NO! Please Snake, we're allies. Don't turn on me. I'm your student. What kind of punishment do I get? Just don't turn on me. PLEASE!

Enough TC. I think you're all ready to read my life story as written by Stephen Hunter. I promise you won't be dissapointed.

Holy Smokes Mag! I used to build Mac trucks and funny cars when I was a kid but that beats all. A few years back I started again due to our long crappy winters. I'll see if I can find (packed away) some. They're mostly muscle cars though. Doubt if that would interest this crowd but I'll look for them.

What does this mean? Is it directed at Rocky or TC.

It's directed at some guy called rockey, and comes from our resident Typo expert.
If making them makes him an expert...well...he is an expert then.

Am I allowed to quote entire song lyrics?

I hope not. That's too creepy. Too much info. Unless it's the care bears or barney.

It's a very nice automobile. However, I'm not a big fan of how Ford is marketing it. A return to the old days of the GT40? If Ford really thought that they would have renewed the freaking trademark (GT40) when it came up several years back!!! They wanted to call the car the GT40, but the new owner of the trademark wouldn't let them.
There must be more to the story than that. I don't think the designers or engineers had anything to do with that. So it's to them that I tip my hat.
There is.
As it happened, a while back Ford saw a chance to make a few bucks, and IIRC SOLD the GT40 naming rights to a small company making replicas, of course this was before retro was ever heard of.
When they asked for it back, this small company politely refused, unless the Ford motor company forked over something in the lower tens of millions IIRC for the transfer.
So (this is straight from the horses mouth) ford decided to call it the GT and save money, based on the assumption that everyone else would call it the GT40 by default., and they wouldn't have to.
***On a side note, the original was called the GT40 because it was 40 inches high. The new one is taller, and therefore using the same convention, would be more likely called the GT 42 1/2 or thereabouts.

Thanks for the info Schenk. You the man.

Those Aston Martin's are sweet. They have always been at the very top of my list. The GT is a very specific machine though. The Aston are versatile. I would take the Aston first, but if I was really rolling in the dough I'd have to have a GT as well.

I did like that when I first saw it but I think it's wat too overdone like many of the european performance machines.
-
Doesn't surprise me in the least. The styling on this car tops everything I've ever seen in similar body types and they stomped them in performance the first time they made the car 35 0r so years ago.

Not even the same animal feller. My buddy has a nice mini. Black with white roof, rims and mirrors. He did the checked roof himself and it came out 10x better than the factory one.

I'll listen to all comers but I've never seen a car brought back to life like this. I'm a Ford man it's true but I'm not blind, I like plenty of other cars. The new Cobra doesn't even come close to this. I hope this car does real well for them. I'm just speechless so I'll stop here and let you all enjoy the majesty.

One of the biggest things to concentrate on in the beginning is to keep your head down and your eye on the ball. Most people swing their head up when the club is about to come into contact with the ball in order to follow it with their eye. It's a natural instict but it makes you miss the ball more times than not. Practice not moving your head or eye from where the ball is/was until 1-2 seconds after you swing through it. Trust me that you won't miss where your ball goes. There are umpteen million more tips but that is a good starter.

I....I....I....won't bother.

If you can afford that at your age SI you're doing very well.

What do you need to know? 1st of all you need some webspace to host them (unless you are a gr supporter here and then you get some space on this server). 2nd you can pull one like mine off just for sizing purposes. 3rd go nuts. What else?
