OK back, Ingel1.rsb is the bigger one which i think looks better. Ingel2.rsb is alittle smaller.
For "ingel1.rsb" change the .gun file part to this:

The alfa 1 is because his photoshop is in a different language. Look at the File and Edit and all that. You can send it to grt_bia@hotmail.com and ill look at it.

ok RR_GRT, i´ll send you the files.
also i´ll look into it myself and maybe rename the alphachannel.

RSBs:
RSE never made a mac compatible photoshop plugin for RSB files (the irony.. a photoshop plugin that's pc only), so unfortunately it's impossible to open and resave rsb's on macs. which is a shame, because I'd be playing with kit icons, etc.
AIFFs:
wavs will play properly in mac GR but the sound volume won't scale down with distance. so if you're in hearing range of the weapon being fired it will sound like it's right next to you, unless it's an aiff. also, filenames in effects.xml still have to end in .wav. it makes no sense, I know.
There is no technical reason why either of these problems should ever have been issues; blame it on the poor quality mac porting of GR.
On the other hand, blame .exe's on windows users' installer fetish. Installers and uninstallers are used to properly configure virtually every software program for windows. true drag and drop is unheard of and I certainly don't know of a major app that doesn't use an installer on windows. windows users simply aren't used to placing files where they need to go by hand, because moving things around like that is a big no no (broken dlls). so that's why we mac users are left out in the cold when modders package their mods in .exe installers rather than something cross platform like .sitx, .sit, .Bzip, .Arc, .hqx, .bin, .btoa, .tar, .uu, .uue, .as, .cpt, .pf, .lha, .lzh, .zip, .dd, .GZip, .z, .taz, .enc, .rar....

im a mac user too and have seen these mystic rsb´s and wondered how i should solve the issue. my question is : what is the correct way to resave the rsb so it can be displayed properly on a mac? a small three row mini-tutorial is wanted please.

@ingeloop, if you wanna use them or any one of them i will zip them up and send you a link for them. i'm not sure if rr grt is going to use them or not in the inner city map. so before i release them for dl i wanna fix'em up a little. maybe retexture the at-4 to go with the uniforms as suggested. with the rifleman, should i change the head gear? make it a helmet or balaclava or just bare?
how about a small wolly cap on some guys and balaclavas for the rest.
it would be great if you could send me the zip file.

I think the best head gear is a black woolly hat, some can wear it rolled up, others rolled down (balaclava), throw in some goggles and you're in business. When I customize mods for myself if possible I always remove the berets and helmets and stick in a few bare heads, wooly hats and balaclavas. They just seem more SF to me. Often the demo guys seem to be over protected in mods, I'd keep the gear as light as possible as in most missions they need to lay charges with a degree of stealth/speed. Goggles and a backpack is all that's needed.
Looked at the pictures again-I do like that sniper!

hi you all!
im really puzzled about you wickedwow. why don´t you just put in the models and weapons
you want in the mod? take out and save the kits you don´t need.
i guess you can tailormake the mod to your liking, just don´t go public without permission.
i´ve done it myself. But i find the mod great and realistic.
and the update-question, i think the site is updated more or less daily, correct me if im wrong.
and another thing wickedwow, im a newbie and know zippo about making models and such,
but i have recived a GREAT deal of help from diff. guys forum.
so post a new topic with another language please.

just outa curiosity, i looked at ELCAN´s site, there were some nice rets there.
would be great if someone could produce them.
i´ve tried abd tried but i can´t get it to work.
have a mac and running VPC and it´s so slow and no fun to work with PS in.
so if anyone can look at the site and make these reticles, i think they would
work nicely in GR. crisp and sharp.

well, some sights is better off with no pips.
like the red aimpointdot or a reflexdot.
the rsb is divided in like 5 diff channels?!!
red, green, alpha etc etc
which one is to be painted?
and the best thing of them all, how do i save?
i´ve tried to do some things with reticles, ending up
with a big square when i look at them in the game.
is there some things/boxes that i have to uncheck or check?

hi all!
i have now started to try to make my own reticles, but having
a small problem though.
how do you make a sharp circle around the dot, cross etc.?
my cirles is kinda blurry or edgy.
i´ve looked at the alphasquads mod, theres som sharp nice ones there
)
hope anyone can shed some light on this matter.
