  1. Speaking from the Ad Agency side, it's touch and go. The big agencies can maintain staff for the most part (until they lose an account). When they do lose a signifigant account it's usually because of the economy, not because the company goes under but because their numbers aren't good and they get nervous and pull the account figuring a fresh agency might give them a boost. Too many people trying to figure out "why" and pointing fingers instead of "how" they can weather the bad economy without rocking the boat too much. I could go on forever...I've had my own design studio for a few years that was housed in a bigger agency which was great for our overhead. I then went to a really big agency and although the people were cool the politics and lack of exposure to the whole process left a lot to be desired. I'm now at a small "boutique" agency and it's great (although nerve racking because we are very vulnerable in this economy) because you can get your hands on or exposure to almost any level of work and recognition is easy to come by.

A few weeks ago I sat down with the creative director and told him I was dissatisfied with the work I've been doing but I love the place, so I ran down what I thought my strengths were and he readily agreed so...last week was a full week of t.v concepting and it was great. He said I did an awesome job and he thought my input was spot on. They're presenting the 3 spots as we speak. I don't expect anything big to come of it at this point but a lot of my ideas made it in there. If Karate Kid was still in here he'd have some advice I'm sure. He's had great success in some big agencies and won many awards including an emmy this past year. I think the way he came up through the agency he started at and what he's done since is truly inspirational.  ;)

Uh... Wasn't Karate kid that guy who faked domestic abuse from his brother?

    yup.

  3. 1025.9! I hit a double mine right in the center on the first bounce. It took forever to come back down and when it did the head was backwards.

  4. Part 4

As we made way through the jungle i felt alot better after some moriphine and them removing the shrapnel and bandaging me and as we hiked through we knew there no guards within ear shot. So we found a clearing sat,ate and disscussed about the safest path and the shortest so we wouldnt have to hike for 2 days we found one going down a river by a base of the enemy. We knew it was sucide but we needed to get there as fast as possible to meet up with extraction and i was badly injured. The reason i was nursed of wounds right away because i had the raft for river sailing. 2 miles to the river we hiked them and set the raft in the water and we brought our gear and weapons on.

2 dead teammtes and we are in a inflatable raft.......

Not nice to think about but it was all i had to think about as we casted off. We saw the enemy stronghold.........

kind of short today but there are 6 parts part 5 you will see what happens next

REMBER THIS IS BASED OFF A GR MISSION I PUT REALISM IN IT LIKE YOU WERE A SQUAD COMMANDER IN WAR!!!

Dude. You'll never make it out alive floating down the river in a raft. Can you say sitting duck? I can. I'm guessing the next installment will have them being cut to ribbons by enemy fire whilst floating merrily down the river. The End.

P.S. Maybe it was the morphine and he's really being medivac'd as we speak. He just thinks he's in a raft. It was all a dream. diddleoo, diddleoo, diddleoo

  5. Wow, e-Bay and just about every other site is firewalled here... so I'll name some, and come back in with links later.

    1973 Mercury Cougar Convertible

    1971 Chevy Nova SS Convertible

    1959 Cadillac Deville Convertible

    1953 Chevy Corvette Convertible

    1967 Shelby Mustang

    1957 Chevy Impala Convertible

    *seeing a pattern? :)*

I'm more than likely off on some years there. But I'll come back with a better post later.

1958 was the first impala silly boy.

  6. My bud usually hosted games but recently, I've been unable to see his IP game status via the multiplayer internet game tab. He hasn't changed any port forwarding settings and his IP address is correct. I can ping his IP address and get a response, but for some reason GR can't see his machine. He tried resetting his router, but that didn't seem to work either.

The only thing that we can point to is that his wife rearranged his office while he was out of town, but she connected everything back correctly, and he has no problems with his network/router/firewall. He's able to join other online games with no problem as well. HELP!!!

  7. well this is the first part of many its like any other bok it starts borreing and gets better as it goes along

You should look up some of Snake's war stories, that could be a helpful study.

    Poll

We haven't had a decent poll for a while, so I thought I'd get things moving again.

I thought we could do with some fun and games for a change as this is a forum about a computer game, let's just kick back, relax, and love each other.

    Nerd. How's that for love.
