  1. Who ever said the patch will contain those same missions? We might script some new ones, just for MP co-op playing...
  2. I'm having headaches while playing the mod...at first, I thought it was all that red colour hurting my eyes...then I realised it was too little oxygen and too much CO2! Great work, BJB

  5. Due to possible spoiler content, I PM-ed you some questions and suggestions on how to solve the mission. It might be a bug, but more likely you didn't complete some of the numerous objectives in the mission...

BTW, I had a conversation with a friend of mine who's still in the army...he's inital opinion was that the weapon looks "too futuristic" and will probably never be adopted...then I pulled up the argument how M16, when first introduced, was also deemed to be looking too futuristic, way too much plastic, looking like a BB-gun...yet it has been adopted right away.   7. Finished my d/l last night...happy to say all works well.. Only get to play it half way trough mission 1, but it looks promising..
  8. Stalker, do you get CTD right after the mid-mission cine? If that is so, then you should know that we (the team) also had that issue, but it was fixed by Jack. It seems now that there are still some players having that issue.. Anyway, here's how we went around it before the fix; right after the mid-mission cine, hit F6. The game will CTD, you start it up again, and load last quick save for mission 3...it usually continued OK for us and we were able to finish it and continue with the campaign. Belive me, we are working on a permanent fix for the issue, but it's hard as it seems only a few p

I'm shocked....I remember (and I think it might have been posted in the old forum, attacked by hackers), one guy who claimed to be in US army and one of the field testers of OICW posted that the wep performed well, but after rapid single auto or full auto fire, it would overheat...I distinctly remember his words: "not just the barrel, the whole thing would get hot." I had no idea that any serious accidents happened.

POSSIBLE SPOILER CONTENT @Jaybee, here's what you missed; after you kill the target from the bridge and search the body (and that objective is done simply by standing at the position the target went down..sometimes there's no visible body 'cause it "sinks" trough the porch..GR engine..what can you do ) Then you're supposed to get the objective to search the cabin for maps and documents. Here's the important part; right after that objective is acomplished, you get a series of dialogue boxes explaining you your EZ is to hot for the chopper to land, so you are ordered to return to your insert
  13. I seem to remember there was a discussion about OICW project some time ago. The first prototype (featured in GR) didn't performed quite well; there was some overheating problems. I don't know what factory produced that OICW, but I do know H&K also applied for the job (of developing the next generation infantry weapons for the US army). Perhaps we are looking at the prototypes here...possibly final products?!

  15. EL_OSO, I hope you didn't get the impression I was trying to "flame you", as you put it. I simply explained why I didn't bother with d0.anm file...ASLAV is my first vehicle (if I don't count the test vehicle ) for GR, so when the test vehicle performed fine without d0.anm, I didn't bother to include it with the final ASLAV version. Also, what both Jack and I stated is correct; you can find the entry @MU posted in ike.log every time you run a mission that features ASLAV vehicle...so it's not what's causing CTD for @MU.   16. Two things, guys...first, a question..does anyone know if Galil/ Vektor-R4 can use M-16 type clip, or are they restricted to Galil/ Vektor 35rd clips? Second, anyone knows where to find good pics of Vektor -R4 or newer Galil model (with black plastic foregrip) ?
  17. It's probably because you have kit names in your kit.restriction in uppercase. Try changing all the kit names in your restriction kil.file to lowercase and give it a go...it should be fine.

  19. Operation Stabilise features a mortar... What that means is that in one mission there's a mortar, set as fixed weapon, that you can use. Op. Stab. does not, however, features mortars in SP or MP kits...
  20. That file won't likely be crashing your game. You will see those sort of errors anytime you look in the Ike.log - even after a succesful run of GR. My experience differs from EL_OSO's with this obviously I would try deleting the quick_save.sav file again if you have one. If that doesn't work I'll get you to tell me which actor it's happening with, but I doubt it's actually related. Cheers for now, Jack @Jack is right about that.   21. MU, since you have weapon issue, that falls under my jurisdiction..(more or less) If indeed Mac has the issue with file names longer then 30 chr, here's how you'll fix the mod for your self. Firstly, rename the qob file in question. So, if it's streinger_steyr_carabine.qob ,rename it to shorter form, say streinger_steyr_c.qob Secondly, you have to adjust the gun file to use that renamed qob. I'm on public computer right now, so I don't have access to file names, but from memory I think it would be steyr_carbine_fld (folded).gun or any steyr that has "carbine" in it's name.   22. Yes..beware of TNI snipers, lads...for some weird reason, you could stand right on top of the sniper, and you won't see him on your command map...   23. Yes...so far, the community could only see renders of my weapons...now they have a chance to actually play with them....feel the balistics, sounds and reticules first hand and judge my work... ..maybe I better lay low for a while...
