Methinks we've found the root of the problem.
You don't upload an image to the forum here. You do upload it to a website/webhost, and then you link to the image here, in your signature.
A file sitting on your computer's hard drive isn't of any use in posting, I'm afraid.

Can you post the web link to your sig?

I doubt Future Shop carries it. You would have to dig to find a brick and mortar store with a boxed copy.
You can get it directly from the manufacturer, at Discreet.com but a word of warning...
3d Studio Max, the only program that would allow you to build new maps in Ghost Recon, retails for about $3,000 USD.

The image must be in JPEG (or JPG), GIF or possible PNG format.
Some folks have tried to use php generated signatures here recently, which this forum does not allow.

I wouldn't turn my nose up at Slackware, but it's a bit more... advanced.

Geez, how many displaced Brits are here?
I'm from the Bolton area originally, in Lancashire County (a bit west of Manchester). I've been living in Southwestern Ontario for most of my life though.
It's interesting to see how many of my partners in ethnicity (or drinking games/"cuisine") have branched out for significantly different lives.

I found a download for one of the "official" fonts used in road signs in the US.

^ has some realistic and understandable trouble with the ladies.
Welcome to the real world.

GR for Xbox only supports split screen for a single Xbox, 2 players.
When you add more consoles, it becomes one Xbox/Game Disc/TV per player.
Sorry, but two Xboxes means only two players. If you want more, you need to network more consoles.

I mean it is windows emulator, or is it not?
Funny you should ask.
WINE stands for Wine Is Not an Emulator.

Seriously!

Are you looking for a competitive team, a social team, or something different?
It's great seeing new blood out there in the servers, and being new is not an issue for most of the folks you will meet.
Why, in fact, (insert plug here), my team has been together for a little more than two years, and is a mix of late teens to folks around your age and a bit older, and we are a social group who compete actively in ladders as we see fit. Mostly Americans, with a healthy dose of Canadians (like ourselves), but we're all in the EST/CST timezone, and play GR, Raven Shield, and plan to branch towards Soldner when it hits the streets.
If I've piqued your interest at all, then by all means, click my sig and register for my team's forums. Word of warning, we've got a certain alternate sense of humour that may put some folks off, but don't be fooled: We're a bunch of good, decent people. After all, why would I want to game with folks I didn't like and respect?

Enough of the plug.
Let us know what you want out of a team/clan, and someone here will undoubtably be able to find you a warm fuzzy place that works for you and their existing members.
GR.net is a great starting place, by the way. Good folks all around.
Best of luck!

Tech specs for your mainboard's RAM:
2 DIMM's of DDR 200/266/333, up to 2 gig's of RAM
I'm a bit off on my research mode at the moment, so sorry if I can't be more specific or detailed in my above link to the Samsung at the moment.
Still, give it a day and you'll probably have a half dozen really good sources in this thread after my initial suggestion.
I know this place. We'll take care of you, bro.

Rocky, if your drive is FAT32 still, try an old DOS or even a prior Win9x boot disk, to bypass XP completely and then manually navigate to the file and delete it.
If you are NTFS, I know there are ways to boot into a DOS shell that allow you to navigate NTFS, but I don't think they support file system actions other than navigation.

Without digging too deeply, this RAM would be enough for any system to use efficiently, is fairly priced, and Samsung is renowned for it's quality.
You probably could get away with cheaper though. I'd take my find above as the simplest starting point, and with luck, someone around here will be able to fine tune to help you out.

Intel/AMD doesn't decide the memory (unless the motherboard is RAMBUS, which AFAIK is Intel only at the moment)... it's the motherboard itself.
EDIT: I didn't notice the motherboard link at first, sorry.
Off the top of my head, Crucial RAM is excellent, and it also comes with a lifetime warranty (as do a few others).
Frankly, generic is a bit of a crapshoot, but if it's not going into a high-use system, it's probably fine.
Gentlemen (and women), begin your searching!

No kidding. It should be dead easy to get a proper name brand router (like SMC or D-Link) for about $35-$40USD. Probably less, if you find a good deal.
Go on. Violate port 135 on the hunk of black plastic sitting on a shelf somewhere in my house.

Mine's an unmentioned (but documented) character from the first Star Wars movie (or A New Hope for you later generation folks).
In the cantina scene, the camera pans across quite a few aliens who Lucas wrote stories for, but never mentioned.
I needed an alias for online stuff, and at the time I was reading up about some of these odd characters, and my real first name is Nick, so I adopted Dannik, short for Dannik Jerikko.
A really stale cookie for anyone who knows/guesses which character he was?

If, with the mod *off* you don't crash to desktop, the mod may be dependant on a certain version or other mods, like the two addon packs, Desert Siege and Island Thunder.
If you don't have the dependant mods, the downloaded mod may fail.
Best thing to do is check the tech support forum here, and follow the posting instructions there. Someone will probably be able to identify the cause.

I never found BF42 to be something I would dedicate much time to, but it was always a blast when I just felt like goofing off for a bit. I'd grab a couple of teammates and we'd go find ourselves a tank and go nuts for a few hours. A blast every time.
Unfortunately, in one of the later patches, they introduced a bug relating to refresh rates, that the "official" fixes never solved for me. I think they will have it resolved soon, but for now, my game disks are coasters.

Still, I picked it up on the day of release, and have greatly enjoyed playing it. It's not a serious game by any stretch, but hey, neither was Pac Man, and that did ok.

I would suggest that it may be cheaper and more effective to bypass a software firewall completely, and instead obtain an inexpensive broadband router.
These devices as a rule offer more security than any software firewall ever could, and are actually easier to configure. Much easier. I found it a bit funny, hearing about so many folks getting the MSBlast worm, knowing that my plain old vanilla wifi router was keeping me much more secure than ZoneAlarm ever could.
Still, if you go software for firewalling, ZoneAlarm is the defacto standard, but Tiny Personal Firewall is probably a better choice, as it's always best to go for the second most famous bit of security software... fewer people deliberately try to break it that way. That's why there are virtually no MacOS or Linux virii out there.

As for AV, Norton is the industry standard for a reason.
If you are looking for a budget solution, Grisoft offers a high quality and quite free AV system. It's no Norton, but it's it's still a high quality system.

If you use IE, go to Tools -> Internet Options -> Advanced and uncheck "Show Friendly HTTP Error Messages" in the "Browsing" section. That'll change the mostly useless error messages into something that actually means something.
It looks like @War is overloaded at the moment. Fileplanet's working fine, but I'm getting "server overloaded" messages from the download popups as well, at the moment.

Welcome to GR.net! We're pretty good about new players and getting valuable answers to sincere questions.

1.3 is part of Island Thunder.
1.4 was a bugfix/correction for a couple of oops'es that RSE/Ubi made with 1.3
Thus, if you have version 1.4 installed, the requirement for 1.3 and prior is already dealt with.
In a nutshell: 1.4 is the latest, best patch version. You got it, you're good to go.

According to this article, there is no Mac-compatible version of the *.rsb plugin.
*DamnR6 is the defacto hub of all things relating to Macs and Ghost Recon.
It seems that Mac users don't get a version of IGOR either. I wonder whether it was RSE or Aspyr who decided to keep Mac users out of modding?
