Got 'em & I'll try to push forward on progress tonight.

I don't really want to see the Ghosts running police actions. I would prefer that Ubi stick to more realistic missions as far as what a military unit would engage in.

@ donkey, that's fine you certainly have a right to disagree. But I stand by my points.

Personally, I don't think the medic would be a good idea. If I take a 7.62 thru the thigh or bicep slapping some gauze on it isn't going to do much for me but stop the bleeding and hopefully prevent infection. It's not going to magically heal the injured flesh or stop the excruciating pain - both of which substantially decrease performance. Pain killers that might be administered would decrease my overall efficiency too. I say Ubi handles this aspect of casualties just fine.

I have visions of a bloated cow of a game haunting my dreams now - the exact antithesis of what the Ghosts are supposed to represent.

I need all skins ASAP guys. Trying to make some progress in the few hours of spare time I have this weekend. My email is reconsnakeatcharter.net (insert @ in proper place)
Again, thanks for the hard work!!!

NP, I only noticed b/c it is frequently a pain in the rear for me to find the right-side pic I need (with the dust cover open)

One thing you might want to consider is a right-side receiver texture with the ejection port, no fire selection switch, and a forward assist. Not absolutely neccesary of course, but it does add to the realism.

How many times have you snuck up close enough to an AI enemy in GR to use a knife?
-
IMHO, FPWV and iron sights are only eye candy. You already have a decrease in peripheral vision in video games. Iron sights further decrease sight radius to an absurd level. I myself have been shooting for 19 years and I know a little about what I'm talking about. FPWV does the same thing, blocking sight lines that would not be blocked in real life. After having to play with this stuff in RVS (only when I am on a server that forces it BTW - I leave it turned off on my computer) I can honestly say I probably won't buy GR2 if they include that or vehicles that you drive/fly or a jump option. If I wanted to play CS / AAO / BF1942 / you name it, those games are already out there.

A variation of the Stoner machinegun link lives on today with the Fabrique Nationale M-249 belt and magazine-fed squad
automatic weapon (SAW).

True enough, Ubi suffers from a bad case of PC.

I was out of contact since early Friday, this was all news to me when I got home today. Sorry if anyone here feels mislead about me suggesting TG as a kick-@ss place to play totally free.

Don't believe every stereotype you hear, most of the spec-op guys I know would do anything for a friend, and are all around good guys. There is a difference between arrogance and confidence.

There isn't a whole lot I would like to see, except maybe the same kind of advance in gameplay/graphics that Rogue Spear represented to Rainbow6. Improvement to team and enemy AI would definitely be welcome. The ability to climb ladders/steeper terrain to achieve good sniper hides. I would like suppressed weapons to be a bit more powerful, but I am more of a realism fan than I am a balancing fan. There are some things I most definitely do NOT want to see though:
1) Iron sights or first person weapon view - I have been playing RSE games since '98 (own all the R6 series & all the GR series + splinter cell) and I do not like how these devices entered into the R6 series with RVS.
2) The jump/hop
3) operating vehicles (fixed place vehicles with mounted weapons might be ok though). I would hate to see GR turn into some BF1942 style game.
4) I'm not too crazy about the feel of the UT engine in RVS either - if they are going to use it for GR2 I hope they smooth it out. Pretty graphics but a funky feel.
5) Mistaking the Ghosts for law enforcement officers.
It just kind of seems to me that Ubi tried to take the stuff that CS Fans (and a few other games) enjoy and merge them together with R6 for RVS - but to me it stole a bit of what made the R6 series so great. And if it makes a lesser product for the fans in order to bring new players in is it a fair trade-off? Not from my point of view.

Here is a qd suppressor attached properly:

NP, glad I could help

You can view them in igor or you can just look at the .gun file found in the GR equipment folder. Open it with notepad.

Seems he is talking about in MP games.

See my above post. The urban myth site says the assertion that
is false. They are correct. An American flag is traditionally folded thirteen times because each of the folds has a special meaningThe Ceremony was invented much later than the customary folding of the flag. Therefore there is no way that the special meaning is the reason a flag is folded that way. I do like the Ceremony however

how realistic do u want ghost recon 2 to be?
in GR2 PC - [Cancelled]

Is this for sure? Can you cite a source for that? I'd be interested in reading any news concerning development in what I hope will be my new favorite.
