  1. Hey guys, I know this might be a sin, but I was in need of some help. I'm a gear guru, and personally I don't like black gear/boots. If there is anyone that knows how to reskin (I can only do weapons because its okay for them to look spray painted) and can make the gear and boots tan (easy way to do it is to make it the same color as the Marines' gear and boots) I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

  7. Someone needs to animate and incorporate this gun into this game now! Ive been waiting for an M14 and I do not want to wait for GRAW2. I think Brettzie could do amazing things with this, talk to him.
  8. Some more progress, but not quite tweaked how I want it yet. I need to adjust the alpha channel on the SPR suppressor, so it looks kinda weird. Feedback encouraged.

  10. I'm trying to model them somewhat like what SF operators would do in today's world and in the future. My experiences with camouflage is that it should be subtle differences and nothing drastic. I like the subtleness of the two colors, they are similar yet different.
  11. You bring up a good point about the 18C. I guess you'll just have to use your imagination and pretend its not an 18C. As far as the SCARs go, what's your opinion? As of now, its kept with the TFW paintjobs. I feel as if it fits the futuristic look of the possibility that the military could produce the weapons with synthetic camouflage pre-installed on the weapons. Thanks for your comments.

  13. actually, when you look closely on some parts of the guns, there are scratches and wear points. I didnt do anything extravagant like sandblasting (since it's not in iraq), but I did do wear-points that I remember from when I used to have a painted m4 (only an airsoft version, mind you, sorry no military experience, just a geek I guess). Since I have a month of summer vacation, I might update it a little and add more wear-and-tear and also use an updated skin for the MC. Also like I said earlier, Im going to make an ACU version with Brettzie's latest M4/M16/SPR/Mk23 masterpiece.
  14. A cardinal rule in my book to say the least. A) its not truly necessary since its usually hidden in a holster and B) lots of moving parts to screw up by gumming them up with too much paint.
  15. The sidearm isnt painted, its a model of the .45 called the "Desert Warrior". I know its a cardinal rule not to paint your sidearm, but this one was designed by Kimber for desert environments. No custom painting involved . The real thing: Trust me, I've done my research

  17. What is your in-game name? I'll be sure not to play in any servers you are in. This gun that you envision will solely ruin what this game is meant for. Have fun with it. The closest thing to a super glock (on the realistic side) is the one I put together. It has a 25 round magazine and can use a suppressor.

  20. You missed completely, man. I know how to switch, but in original GRAW I could tap B and switch to the grenade launcher. That is all I want back. I have not changed any configurations so I guess its just what they did with GRAW2 by default. Do not get me confused with a noob, I know what the controls are and what not. Thanks for your attempted help, though.
  21. With my Team, the CIA SAD, we mostly use indigenous weapons. When it comes to aggressive operations, we use the M468 with the underbarrel GL.
  22. Yes, but not as fast as the first GRAW where you simply pressed 'B' and the devastation ensued! In real life, it would be about as fast it would take to move your hand to operate the launcher. Just a note: its not a frag grenade, its a high explosive grenade most likely.
  23. Hey guys, I just wanted to put out here that I would like to start a team (clan if you want) of a few people that would be interested in a little seriousness combined with an interesting theme. I've always had interest in the mystery of the CIA and I've read books and done research about the cloak-and-dagger agency. I found out that the CIA has on-the-ground forces called SAD (Special Actividies Division) teams. These aren't your normal troops and I feel as if they are unique to be in the consideration of a GRAW 2 team. From the research I have collected, it seems as if SAD teams tend to use indiginous weapons (AK47's, RPK's, etc) and work in mysterious ways, and do not wear heavy duty body armor, helmets, or camo uniforms of any kind. Now since we are limited to what UBI has given us, this is what I think the uniform perameters could follow: A) No helmets what-so-ever. Ball caps are fine, no patrol caps. It would be even better if you can use the ball cap/shemag combo but its not necessary. B) Olive drab will be the color of the uniforms we use. C) Only AK47's and its variants will be used primarily in most missions to add variety and uniqueness to the team and also to keep with SAD's background. Exceptions will be made for snipers in that they can use anything provided by the United State's military (Barret, SR series, AS50) or the Dragonov. D) All automatic rifleman will wear full-ear cover communication headsets (to simulate the protection of the hearing from automatic, high velocity, high caliber SAWs). E) One minor note is that the SAD units will most likely not use facepaint, so if your character has some on, switch to a clean face. Race does not matter. Age limit: 18 OR OLDER! The most important aspect of this team is unity, teamwork, and seriousness--that stays on the battlefield. Communication is key so headsets are a must. We'll most likely arange certain roles (forward observer, support, sniper, medical duty) but weapons will be up to the operator (as long as they fall into the above perameters). Like I said earlier, I strive for serious players, but also those who have a sort of busy schedule like I do. I am in college now, soon to have a few weeks of summer break, then off to summer class. For the next few weeks I will be available on tuesday and thursday mornings 9am-1pm CST, but we will specify one I find the right crew.   25. I'm pretty sure mil-dot would do the trick. Ive used it and it works quite well. It's simple, durable, and effective.
