GRAW 2 kits vs GRAW 1 custom kit
Zoot replied to C9.Constantine's topic in GR:AW 2 (PC) - General Discussion
Kits need more balancing, though. but customizationable on [GR] co-op would be great. -
I'm just saying, when I play a class thats suppose to be putting suppressive fire downrange, thats what I want to do, not resort to single fire to hit targets. Support players shouldn't be forced into that position. They should be able to have some degree of accuracy with 4-6round bursts. Special forces SAW gunners are still saw gunners. Realistically, SAW gunners won't be using single or 3shot bursts. There's a reason there's no fire mode selector on a M249 or M240. It's either safe or full auto. Only LMGs from HK seem to have single/burst/auto.

? Because I'm a ghost I should be using single fire with my squad AUTOMATIC weapon?

I don't know about you guys that say the support kits are great. I played as support all the time in GRAW1, and I mostly played support in the GRAW2 demo, so I don't think I'm a noob support player whining about how bad it is. There's just no competition for support players at anything further than mid range. The recoil and blinding muzzleflash always throws me off target even when firing in bursts. The enemy rifleman sees me by then and gets off a quick burst which is usually fatal. You guys say the using single fire compensates for the accuracy, but what SAW gunner would ever use single f

I know the whole pretense of the support class is to lay down covering fire. But, like you said, Wolfsong, it doesn't work in the game. Support players are just bait to everyone else, with their more accurate weapons. So, this needs some addressing, don't you think? All classes should be at least somewhat equal. I really think adding bipods (or just a greatly increased accuracy when prone) or some combatsights would even the playing field greatly. That way, support can actually lay down some suppressive fire that the enemy is AFRAID of and will keep their heads down, so the rest of the team

Has anybody seen people playing as support on a PvP server? I think I've seen about 10 players online total using the support class up until now since I purchased the game the day it came out. Now, think how many times you've seen players playing Demo, Assault or sniper. Yeah... kinda outta proportion, don't you think? Why? Because the support guns are horrible! The only way you can kill somebody is at close range or if you get lucky at mid range. The recoil is massive and the muzzleflash is like a flamethrower, so you really cant make out what you're even shooting at by the 4th shot. Chang

Don't villainize me! I just speak the facts that I observed. Try going on a random pub server playing RvA. 80% of the ghost just run around deathmatching and make no effort at taking down the ADATs. I go blow up the first one after the majority of my team gets killed so they can respawn. I go to the second one and I'm killed by a defender. Nobody else even makes a push for it and I'm sitting there dead for the rest of the round. Way to repay be there, fellas. Some ghosts are even camping the Mexican spawn area to get kills for themselves. Thats public server teamplay for you. Yet I get call
-
Well, first of all lemme say that I value teamplay. However, I can't really say that applies when I'm playing TDM on a public server with random pubbers. Frankly, when I go pubbing, I don't care if my teams wins or not. I only care about my score. In TDM, getting a good score is doing good for your team anyway. In modes like hamburger hill and siege, I make a good push for the cap points and don't just run around killing people. However, my point is that teamwork and comradeship is wasted on public servers. If you want the real deal experience, you should play with a clan with voice comms.

When is Patch coming out?
Zoot replied to BuFFaLo-SouLjaH's topic in GR:AW 2 (PC) - General Discussion
Be careful GRIN. Look at what happened to the R6V community when they were deprived of patch info for half a year. The mods on the R6V forums were all like "Ooooh well we can't discuss patch info because its confidential. We won't tell you if we're even working on it or what it will address." Kinda like what you're starting to to here. Now look at the game. Theres nobody playing and the community died. I dont understand all the confidentiality behind patching a game. Its not like you're giving out nuclear launch codes, it's a patch for a game. Why does UBI have to be so secretive? Is a s -
I'm Glad those GRiN guys dissappeared
Zoot replied to Sleepdoc-iBeta's topic in GR:AW 2 (PC) - General Discussion
yes I REALLY HOPE THEY ARE MAKING CUSTOMIZATIONABLE KITS IN CO-OP. cough cough -
Or you could have 21 - 0 like me! Being slow and tactical really does pay off in this game. Here are my tips 1.Lay out ambush spots according to your uniform camo and make sure you have shrubbery, trees etc behind you to break up your outline. 2.Listen to foot steps and you can nail people trying to sneak up on you. 3.Trick the enemy into thinking you're going this way and go the other way and get him from behind. 4.Make sure you have your flanks cover by teammates. 5.Avoid hotspots and find a nice place to settle down and be patient. BOOYA!

I agree its been toned down - but I think it was a smart move

Chopper exfil prob in co-op campaign mode
Zoot replied to Zoot's topic in GR:AW 2 (PC) - General Discussion
Happen AGAIN. Mission 2 -
I dont know how many of you have experienced this problem. On certain missions on coop campaign, the exfil chopper appears to be floating in the air to some clients, and they say they cannot get it. To the host, the chopper appears to be on the ground and is fully boardable. This ALWAYS seems to happen on mission 2, sometimes on mission 9 and sometimes on mission 6. Is this an isolated issue, or has anybody else had the problem?

[Does using grenades compromise stealth?]

throwing grenades DOES compromise your stealth. It like shooting a unsuppressed firearm. -
