This to inform you that I've got the last version (almost definitive) of Op. Dark Star and the level is impressive. Of course I found some small bugs (my job is to find bugs) but be assured that this new campaign will be at the top of "must have" list. This time Blakarion surprised me at the huge level and I sicnerely hope you will agree with me. Stay tuned!

IIRC the test missions does use a DS map. Do you have DS installed and activated?

For sure it will be Co-op. But I do play on SP and I will beta-test only the SP so I can't promise that there will be no bugs on Co-op

I you have seen the huge step ahead regarding quality between Operation Snake Strike and Operation After Shock you can imagine which level Op Dark Star will be.

I had the opportunity to start the beta-testing. This mod really rocks, much more than in the pictures you, poor guys, can see. I played missions 1 and 11 and I can tell you that Stalker has the same talent of skinning also in scripting.

My understanding is that you may use the SOAF maps for yourself, providing you own the SOAF game. Since SOAF is distributed as copyright software, any content found on the CD cannot be distributed in your mod, including the maps. I quote it entirely. Thus it means that you cans script your missions on SOAF map and to advise the player that it has to copy the SOAF files into GR folder (at the download section there is a program to make it automatically) to be able to play it.

The modem you have is the typical 56k so the very bad connection shown by the small computers on the system tray (24kbps) is very clear affected by the poor qulity of the connection line. Are you using a long extension wire from your modem to your phone socket? have you tried it somewhere else?

I need to save a real file on my hard disk but I can't since the file is only in streaming format. Is there a program that does allow this to do? I use Realplayer to watch it but in the office I have broadband and I would like my wife to watch it too. I can't take my wife to the office

I would stay with the good old PC. I don't qnt to give you a model but in my opinion new laptops are all very good if they have these specifications: 1) Processor AMD Athlon XP 1700 or more (very easy to find it) 2) 512 MB RAM 3) Dedicated video card (I personally have a shared video card that work well but my next laptop will have dedicated video card) 4) HD 30-40GB 5) combo DVD - CDRW As you can this laptop is quite normal and would be easy to find some quite cheap. Tell me what was your choiche
