  1. OK, I've got my problem solved.

It appears that the Motorola Canopy Module has a built-in firewall. As I don't have any ability to login to the module then I can't change the firewall setup. So the service provider logged in from his office and setup a DMZ and now it all works for me.

Maybe others have a router setup issue too.

    Hope this helps someone.

  2. Hi All,

Yeah well I don't know about this Demo versus Retail argument. Because I've got the Retail version installed and running with the V1.02 patch and I still can't connect to any servers. Even the one that I saw last night at a 64 ping. Can't even get it to show me the server info.

I'm on XP Pro. I let GRAW:2 setup the windows firewall. I've got AVG running and I use spybot. My Gamespy account is not a paid for one only a freebie, but I didn't think I needed one to play online. I'm connected through a switch to a digital wireless service provider 1 meg up 1 meg down, using Motorola Subscriber 900 Canopy system.

So any ideas why I can't connect to these damn servers as well.

    Regards

  3. Well gurus and others, it is as the topic suggests. If there is a server who's IP address I have and I want to join that server. How to I tell GRAW:2 the details of that server and to hook up to it. I don't think it's rocket science but I can't work it out.

Also when I try to chech the details of servers that GRAW:2 finds I can't get any information on the server nor can I join that server.

I'm in Australia so the ping times on the Gamespy servers can be a bit high, the best I've had so far is 251. But still can't get into an online game. It's getting damn frustrating.

Please help a lowly GRAW:2 addict to get this sorted.

    Regards

    D.T.
