Hello all!
I have a new Toshiba NB250 Netbook BIOS Ver. 1.00
Win XP SP3
Intel Atom N455 CPU
Realtek Audio - Driver Version: 5.10.0.5688
DirectX 9c (4.09.0000.0904)
Netbook has Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 3150 Driver Date:4/25/2010 Driver Version: 6.14.10.5260 384MB Video Mem.
1GB of System RAM
DX Diaganostic Tool says "an error occurred while setting your display to 640x480 mode with 16bit color... - Which is right because this adapter only allows for 800x600 and 1024x600
I have 3 other Netbooks in my home with different Display adapters, all of which have no problem running GR.
I loaded GR with DS & IT.
I get this when I try to Boot the Game...
IKE:

Just a thought...
Would it be possible to make a mod that allowes a squd member to re-spawn on the squad leader's position?
Thanks for listening...
Brett.
GR Will Not Start

Thanks for the speedy responses guys!
I'm a long term GR player and love this game!
I updated the BIOS to v1.60 - No change... wishful thinking.
OK 640x480 was the the problem. Thanks Rocky...
Windowed Mode... was the solution
I set video resolution to 920 x 516 I know it sounds wonky but... Here is the method to my madness.
on default, the windowed menu does not set up centered. It's easy to just hit "Alt" and grab the title bar, but...
to make this easy for anyone else using this netbook, at the set resolution on this 10" screen, the game window is in a great default position now.
And the game runs great!
I don't know if there is any chance for this screen to support 640x480 with updated drivers in the future or if it is the hardware itself that is the problem. But for now this is the only thing I have come across that this netbook needed a workaround for. Now I can add a 2GB mem. stick.
All responses were on the money here... thanks again...
Now if someone could write a mod or script for GR that would allow you to re-spawn next your squad leader....
