I have been really anticipating this game, had high hopes/expectations.
I'm finding the game virtually unplayable though due to performance issues. I have ever possible setting, the lowest possible. And i'm gettting horrendous lagged movements and such. Also the 1st person sound effecct for your own gun. (Intel DG965WH - Sigma Tel Audio) I know theres an onbaord sound issue, so i'm not worried about that. I'm aware of the widescreen issue as well, so I'm not worrying about that yet.
I'm worried the fact that the game is on the lowest possible settings running my my:
E6600 2.4ghz
2gb RAM
Geforce 7950GT 512mb
Vista 32bit.
I havent installed FRAPS to give you a Frame rate but i'm sure it's ######-poor. I have minimal processes running in the background.
Movments are incredibly delayed, crouching, standing, walking, time i click to the time i fire, turning with the mouse. It's like I input a string of commands, then I watch them carry out.
Has ANYONE been having abnormal issues like this? I don't understand it. I've been playing FEAR flawlessly on maxed settings (granted the game is a bit older now...) I'm a little aggravated right now because I really want to try this seemingly good game.

Absolutely perfect. The only issue i had was with FEAR. Someone said they ran into an issue with X-Fire running in the background that caused the game to be unplayable. So pre-emptively, i turned off X-Fire before playing this just to be safe so I wouldnt have to restart the game up. X-Fire doesnt give me issues with anything else, and never had been before.
For some reason the Driver page for X86 Vista/7 series cards won't load up. So I just had vista search for and update and found one and installed. I did that when I saw that the requirements start up had an X for 95whatever drivers.
I've had no issues with Vista and performance related things, other than my X-Fi card, Creative can't get a decent freakin vista driver out for it and they keep whining and instead of trying to resolve the issue they release these stupid flowcharts showing how vista's architecture changed and why it's a problem. Hence, i'm using my onboard becuase I got sick of crackling, popping hissing, and sound cutting out completely. (As if Vista's release was something no developer was aware of. It was only in beta forever, and it's not like MS doesnt bring in developers, and say "this is what we're doing, now you know and you can develop accordingly." Different issue then)
I'm gonna fiddle some more. This is stupid.
