Interestingly enough, all three members maintain secondary careers "just in case", with the guitarist being a pilot and an honourary Canadian Air Force Leiutenant, the drummer an English professor (which ties into his almost exclusive lyric writing credits) and the frontman being an architect.

Basically, all you need is a good face shot and quality image editing software such as Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro, and a little skill. This will allow you to replace the faces in the default MP skins with your own custom work, but since there are not exactly a lot of different skins available in MP, you would probably have trouble getting enough faces in the game to match a group of people, since there's only one rifleman, demo expert, sniper and support skin per team, so although there are up to 16 skins available, it's only 4 per team. http://www.ventrilo.com I strongly recommend trying the SPEEX codecs included with TeamSpeak. They provide excellent voice quality with reasonable bandwidth usage. Ventrilo is possibly the best in terms of overall voice quality, but it is very bandwidth intensive.

I see the problem now. I don't think there is a game browser that is both Mac and PC compliant. I also am not familiar with how Game Ranger works. Thus, the best advice I can offer based on what I do know, is for your PC friend to try the All Seeing Eye game browser. This would allow them to obtain not only a good server listing, but also the IP address of the server (which Ubi.com doesn't do) which they could then pass along to you via whatever method is convenient. You could then just join via IP.

Mac and PC Ghost Recon are compatible. As long as all players have the same version (although Island Thunder hasn't been "officially" released for Mac) then it's no different connecting a Mac to a PC than it is for two PC's.

I don't use PSP nor do I skin, but I DO know that it's the same plugin for PSP and PS.

Damn! I just caught a major error in my step by step that even Phantom missed.. ... is incorrect. So, on your mother's computer, map the burner as //Ray-PC/{drive letter for your burner}

It's not your internet settings that need the firewall disabled from. It's the LAN connection proper. Start -> Settings -> Network Connections Find the connection that corresponds to the LAN, and disable that firewall. Otherwise, I'm out of ideas, other than crawling under the desks myself... and you're probably a bit out of my way.

Ensure the built in XP firewall is disabled. This may explain why you can only see "one way" across the network. The firewall will block LAN settings.
