The FR skin looks great! I need to talk to JTF-2 about the status of the skin he is doing before I can give you a definite answer though. Good work though, all those skins you did look awesome.

what were you qualifying on?

Can't wait to get my hands on it

@ Copenhagen:
That was actually just an inside joke Cope, the .22 pictured is not utilized by Force Recon. It is a modified remington 597 that may show up in a future mod.

-
I took the easy way out. What I did was create a landscape pic in photoshop, then I put a ret (in this case the aimpoint dot) over it & fine-tuned the opacity bit to where I wanted it. I would be ecstatic if anyone could tell me how to make transparent textures - I do not know how.

Here is the .22 "whispering death" special purpose rifle. The FR mod will feature a SD version of this quiet, lethal weapon.

Nice work!

Six, is that the one you told me about, and can I start to utilize it as soon as I can get a hold of it?

The article those pictures came from is a good reference for how the m4a1'a, m240g, and m249para should be equipped. As far as the para, I like the second picture. For the M4 SOPMOD all I can think of is maybe remove the vertical grip? And if you want to replace the aimpoint on the regular M4a1 & w/203 w/ an acog sight - I would rather these be equipped for recon patrols. These are all only if you want to change all the models to differentiate.
On the topic of making changes, can you add a suppressor to the Barrett (or if you shoot me the .max file I can do it if you are using a version compatible w/ 3)?
Here are some references:
(that is a dampening spring directly behind the suppressor)

OPS Inc. - This site has some great video of suppressed weapons being fired & I'm going to extract sound from several for the mod.
I leave it in your capable hands Earl. Work is piling up here so I might be tied up most of the week too. This will most likely push release back til about the first week of May.

Outstanding! Thanks demo dick.

Work has had me tied up the past several days. I look to get some modding in tomorrow night possibly.

The SEALs are great at what they do, but they do not have the capability to fulfill the USMC role.
-
Affirmative.

Technically speaking the USMC is stovepiped under the Dept of Navy. It would be incorrect to assume that the USMC and Navy share the same gear just because they fall in the same pentagon dept though. The Commandant of the USMC is directly under CNO in the COC, who is under the CJCS.
The United States Marine Corps was unleashed on the world by an act of the Continental Congress on November 10, 1775 to be a kick-ass landing force for the navy beans. Tripoli came later

Those are some great skins, no doubt! The SFI 03 would work w/ a nomex assault suit & balaclava. I think even though it is a MICH helmet we can slide by.
-
The patrol skin will feature bush covers (boonies).
-
All I have gotten so far is permission, I still have to receive files and piece it together. I will provide SS's ASAP.

The patrol skin has already been provided for by Sixpence. I will look into attachments and see what I can do for the SFL holster and mag pouch (I was going to check them out anyway for a diff attachment idea I had. The PASGT helmet is the standard military k-pot.

The coloring on the top model is ideal.

Thanks Argyll. I'd like to check them out, can you email them to me at reconsnake@charter.net?

Piccolo, one of the splash screens I made last week uses that first pic u linked to.
JTF-2 I want the PASGT helmet if possible, no MICH or pro-tech. The assault vest in the pictures Piccolo linked to is a model adopted recently, but the BH one I gave you is accurate for the timeframe I am going for & I really didn't think you could find a model close enough to the PB vest geometry to skin. KISS and go with the one you have already done. I couldn't tell from the darkness of your last draft whether the ammo pouches & holster were 3d or not, what is the word on that? Thanks buddy - keep up the good work.

Looks great! The flag patch is a nice touch, but I need one version without it too. I love it!
-
Ok, just got off the phone and 4th Force Reconnaissance Company hasn't seen a MICH yet. The 1rst has a few, but I was told that isn't SOP gear for them either. So no biggie JFT, but the PASGT is still at the top of the list.

The "Meaning of the Fold" is an unofficial ceremony proceeding. The verses are read aloud as the United States Flag is being folded. It is done to commemorate special events like Memorial or Veterans Day. It is true that this is not why the flag is folded 13 times however. The fold procedure predates the ceremony by a substantial amount of time. '
As far as the 3 volley barrage by a 7 man honor guard:
"This practice originated in the old custom of halting the fighting to remove the dead from the battlefield. Once each army had cleared its dead, it would fire three volleys to indicate that the dead had been cared for and that they were ready to go back to the fight. The fact that the firing party consists of seven riflemen, firing three volleys does not constitute a 21-gun salute."
