, (out of 13), so far no bugs or issues..it looks like we have a final product on our hands. If, however, some bug or issues come up later, discovered by the players, we'll fix it in the patch that is, slowly, already in the make. Apart form fix-ups for any potential bug or issue, the patch will contain a few MP compatible missions, and also some weapon fix-ups and add-ons.
  5. Latest development as follows; my copy of the Op.S. CD arrived by mail today...now both me and Black Sabbath have some thourough and quick testing to do...
  6. It would be funny if it wasn't sad, actually... I can relate to their problem; it's been a few years since one of Croatian weapon factories has developed APS-95 assault rifle..prototype worked well, so they made 1000 pieces of the weapon to be field tested...meaning distributed to the troops to see how it will work under actual battle conditions. But for the last 4 years, we had lefty government that showed no interest what-so-ever for the weapon.... in the mean time, our troops are deployed in Afghanistan armed with FN FAL PS: I love the way Canadians pronounce "boat"
  7. I'm only guessing here, but the whole front part of the gun looks awfully like a H&K design... I know for a fact that after numerous flaw reports on SA80A1, British army took it to H&K UK to fix it. The result was SA80A2..aparently, it's much more reliable, no more reports of bolts breaking or clips falling out, but SF still complained about the wep being too loud when being chambered and locked/unlocked. Apparently a loud "click" of a weapon being unlocked or chambered can give your position away and alert the enemy in those stealthy SF operations... I think there was a rumour abo
  8. @Kaladorn, care to elaborate that some more?
  9. ROFLMAO To tell you the truth, I didn't even know about this operative's bio stuff... It's amazing how AUS_Viper made a mix of a real life stuff and mod storyline..and also came up with neat stuff to fill in the gaps... BTW, my tattoo really exists
  10. @SC, don't want to burst your bubble or anything, but Canadian Coyote is also a variant of Piranha Mk II, not Mk III. If you look more closely, you'll see that apart from the mounted turret and different cammo pattern, Coyote and ASLAV are virtualy the same vehicle. There's also a version of ASLAV with mounted turret, looking exactly the same as coyote.
  11. Yes, Op.S. mod will feature ASLAV vehicle, which is nothing else but lisence made Swiss Piranha APC Mk II, the predecessor to Mk III shown on these pics. Here are some renders of Mk II (ASLAV):
  12. I thought we agreed I'll record and send over replays of all the missions, completed without using F6/F7 keys...
  13. @Sgt, if you can wait for another week or two, Operation Stabilise mod is in it's final stage and should be released in that time. You'll get to play with these MP5 variants: (as well as with the rest of the HK's on the pic) Op.S. H&K layout
  14. I'm so happy right now I don't have to d/l the beast.... Well, it looks like it's time for me to delete the beta version...we had some good times together, but it's time for me to move on...giving the full version a run for it's monney. It will be fun to beat the campaign all over again...
  15. I believe you mean 5.45x39mm...not 5.54. And BTW, the weapon is superb!
  16. Thanks, mate...I had a few, actually. Switched from my usual Guinness to Killkenny..or as I like to call it, the South Park beer.. ( OMG..they KILLed KENNY!!) Everybody...mod is just about done, but you still have to allow us some two weeks for CDs to arrive via snail-mail to all the members of the modding team, and to thoroughly test the final mod version on several PCs. If and when everything goes ok, no bugs and issues, the mod will get the stamp of aproval to be released.
  17. Thanks for the thought, guys...and happy b-day, TY! (Even if it's a day late....somehow I didn't get to come close to my PC yesterday... blame it on my g/f)
  18. LMAO To quote that big guy (in the intro movie)..Step aside, Frostbite...We've arrived! JK
  19. Update time, children.... Last of the kit restrictions is done and sent to AV for testing and aproval. That's 13 restrictions total....as a little teaser, I'll count them all for you: (since the release is so close, it can't hurt) 1) no restrictions- that one is prety self-explaining; all Op.S. weps are there 2) primaries only- again, self explaining one 3) no explosives -this is boring.. 4) no sensors 5) no zoom- only Op.S. weapons with iron sights are there, with 1.1X zoom 6) no zoom & sensors - iron sights weapons and no sensors 7) no zoom & explosives - iron sights weapo
  20. Are you in Med-Evac unit, @Thumper? Hell, that makes us almost colleagues.. @Snowfella, great work.
  21. @Stewy, I thought this is old news by now All Op.S. weapons are moded with so called "holster points"- that means that Aussie digger will sling his F88 across his chest before reaching either his 66 LAW or Karl Gustav on his back...
