Forgive my ignornance.. How do you access this log??
Ike.log is in the main GR folder. You have to access the log suddenly after the CTD. Take care that also igor starts a log session.

You should create a new campaign.xml file to be placed inside the mission folder of your 12weeks folder. To make this you have to ways:
1) copy another campaign.xml file from another mod (for example MP1) and then change the names of the mission with the exact names of the files of 12weeks
2) make a new one from scratch using igor. You have to to open Igor, set the mod 12weeks as default mod in file/mods and then going to tools and select campaign file editor.
Take care that even if you can choose the specialist they will not be enabled missing in the scripts the unlock hero response.

As Tangokillah says the analyse of ike.og should be the best tool to identify reasons of CTD during mod development (and also after the release:( ). In this case I'm posting the ike for you:

Mate, you career change is what I'm looking for for myself. I'm really happy for you.
I can assure you that having a laptop it's very easy to decide to stay in the hotel and mod. Also my job takeme very often in the hotels and on those cases for me it's easier to play than when I'm at home

There are several possibilities to achieve this, for example add a script with invisibleActor ON at the start-up block for the friendly actor

True, the point is that I never play MP and so I'm not confident with this (in)famous shadow bugmaybe you should make the actor invincible too because of the shadow bug.. -

Only now I realized the question was about player platoon. My answer is ok only for AI platoon. Therefore I support what my mates say: do it through script at the startup with wehicle loadplatoon.
BTW do you want to post your script here?

Easiest way is to assign a plan at startup to the team who want to enter the vehicle. As plan just put "enter vehicle". In case of ground vehicle (like the truck) remember to check the driver box
