If anyone is looking for a proefssional quality image editing program, that is legitimately free software, as it has been released as a GNU licenced application, check out the GIMP homepage (GNU Image Manipulation Program, this G.I.M.P.)
Specifically, the Windows version can be found here.
Again, this is legitimate freeware, although like most projects of this nature, the creators certainly wouldn't hate it if you donated a little something if you like their program.

Technically, RSE considers SOAF a R6 "lite" product, more than a GR style game.
It was meant to be a CQB take on the GR engine, but a SWAT/HRT/RS style of game.

YES!
That was my issue as well.
I have a Logitech Wingman Extreme, which has a tilt sensor in it, and I had the same issue as Rocky, with the frenetic movements. I killed the tilt sensor and all was well.
Level 2 of the demo is still gettting me. I got as far as using the grapple to descend through the electrical "storm" but the guard at the bottom nailed me well, despite my grenades.

Tue "Report This Post" button is not for general feedback. It's for those times when someone posts something that is clearly against the terms of use for the forum, and you don't have a more direct way of notifying an admin (such as ICQ or whatever).
It sends a somewhat global alert to the moderating team that there is a violation in effect that needs attention.
It's kind of like calling 911 to request tickets to the Policeman's Ball.

That reminds me of an incident that occurred during my driver's licence road test a decade and a half ago. I won't bother with details, as they aren't important, but the idea of that stoic recovery from a potentially serious accident, calmly executed due to training and perhaps some simple quick thinking is certainly an eye opener.
You fly because you love to fly. You almost ceased flying in a very unpleasant way.
Congrats, not worry, is in order.

XP is actually much more heritage DOS friendly than 2K/ME ever was.
Let me suggest you start here.
Setting things like EMS/XMS memory is actually quite simple. It's just a matter of editing the properties (right clicky stuff) of the DOS executable/.pif/.bat file.
Good gaming on the vintage apps.

No, you do not have to buy patches.
The game shipped as version 1.0, when it was just Ghost Recon.
It was later patched to version 1.1 via a free download.
Then, Desert Siege (the expansion pack) was release in retail. This also had the side effect of patching GR to version 1.2
Because of this, RSE/Ubi released a bugfix patch that addressed the same issues that the retail pack did, just without the new missions/weapons. This patch was free.
Then, Island Thunder was released. This release was another "new content" retail pack, and was released with patch 1.3 alongside it. Both addressed the same bugs, but only the retail pack contained the new content.
Shortly after, RSE/Ubi released patch 1.4, which was a very small bugfix. Again, being a patch, it was completely free.
Nobody has ever had to pay for a patch, with GR/DS/IT. We have had to pay for new campaigns and such that happened to coincide with free patches to make sure everyone was compatible and bugfixed.
So, if you own Ghost Recon, but not Desert Siege or Island Thunder, you will need to install the free patches to bring your version up to the current (1.4)
If you own DS and/or IT, then you don't need to download the interim patches, because they were thoughtfully included in the retail packs.
Anyway, here's a link to a page where you can get Patch 3 for compatability, and then Patch 4 for full gaming goodness.

Ooops...
It's supposed to be GR/DS/IT (and then the 1.4 patch if your version doesn't match at that point, which it likely won't if you don't have the Gold version).
I don't really know if it will be an issue, but if you do have problems, you may have to repeat the process. At least you now know what to do if it gets messed up.

In case of emergency, if you can't determine the cause and resolve it quickly enough for your deadlines... you may be better off reverting to safe mode so you can get your work done, then work on the problem when you can focus on it better.

dont have a normal life
¿Que?

Seriously, it's more important that you participate for the sake of participating, than worry about goals.
Sure, we all want to be the "important name on the list" but it's more important to be a part of the community as a newbie, than merely a fixture.

I'm trying to spam, er, um...

Be informative and insightful with all my posts.
I guess I just need to be MORE insightful in the immediate future.

Seriously, I'm known in some forums as the Googlemeister, and the Spam King.
Here, I just can't do that. It's too.... pure.

I think (and I mean merely think) that you might have a bit of spyware called ClientMan infesting your system.
Just in case, this article details how to tell, what it does, and how to remove it.
Good luck, bro.

Actually, according to this article, as well as a few others, America Online isn't planning on changing their name, but instead AOL Time Warner, which owns the online service, has been asked to remove the AOL from their name, to draw attention due to negative press about AOL Time Warner, from America Online.
Miller's (the CEO of America Online) rationale for seeking the change is that he is concerned that negative publicity regarding the parent company is often associated with the America Online division, the source said, particularly since the full name of AOL Time Warner is often abbreviated to "AOL" in news stories. -
Para, Script School is an excellent, 16 course training program that is free, covers the basics of PHP very well, and gives you access to other sources of assistance.
There's one thing though... it's run by an Adult webmaster, and although the site itself is entirely clean/safe, there will be mention of it at times.

um...MLK was from the 1970's!!!! I think that's the 20th century.
Yep, Martin Luther King was 20th century.
Martin Luther was just a bit before though. About 500 years before.

The file in question is installed in the default Ghost Recon directory when you install the game.
If it's not there, then there must have been an error on install, or it's gone missing after the fact.
The best solution? Reinstall GR.

You won't find the file in the usual DLL places since it's not a system file, it's a GR file specifically, thus illegal to host for download to the general public.

I live in Toronto, and my neighbourhood was the last in the area to get power restored.
We were fully without electricity for just a few minutes shy of 41 hours. Apparently my local switching station, the one that powers about ten square blocks, had a flooding issue related to the power failure.
Forty-one hours with no power.
It's been an amazing experience though. Within minutes of the blackout, people started to realize that something more significant than a localized power blip had occurred, and the bars in this city did record business. Many people were quoted by the media (and just in happenstance) that "Heck, we can't do much else. At least we can drink the beer before it gets warm."
Private citizens took to the streets, to stand in the searing summer heat and direct traffic through many of the snarled traffic light-less intersections. Regular cheers, water bottles and snacks would be delivered to these local minor heroes, only doing what they thought needed to be done.
I've never been more proud of being a Torontonian.

Did these crashes start before or after installing DAGRM4.9?
