From my own, personal experience. In regards to the the M60E3 or MK 43, neither one is deployed by the Force Reconnaissance teams. They prefer the Para M249 SAW light machine gun. Using only one per team, since the whole idea is stealth. Belt fed weapons kinda negate that purpose. Their used manly for suppression.
I could be wrong, I never made it pass the combat diving course. However my 1st Sgt. has, I'm constantly drilling him about Force Recon.
