  1. No driving vehicles or flying planes for me. That's another sim.

I can see them flying to the next map already. haha

I don't like sitting in the Black Hawk, not be able to reload, and you can jump off the helo meters from the ground, and not break a leg !

If we all could enter and drive them who will be on the ground then ? And if you got the helo first maybe your teammate is angry and shoots you out the sky. Or does everyone has it's own helo ?

Please don't do this to GR. (I mean RSE, not the modders. They can do it, if they like.)

The missions for the Ghosts take place before that: recon.

I would like better/more actor-animations, and maybe more different types of soldiers, like spotters. Maybe more commands to give to the AI.

But who knows what we get ? or what not...

Just an opinion. (I always say that to be sure not get any negative feedback, hehe)

  2. The older you get the faster the years fly by.

When you were a little kid, you looked up to the world, and a day was a long time.

Now you're older and nothing matters that much anymore, so a week is like a day !

I'm 27 years young ! I hope I'll reach the 70's and still be able to play GR. What version should it be then ? GR 44 ? If it still exists, lol.

  3. @Apollo: I'm making a mission-mod.

It will use files from other mods, but they're not in my mod-folders. The only files in my mod-folder would be .mis .atr .env (made by myself).

So to play my missions, you need my mod and the other mods.

And as you say : 'does NOT include files from another mod but relies on an existing mod in order to use it', then I'm save, right ?

  4. - .:Nightmare:.,Feb 25 2003, 18:34 ] So it would be: MyMod/Kits/demolitions-06.kit for the enemy actors?

    Yes.

    Isn't 'demolitions-06.kit' from the Origmiss\Kits\Demolitions folder ?

Those folders are for friendlies in MP-games, as mentioned before.

Ofcourse you can copy one from there and put it in your mod-folder and then edit it, but it confused me as I didn't knew what you exactly wanted: kit for enemy-actor or kit for friendly MP-actor !

  5. - .:Nightmare:.,Feb 25 2003, 18:13 ] So can I change the opposing force kits or not?

    default.kit = ak47 with 6 frags.

You can make your own kit file in Igor - Tools - Kit editor.

Select from the Equip folder the item(s) you want to use.

Now you can select your kit to be used for the opposing force.

  6. I don't like knowing where the enemy is. Too easy, they are waiting for you to be killed.

Better make the whole mission random: insertion, number of enemies, plans of enemies, maybe even the objectives.

This way you can play the mission more than once, and still be surprised some times.

    Just my opinion.

  7. SAN That screen capture is great.

One question did you let the sniper get Cap'd or did you save him?

    It's not what you think...

They are both on the same company.

The sniper has a cover-plan, and the rebel is interrogating.

@John Pain: 1st one is very good ! hehe !

@the.ronin: It took a while to see: they all kill each other, great !

  8. Tnx for all the help so far, Wolfsong !

But it still doesn't work. :(

I've used both RSE plug-in's from DS+IT (both were named the same though, but different filesizes). RSB.8bi (DS) and rsb.8bi (IT)

And they are different yes, but they both save only in 24bit max.

    Maybe my PS doesn't support 36bit ?

    PS v6.0

Maybe you can send me your 'RSBBitmap (*.RSB;*.RSB)' plug-in by email, because my plug-in's both say: RSB (*.RSB;*.RSB).

  9. I have tried the Alpha Blended, with Source Function: Source Alpha and Destination Function: Inverse Source Alpha.

When I save the RSB it reduces in size (from 1MB original size to 500KB). Also the Alpha-Channel seems to be saved only halfway, half of the icons don't show up. ???

BTW if the brfg-box files are 1MB each, I better not include them: I got only 10MB webspace (already 7MB full) ! (Although I saw a compress-function)

  10. Wolfsong: I have the rsb-plug-in from the IT-cd. Is that the newest ?

If I tried to save the rsb (with alpha-channel), it says 'not all data will be saved'.

This is because (I think) if you open an image in PS, it loads it into seperate layers. The original rsb has only 1 (compressed?) layer.

So I tried to put the layers together, and when I save it now, it doesn't say 'not all data will be saved' anymore.

    scrn0001.jpg

But in the briefing it still shows up wrong.

Also after the above screen another one appeared:

    scrn0002.jpg

Do I need to do something here too ?

What am I doing wrong ?
