  1. Earlier, I reported CTD occuring randomly, whille playing various missions. As I played the mod a bit more lately, I noticed CTD occurs when I tap left shift key twice in a row (to quick view the command map)...weird. Apart from that small issue, I'm enjoyning the mod very much..
  2. I can't get past mission 3. Just as the mission is getting started, something happens that crashes the game everytime. anyone else with this problem? It's a known issue, I'm afraid. So far, the only solution that seems to be working is to navigate to your Op.S. /save/game folder, and delete all quick saves there 'cept checkpoint.sav (that one contains your campaign progress info so DON'T delete it). Then fire up GR and try mission 3 again...let us know if it worked
  3. Could you be more speciffic? At what point you get CTD (I assume it's CTD), what is your configuration, etc... Posting ike.log might also give more clues to solving your problem.
  4. Yes. I believe it's called G-max or something like that. Like Chems said, it's basically "spade" version of 3DSM...you can model but can't render or export.
  5. Try right clicking on your GR icon, select "properties", then hit "find target" in the window that appears next. That will take you to GR's folder. Once there, find text document named "modsset". Simply delete it, and fire up GR. It should start up with no mods activated. Then try activating MP1(DS), MP2(IT) and Op.S. trough options/mod setiings and see what happens.....

  7. Great, this really helps! Now, i have a couple more questions; 1) that last pic of Steyr/M203 you posted has different M203 mounting system then the one with MEPRO 21 reflex scope. Do IAWR use both versions? 2)Can you be more speciffic about those 9X and 7X scopes used? Or better yet, can you get me some pics? 3)Also, can you find some pics of Steyr carbine with suppressor and suppressor and M203? I'm not sure it's the same one we have in Op.S. As for most of the versions, they are prety much done...adding new scopes and attachments won't be a big problem.
  8. Well, normal knife (in game) is actually old style US military bayonet. Kukri knife, traditionally used by Ghurkhas, has much bigger blade (comes in 3 sizes, actually..the biggest version is almost like a machette..we used medium size in the mod) The blade is curved, it actually looks like a boomerang, with sharp edge being on the inner, shorter side. As for how they work in the mod, there's no actual difference, so each one you pick, you have equal chance..
  9. Mission loads up every time, it's just I don't know when the CTD is going to happen. I was able to finish previous missions by F6 often, so after CTD I would start up GR and load up last quick save, and continue with the mission. It doesn't seem to be graffic related (I have 1GB CPU and Ati Radeon 9000 Pro 128MB vid card)...

  11. @Earl, care to post a pic of the real thing? Looking at your (first rate low poly) render, it looks like a long barrel AK-74 (RPK-74 maybe?) with hi-cap clips taped together and South African Milkor MGL 40mm modified to be mounted under barrel.
  12. All that doesn't mean s**t if you have friendly cowboy pilot overhead that doesn't bother to check your transponder sign, instead just shoots anything that moves...
  13. @Nova, can you provide more detailed list of what Steyr variants are and aren't used by Irish Army Ranger Wing? I know a lot of punters out there think it would be "cool" to just mirror the entire Op.S. armoury, but I'd like to keep this mod within the realms of reality (as far as it's possible). I see there's Steyr with custom scope and Beta C-mag on one of the pics posted...I'll enjoy making that one!

  16. No harm done, mate....now how's that mod of yours comming along? So far I've seen nothing 'cept some top notch weapons.. ..looking great so far, please make a good campaign to go along with the rest of the goodies.
  17. @Chems, if you find the time, try playing the mission without any AT rockets...you'll be surprised (and no, the mission will not abort)

I saw this a while back, but keep forgetting to post a question about it...while watching HULK, I couldn't help noticing one of the spec. ops. guys going after the big green fella armed with what could only be M249 (FN Minimi) with underbarrel M203 GL. Is there such configuration in real life or was it just something put together for the film? It seems like an ultimate support weapon, i have to admit
  22. @Mamon, it might be graffic related, ie. your PC might be low on juice...what is your configuration? Have you tried the mission with 3 or 6 men in the platoon, but with lower graffic settings?
  23. Thanks, mate! I tried to put my own personal experience with weapons in good use. For example, you'll find my FN FAL to be far more accurate then DS in-game version. That's'cause it is reliable and accurate rifle, though it's accuracy takes a nose dive on full auto. I tried to amulate that in the gun file. Also, my H&K MP5 has much lower recoil factor and is more accurate in full auto then the in-game one..that's 'cause it performes like that, up to 50m. I got input about the wep from a cop who used it on daily bases. The same goes for AK 47, SKS...all weapons I either used my self or go
