This looks like just an edit of the fake Nokia as that hit the web last year,

See, the gun models aren't static 2d images. To implement a mod of this type, you would need hi-res 3d models of every gun in the game, along with the hands, shell brass, and all the animations that go along. Since the engine was not designed to do this, you would need to "hack in" the data, thus leading to rather large file sizes... other games get around this by building the game engine to accomodate it. GR doesn't have this luxury, so the modders have to resort to the brute force method, thus the horrible file sizes. I think a gigabyte of data just to allow first person weapon views

Perhaps the game disc is dirty? Slow loading would be one of the effects of a dirty DVD.

A domain is like owning a company on paper. Sure, it's registered to you, but it doesn't have substance. Domain pointers (aka DNS records) tie the domain name to a server location. When a domain is "pointed" at a particular server, anyone trying to reach your domain will be routed to the proper host server. So, a domain is useless unless DNS servers know where the domain is supposed to be. Thus, the pointers actually allow your domain to be resolvable.

That's Mr. Dannik to you, Dilligas.

For those with some IRC experience, or a "regular" client, like Mirc, here's how to access the chat channel without using the web client. Create a new server connection: Server Name: irc.mircx.com Port: 8080 Channel: #gr.netchat Now you should be able to access the channel (and irc server) with whatever client you prefer.

See, I had to use spyware scanners when I used IE. Now that I have quit using IE, the spyware scanners are almost useless. Alternate browsers render html/xml/css/xhtml better, and don't suffer the backdoors IE does. Mind you, I'm a professional geek.

This is one of the reasons I abandonned IE a while ago. Too easy to "modify" remotely. Friends don't let friends use MSIE.

*FNG*DRx's Serverside Map Pack 4.0 The above server sided pack (meaning that only the host needs to have them installed, even for multiplayer) contains 118 retextures, with at least one or two from every map in GR/DS/IT. It's non-overwriting, and has some great work.

In order to play the single player Desert Siege or Island Thunder campaigns, you must create a new "campaign" from the single player menu. Start a single player game, and when you select which campaign to play, select "new" and then you can pick DS or IT to begin. The three games have independant mission sets, and must be played separately, not as one long game.

Since you must be a Mac user, check out the support links at Asypr Media's site. They have mirrors for all of the Mac GR updates listed.

At the end of Max Payne, Max is led off by the NYPD, but the dialogue makes it reasonable to assume that Woden steps in intercede. Mona appears to be shot in an elevator in the Aesir building, but the elevator doors close, and when they open, Mona is neither in the elevator, nor is there the expected pool of blood. Many possibilities exist to explain this situation, but since we know Mona is in the sequel, it's safe to say that she didn't actually die. Also, as far as I recall, MP2 is set several years after the original, with Max having been pardoned prior, and returning to the police

AHHHH I COULD THROW GR AT THE WALL
Dannik replied to Aussie_Terry's topic in GR (PC) - General Discussion
May I recommend Tommyboy's GR Tools for server tracking? It won't lose your IP's, allows you to scan your fave servers before launching GR, and includes stat tracking and a few other nifty options as well. -
You've got the dimensions down, but you'll notice that my resize is 5.6K in size, while yours is 37K, despite being the same 480x100 pixels. Filesize can be more important than sheer dimensions when it comes to being 56k friendly.
-
Resized, definately. 480w x 100h is the forum max in these parts. Otherwise, good to go.

The "bah" was because the question was almost a pure "gimmie". A solid point to you for the quick answer.

Blind since birth, this bluesman lost his eyes to cancer when he was still an infant. That never stopped ~~~~ ~~~~~~ from becoming a skilled guitarist and in his more recent years, accomplished trumpet player. He recently opened his own self-named blues club in Toronto, Ontario, where he continues to play big band and hard rocking blues every week. Few know that the background vocals in his cover of ~~~~~ ~~ ~~~~~~ ~~~~~ ~~~~~ were provided by the Beatle who sang them on the original, on the track that featured Eric Clapton in the studio. Fewer still know that not only is he blin

Bah. Leslie Gore.

It's 264 megs, includes the expansion packs and the game editor, as well as some other updates to make it "current". Consider it a gift in lieu of a demo for Hidden & Dangerous 2.

I don't think there's a "zoom" per se, just a raised reticule/crosshair view available. The sniper weapons seem to just be more accurate at pixel hunting.

Downloaded it yesterday from Fileshack, and planning on installing tonight.

That's The George Baker Selection, but I'm confused... which of their songs was on the Pulp Fiction sountrack?

That's a big steamy point for Mr. XO.
