  1. please do. i've been doing a bit of research and legwork to solve this issue with a mac gamer that me and my bud play with (we use cell phone conferencing now) but have come up empty thusfar. plenty of free minutes on the cell phone but the sound of three people on a cell phone is less than desireable.

  2. so is everything in the IT folder an exe file now that would have to be zipped before burning? lets say not since i don't have my pc here at work to check. so if i burn the IT folder and he copies it to his mods folder on his mac, where should he put it? free in there or create an IT folder like on the pc? just dump it all into the mods free? and then would you activate it under option/mods just like on the pc? all in one recognizeable mod called IT or individually?

  3. thx. we've been on the roof though. i'll keep looking. the map seems to be clear and the way we've been running all over like [Edit] just trying to keep the threat red on our screen, if they haven't shot us i don't see where they could be. although the courthouse area ghost fires at us whenever we go over there and we thought we had cleared that area and we can't find him at all.

  4. i gave up trying to find these threats. i ran around for 10 min with another guy outside the embassy trying to figure out where oh where could they be. trying all doors and going on the roof to look on other roofs. i think it's a glitch and they don't exist. what's your opinion if you've played it? we gave up trying and quit the map.

p.s. not to mention an unseen gunman in the bushes outside the courthouse as well!

  5. i had this problem last night with my friend on a mac that bought the game and i'm on a pc. go to this link and click on desert seige. then download and install the 2 patches in order and you'll be ready to go. he's pretty bad with computers and once we did that it worked fine. although i had to deactivate the island thunder expansion since it doesn't exist for the mac version (that i know of). this will solve the problem. you're welcome in advance.

  6. i absolutely understand the sense behind letting the crosshairs settle and shooting from a still position. just wondering about the subtle accuracy differences between the three shooting positions themselves. thanks guys. any other responses and ifo is still welcome.

  7. i've been told (haven't read the manual all the way) that you have better accuracy (especially as a sniper) when crouching as opposed to standing or laying on the ground. i've also noticed that the crosshairs spread less on some weapons when crouch/walking rather than just walking upright. can anyone confirm these things or offer up other hint like these subtle differences?

  8. i got my gr running through my old intellivision game console this weekend. it took a while though. originally i wanted to get it up and running through my colecovision but mice had built a nest in it while it was stored in my attic. i am sending it out to a colecovision authorized service center in boise this week. keep your fingers crossed.

  9. commodore has remedied that problem actually. your friend may have an old system. the new one comes with a suit of armor to protect you from those glitches. it's not easy to get it in the car from the store and it gets awfully hot when playing along with some visual incapacitations but all and all it's very much worth looking into.
