hi...answers to a couple of questions

yes i have onboard sound....but i've had NO sound issues in any games whatsoever.

I think you are right about it leaving something behind...i just can't figure out what. I don't have NU but i'll go see about the trial edition.

Any other ideas??????

sorry....i think maybe i didn't explain well...and seems everyday i find out as bit more about it.

heres the scoop.

I bought a MSI Ti4200 video card (awesome btw) and it included GR....when i tried to update it i had all kinds of probs. so i gave up....then they have come out with GR GOLD which included BOTH exp and the game....thought it seems like a great deal so i BOUGHT it. I uninstalled (correctly) the MSI version and installed the new GR gold. when i tried to start the game it now asks for the cd to be in the drive (only drive...correctly lettered) over and over and over. So i thought ok, i'll try a utility to remove the CD and see if they sorts it....then when i hit start it goes black for a second and straight back to desktop.

is that better?....hoping

i'm running a AMD XP2000 with a Ti4200 with windows XP PRO. All the drivers have been updated and this is the ONLY thing that is causing me probs.

it doesn't matter which CD is in the drive....it won't run

can ANYONE help me....i have bought GR gold edition...with both expansion packs and the patch to 1.4 on a second CD. after installing the game it will NOT start. Everytime i try to start it asks for the CD to be in the drive...which it is. i'm totally discouraged. I was in the game room chat last night and noticed serveral other people with the same problem asking for help. Any ideas????? pleaseeeeee
