Thanks to all the hints on good mods.
I spent last night trying to play online. havent been able to but after getting info from Dark Ranger about uninstalling my nvidia 49.01 driver and installing the 29.?? (something) driver. It worked and got to play a few maps online. It was awesome.
One other question, how do i know which mods have to be activated to use any of the other mods?

! !!! I uninstalled my nvidia driver 41.09 and installed the 29.42 and have been playing GR online since. Thanks guys for all the help. You are the best!!!!!!!Cya on the killen fields

Do I uninstall the driver the same way i uninstall a program or app? Thru control panel//add-remove programs?

Which mods do you guys use most? Which are your favorites? I have only been able to play Saving Pilot Ryan thus far, and havent been able to get past the first map. hehehe.

Ok, I will definately check out that site. Ive heard of it before, but never tried it. Ive tried pcpitstop and tried a pc accelerator for a while. But thats about it.
Lemme know if ya find anything else.

I have a p4 1.8 ghz processer. Geforce2 mx 200/400. Should i be using the 41.09? Which driver would work best for me? Oh, I have windows XP. Thanks.

What kind of connection should i see? What should it be? Unfortunately, i am at work now so i cant post any specific numbers or configurations until i get home.
I have checked with my ISP and they are now "thinking about" doing the extra IP address. They told me today that they have had several requests for this and there will be a small monthly charge. (what a rip off). But that seems to be part of the problem, i guess. However, i am able to play CnC Generals and Mohaa online with no connection problems. hmmm.

Yes. I have only tried going thru ASE a time or two and it does same thing. Ive only used ASE a couple of times also. So hope im doing it right. lol. Im finding a server that i wanna join and double clicking it. Is that right? Neways, i know i sound like a n00b but im not..... well maybe i am.
. Any other suggestions i can try? I will try ase and gamespy tonight also to see if that makes any difference. -
No, I have not checked it and it has not asked me for it. I have had no problems getting into Ubi or ASE, choosing a server. Only after i join, it counts down from 5 to 1 for game time then goes back to GR mp screen. I will check it on Ubi tonight to see if that helps any.

Hey man, felt the pain wit ya. I had same thing here in Tennessee with EB. It was back ordered then said it may be in Saturday but no. It was not. So i went to Best Buy. They had it stock in the warehouse. Yoohoo. Awesome game. But having some probs playing MP, hopefully will get that worked out soon. Good luck on getting it.

I am having trouble getting to play online. I have gone thru Ubi.com and also tried ASE. I get on Ubi and choose a game, counts down 5 to 1 for entering game. Then it acts like it is going into the server. But it takes me back to the MP screen for GR. Says unable to connect to server for unknown reason. I have checked to make sure that im going into a server with only mods that i have activated or no mods period. My ping is a lil high but shouldnt be high enough not to join. My specs are:
P4
1.8 GHz processer
Windows XP
Vid card is Geforce2 Mx200/400 (i know it sux) lol.
GR1.4 (GR gold edition)
any advice?

Ive noticed that on some mods after installing them, the readme.txt file tells you which maps need to be activated. If there is no readme.txt file, is there any other way to tell which mods need to activated?
Also, how can you tell which mods are for MP only and SP only?
I dl HX4 last night and could only play the maps as a quick match or whatever. Is this on only for MP or am i missing something to play it as SP?
