  1. add my name to the long list of people who can no longer host a campaign server since 1.03
  2. my original post on the same issue for completeness http://www.ghostrecon.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=45032 [TX's Desrat, I'll merge this thread with yours to get em all together]
  3. Serves you right for speaking too soon
  4. I would totally agree with everything posted by SleepDoc. The cross comm system is completely FUBARRED in Coop Campaign, its a complete disgrace. The coop campaign is (as far as I was aware) supposed to be a 100% copy over from the SP game but playable with friends so why is this not the case?? I personally feel more than aggrieved over what is to me the failure of then main feature of the game. Without an effective coop mode ([GR] coop is a little too run & gun to sustain me) then GRAW2 might as well stay on the shelf..
  5. Unlimited respawns is when you set the value to 0 Ive been playing campaign quite extensively since release and I have not encountered this bug..weird really
  6. ok done that and moved them into a folder in English\Data\Levels\*LevelName* and the maps are unavailable still. Is there something wrong there?
  7. I notice some people are having a few probs with copy/pasting and lines getting split etc so heres a zip containing the actual fixed ini file.. Backup your original if you want to be double sure http://www.desrat.lightning-bolt.net/GRAW/xfire_games.zip
  8. I think they tried to rush the support. The basically took the ini entry for GRAW1 and copied for GRAW2 and it just doesnt work. If they had tested it at all they would have had the problem. After having another fiddle myself Ive changed the entry from what it was to this [5097] LongName=Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 ShortName=graw2 LauncherDirKey=HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Ubisoft\Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2\InstalledPath LauncherExe=graw2.exe Launch=%UA_LAUNCHER_EXE_PATH% %UA_LAUNCHER_EXTRA_ARGS% %UA_LAUNCHER_NETWORK_ARGS% InGameRenderer=D3D9 InGameFlags=DISPATCH_CONURE_MESSAGES
  9. If Rocky approves what I just sent him then yeah sure.. http://www.ghostrecon.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=45042
  10. I found an level unlocker if thats any good to ya. Check your PM's for link .
  11. Well as you know doc with Graw1 its was 4 man coop or nothing for me. [GR] coop just turned me off completely, get from point A to point B nonsense (sry Grin you did your best with what was after all an after thought add on). However with GRAW2 its a properly implemented well designed game mode. I wouldnt say I prefer it any more or any less than campaign coop but both have their merits and if the mappers out there can make somthing similar in quality to the 3 maps we already have then I can see the new COOP mode being widely popular with the R6, Swat, [GR] crowd.... if only we could get people past their pre-conceptions that are rooted on the initial 1.0 release of GRAW1. I'd bet my right nut that all of us here have tryied convincing people of the advances/improvements in GRAW1 that came through the patching process, and failed... sad but true ok back on topic (lol) I'm also glad they seem (the post from Grin was vaugue at best) to be addressing the whole squad lead system, it does get quite confusing at times. It would also be nice if the map in [GR] coop (still calling it that sorry) could have a smaller grid size to help organize attacks better... oh and do I get points for the liberal use of parenthesis
  12. I gotta admit I've been saying this for years. If you have a game that is focused on multiplayer than leave the cd-protection out and use online authentication, its so much more user friendly whilst still giving pirates the middle finger. Sure there will be some losses but whats the cost of the protection in the first place? Surely its better to save that cash especially when the protection is bypassed before the game even hits retail 90% of the time. If people want to steal you program they will.... If you cant beat 'em then why waste $200,000+ (conservative estimate) on a worthless pursuit?? Good Job All Round UBI!!! (I didn't think I'd ever say that again)
  13. You can turn on xfire right now if your prepared to edit the xfire_games.ini file. There are some limitations, for instance you still have to change your xfire status yourself as others will not see you as in game, so set your status to something like "Playing Graw2, Xfire in game chat is enabled" before you launch the game. Also when you type in the xfire chat window in game sometimes typing "o" will bring up the console in game.. If your ok with that then follow instructions below.. Open xfire_games.ini file found usually at Program Files\Xfire Copy the following and paste it at the very bottom of the file. (noting the InGameFlags part is all one line with no spaces not 2 as it shows here) [99] LongName=Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter2 ShortName=graw2 LauncherDirKey=HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Ubisoft\Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2\InstalledPath LauncherExe=graw2.exe Launch= _LAUNCHER_EXE_PATH% _LAUNCHER_EXTRA_ARGS% _LAUNCHER_NETWORK_ARGS% InGameRenderer=D3D9 InGameFlags=DISABLE_RELEASE|DISPATCH_CONURE_MESSAGES|DISABLE_DIRECT_INPUT_HOOK Save & Exit the file Run game detection in xfire (Tools>Options>Games) Start Graw (Remembering to change your status first This will automatically get overwritten when xfire does an update so it wont interfere with anything in the future...
