I recently purchased GR Gold. I've noticed that when I host a game on Gamespy, people are able to enter the room, but are not able to enter the game. It appears that there may be a version compatibility issue. Is there a "standard" version, and how can I tell which versions of the base game, DS, and IT I have? I'm not sure how to tell if the Gold package is current on all the patches or if we need to patch but it seems like patches would work backward, so we must have a more advanced patch than is available to everyone else.

it was only us two who had ventrilo and we have the gr gold edtion. and ventrilo works for us when we use it. maybe they didn't have gold gr but that one guy was in a clan so i find that hard to believe. i'm surprised how many people don't have gold. maybe that's all it was but i'm new to ventrilo software so i have no idea.

how do you get a screengrab that's clear of all the threat indicator and other garbage on the screen? i've seen them on sites and would like to find out how to get a clear one?

here's the deal. i have ventrilo and so does my friend. he gathered a game on a "popular" gaming site and we had 3 other people in there. when he lauched from the staging area to the game only us 2 came in. ventrilo is a seperate entity so i didn't think that could've been the cause but for the other 3 players to drop seemed odd. and one was in a clan so he must've had the island/dessert package (i considered that) and we weren't running any mods. anyone have insight here.

thanks. i am on a pc. what exactly is quickloading? as opposed to? and can i change perspectives while watching the replay to other soldiers?

i heard talk of watching games back. you can record them and watch them later? even if they're online or if i host on my ip? i like to hear more about this possibility if you know about it.

i used my rogerwilco in someone elses game when they gave me their ip address and i entered it in the multiplayer/join game area and in the rogerwilco join channel area. last night i tried to host a channel and although it seems that i successfully did it in the rw app. when i went into gr through gamespy (or another game site) we couldn't hear eachothers transmit. is it because i have to enter an ip address in gr rather than go through a gamesite? if so how do you use it when going through a game server. may be a stupid question but....

o.k. i'm looking to upgrade to a commodore 64 or a timex sinclair myself. should have no problems running these games right?
