  1. do you have the ossetian woodlands map? if not, you dont know what youre missing !!!! this map was designed by real experts. check it out. I already got the map, and it's one of the best. Anyway tnx for info. I wonder if the makers of that map have made more maps.
  2. There are BMF files and ANM files in the Ghost Recon\Data\Motion folder. Don't know if 3DSM supports those extensions.

  4. I made 8khz 8bit mono music-wav's and they work. Also 22khz 8/16bit stereo works for music. Sounds must be mono. I start them with PlaySound.
  5. Large maps with lots of nature (trees/water/jungle).
  6. If you have 10kg weight on you from beginning, the game-engine has to check the weight constantly because you loose weight after shooting/throwing frags. For every actor. It would be nice, but impossible for today computers.

  10. HALO's are more for insertion-animations. After the drop, you're on your mission, so it's a little part of the whole mission. Just like helo/boat/vehicle-insertion. IMO
  11. I only see medics within large platoons, or at nearby bases. Ghosts are with 6 only, so once one is wounded and can't continue it's no good to let the whole team wait for him to be fixed up. I think they'll need to continue the mission with one man less. He will try to survive alone. And once the mission is completed they will rejoin and extract. BTW, if there were medics around, the wounded soldier still isn't able to continue the mission. Only thing he'll get treated right away, but he won't recover within minutes. IMO I love GR's simplicity, makes it close to reality.
  12. Some people get a kick to have the most posts. I can remember after the attack, all post-counts where gone (hehe). I was on the first page (yeaha). I really don't give a (oops almost said it !) It's not about how many posts (I see people with real crap coming up), but about the content, and if it's any help for someone.   13. @Fehyd : good idea man, go for it, and 2 people at the time isn't so bad as long as others can wait (like in FP). I don't know why people dislike FP so much, I got almost all mods from there. Mostly without waiting, and with a nice speed. I got cable. So I would say good for those to have an alternative DL-site. GL
  14. Maybe they manage to shoot a hole in your canteen. Then you can throw it away (like a frag). Should scare them off for some while.

  16. OK now I can save RSB (with alpha-channel), because of PS7.0, I tried to compress the RSB's since they were 1MB each. After compressing they're 250KB, with (almost) the same quality. My missions (with .MIS .ATR .ENV .RSB) will take about 300KB, so I can make 30 of them (30x300KB=9000KB) and put them on my website (10MB).
  17. Yeah mission-making is time-consuming. Specially for random plans, to check them.
  18. It's no real-life, it's a game. It needs to be balanced for gameplay. IMO.
  19. I think you mean Carribean. It's a very large map (maybe largest). I like it. Not very popular though because of it's size it's RAM-hungry.
  20. I got all settings on high, shadows off, bodies on, bullets off. In a MP-game on Ghost Town (can still remember), someone was shooting at me while I was covering behind a house. The bullets hit the wall of the house, and made a bullet-hole-texture, right in front of my view. I had to move to have vision again. So no bullet-holes for me. Dead bodies I always have on, I don't like shooting at someone and not hitting him because there's a invisible death body in front of him. Shadows are something people underestimate.   21. I don't use them, because you must wait till someone steps on it, and you can't switch to your primary. And it's recommended that you'll need someone with sensors with you. If you do switch to your gun, is the claymore gone ? Or do you need to set it again ? And what exactly is the difference between a claymore and C4 ?
  22. Wilderness. This map gives me the creeps, you have to watch every bush for enemies, and avoid the open spaces because of snipers. I'll use a silenced assault-rifle for extra stealth, which will be my first tactic.

Like Wolfsong's modelview. - Different faces view. - Weapon view. - Helo's (how to load, unload, take off, land, etc.) - Plans (how to cover, patrol, MROE, CROE, stances, etc.) - Group-blocks (randomization) - GTF's (how to make firefight, recon, siege, etc.) - Sounds (music, emitters, 3d) - Waypoints. - Objectives. - Hostage/captive behavior. You can make many tutorial-mods, just check the most asked questions here in the forums.
