I could use a little input...I have an hp with an AMD Anthlon cpu at 1 gig(200 mhz fsb)-socket a type. I would like to upgrade that to an AMD XP 2400(2 gig with 266 mhz fsb). The motherboard I have(VIA Apollo KL 133) supports fsb for 200/266 mhz. Is it really as simple as popping the old cpu out and putting the new one in? Also, I currently have 512 mb sdram / pc133 / 168 pin DIMMS(2 sticks of 256). I would love to put in two sticks of 512, but the dock that came with my hp says that the max is 512? Would two sticks of 512 sdram/pc133 damage my pc? Or does the hp doc say the limit is 512 be

just wondering...I played through the campaign and did not see any specialists unlocked.....but when I looked at the missions as a "quick missions"...I seen specialists...is there something wrong or am I just out of my mind?...by the way I looked at the multiplayer maps after I finished the campaign...my god are they beautiful!!!!! ...especailly the wilderness one and the fort one.......

I am working on mission 6....had to force myself to go to bed so I could go to work in the morning....I am speechless....this mod is just...what can you say?....great..wonderful...polished....I wish the entire Frostbite team could be compensated....can the those guys give a ball park idea on the # of hrs it took to do this?......all I have to say is....when can we expect the next one!!!!

I have GR version 1.3.5 and I ran Brothers in Arms fine, as well as 12 weeks ver 4.0....must have sabre teams 1.3 woi 2.1 black sun 3.0 idf adf navy seals 2.1 75th rangers I never updated to 1.4...and I run just about every major mod you can think of.....just my 2 cents.....

hey folks...need some tech expertise...I recently put a new 60 gig hard drive in my HP Pavlion Xt 933...I replaced the original with the exact make(Western Digital) and size...I then copied over my existing hard drive data...everything works fine...except...when I try to run defrag or scandisk it says that the drive is locked by a disk utility...nothing is running in the background except explorer.....do I have to reformat the disk?..if so..no biggie...just gonna kill 4.5 hrs to recopy my orginal drive data over...any help would be greatly appreciated...thanks!!...

welcome!!!!!......take a look through the kits for the demo guys, both standard and specialist....you will find some silienced weapons there.....be warned that these silienced weapons have reduced kill power, so go for head shots and be wary of engaging a group of enemies unless its needed.......

...just a thought that I had on the way to work....wouldn't it be cool if GR had the ability to equip the ghosts as in Raven Shield(select primary and secondary weapons, attachments, ammo type and other support items as well as camo/body armor) as well as being able to turn 1st person weapons view on/off and if Raven Shield had the control feature of GR(meaning click on map for your waypoints DURING the mission , ect) instead of the cumbersome planning phase/tools it currently has...I know..I know...thats what Rainbow Six is all about, but its a pain the ass....

here are some tips.... 1)-Take it slow. Learn to play the game slow. Rushing will only get you killed and you'll become frustrated and miss out on all that GR has to offer. 2)-Remember this is not an arcade type game. The weapons are based on, for the most part, real ballistics. Which means if an enemy sees you first, you are gonna die. 3)-Be sure that the soldiers you take on a mission are the right guys for the job, in terms of class,weaponry and completing all assigned objectives. In determing the number of soldiers to take, more is not always better. Ask yourself, "can I justify ta

GR is the only game that has ever made me literally jump out of my seat and all but knock the keyboard off the pull out tray it sits on....GR die?...nope...its like I tell people...when all the lights are off....and its just me and a fresh cup of coffee....its like you are there....its that good...by itself...but when you consider all of the quality mods out there...GR will be around for a very long time...

I run GR version 1.3.5.....I almost installed the patch to 1.4, but thank god did not...I have all of the major mods...campaigns, skins/weapons, you name it....the only mod I have trouble running is Taskforce Thresher Project....and that is a known issue with that mod....if it were me....I'd stay with 1.3.5....it has served me well....my fear was and still is ...update to 1.4 and all the older mods....either won't run at all or need patches for 1.4...IMHO.....

just a thought for GR2, I hope they add the ability to micro manage each squad member....I know I have run into many times where it would be nice to have the rest of the squad hold, while I advance...I have tried telling the squad to hold and then advance myself..but they follow...problem is that more often than not in combat...you don't want/need your fellow squad mates to mirror your action....

has anyone been able to fix the campaign from mission 10 on? I think I had seen that mission 13 does work, but the rest crash to desktop...just wondering...love the mod...

I run all setting on high...no shadows...no bullet holes...at 800x32 res......I run ms config and shutdown all the crap programs that load at start up...which gets my system resources to 99% free....GR runs fine...no choppiness or lag....I just got battlefield 1942...run with all settings on high...once in while I run into a little choppiness...not bad for my old rig....I dunno...more always seems good to me!!!!

What do Return to Castle Wolfenstein, Medal of Honor, Medal of Honor/Spearhead, Soldier of Fortune II, NOLF, NOLF2,Aliens vs Predator2, all of the commandos games,Iron Storm,Deadly Dozen,Sum of all Fears and all of the Rainbow Six games have in common?.....they all serve as dust collectors on my shelf.....that being said...alot of those games are awesome in their on right, for their respective genre,......my GR folders total almost 12 gig....on an average weekend(friday night through sunday)I log about 25 hrs of GR..and that does not count the hrs I log through the week..only one exception to
