I had a thread like this a few weeks ago and basically the conclusion was "We aren't gonna change the game, so stop asking"
Rather stupid, I think. Of course the support class is suppose to be a suppressive role, by laying down massive amounts of fire. In real life, people stay down when a M249 is firing their way. However, in a VG, they pop up anyway because it's not their real life on the line, and take a few hits and headshot the MG gunner.

Its not possible to co-op without voip, thus the only solution is rambo time on pub servers.

I asked for this in a previous thread for the LMGs, and none of the devs gave a response. I think they think it's too much work.

GRIN view co-op as a bad smell mate and just wish we would go away.
I totally agree with you. All the advancements in GRAW2 MP was in the pvp sector. The co-op acually got downgraded from GRAW. And all the pleas of "please add free weapon selection in co-op" have been ignored again and again.
Funny how their new brainchild RvA pvp mode is not so popular however, due to lack of voice comms and teamwork. GRIn shouldnt have ditched co-op. There are man players like me who spend much more time killing bots thatn humans.

I have seen this problem too.
I used to play with a clan mate in campagin co-op all the time and after 1.03, he cant see my server no more.

One thing I dont understand is, why are the mex gun positions on the US side looking towards the mexican side?
Shouldnt they be facing the other way, into texas?

I was disappointed in the fact that clearly when most co-op hosters had the same problem, GRIN blew it off as our fault for not having maintained computers.
Well, I can tell you this, my computer is fine. The patch is the problem.

I can confirm that I cannot host a co-op campaign(curiously I can host missions 1,2,7). I get the same error as all the other guys.
I think only a small portion of players have acually tried hosting co-op campaign, and thats why there's only so little people reporting the error. I'm sure there are tons of other players that can;t host and don't know it yet because they haven't tried.
And Wolfsong, I never said the patch fragged my HD. I said it is absurd for a patch to require a re installation and a HD defrag to work properly.

This was working fine for me previously, but now after the 1.03 patch, I get a error.
it says "connection error, failed to establish a server"
and then "Application has happened upon a unknown error, please restart the application"
It's not only me as I told the other people I was about to play with to host, since I couldn't and they all got the exact same error message.
What's going on?

Good god! When did this topic get so huge? Why do you guys want women in GRAW anyway? I'm guessing around 98% of the members here at GRnet are men, and frankly, I think it's a weird fetish that men want to play as women characters in video games. I think the problem is pretty rampant enough in MMO games, we dont need it in GRAW.

Another stupid reviewer with the same gripes. OH! the singleplayer campaign is TOO hard, its sadistic! The graphics are too drab, so.. they suck! The squad AI is pathetic!...etc.
Well, there are a few gameplay clips of him playing that provide insight into why the guy thinks its too difficult. He totally runs and guns like rambo, making no use of stealth. He uses full auto rock-n-roll most of the time, and doesn't really use the tac map. Just front on gung ho attack. And the he dies and complains the game is hard.
Yeeeah. Now I understand why all the reviewers say its hard. They all played like this guy did.
At the end of the review he babbles about how GRAW2 pc is a solid shooter but does not compare to it's superior console counterpart.
Nuff said.

It would be nice if we got new support guns, but realistically, I think thats not going to happen. I just hope we get working bipod support!

I think the Rx4 is a great gun to use in GRAW2, but I NEVER use it, because I feel the gun is a cash in. The gun is not being used by the US military (or ANY military in the world at that) so, why the hell is it even in this game? Because it looks cool on the box and it will sell more games. Same with the MR-C.

1.M416 with aimpoint and supp.
2.SCAR-H with aimpoint
3.M14 unscoped

I think the LMG was perfect in graw1, I dunno why they upped the recoil in Graw2
