[Kit Change In Game For Realism In Single]

Hi everybody.

First of all, excuse me for my English, it’s not perfect (native Italian speaking)

I’m playing GR1 since the beginnings, although not in a continuous way.

Recently I’ve re-discovered it (Well, It’ has been my first video-game experience after all!)

I’ve never played on line, not even in lan, (lack of suitable PC and free time) but only in single player on my own.

I found that despite it’s age it is a very good simulator, (apart from graphic) even if compared with actual and analogous simulator, although it has some limitation in realism.

One of this is the fact that a soldier can not use more than two weapon.

It’ normal, especially for special force, carry support weapon like M9 or frags, in addition to M4 and M203 for example.

They are often used, for example when you suddenly have your rifle out of ammo, or when you have to go through space too small to use nothing else than a pistol, and so on….

So, this is my question: Is it possible to change an assigned kit with another one previously made (for example only M9 and frag) for the time necessary and then go back to the original kit again during the game?

I know that there is a specific command in the console (kit <name.kit>), but when I try to use it the game crash to desktop.

Is there a particular way to write it, or is it possible act in another way?

As I’ve said before, I’ll use this option ONLY for my single game on my own PC, not for any cheat (never played on line!).

Nevertheless, I will accept Militiaman’s suggestion: I’ll use Centcom weapons playing GR with Centcom mod activated.

I think He’s right. It’s the high degree of realism that made this game great!

Well, at lest it’s my first try to mod something in GR, and it works: I’m satisfied anyway!

Thanks a lot for your kindly answer, Daimaju.

I’ll try to follow your suggestions as soon as possible.

This will be my first try to make a personal mod, and naturally it will run only on my pc: I know this rule, and I totally agree whit it.

It’s thanks to the great community of modders if this wonderful game is still alive, so is a must for all of us give them the right respect!

[New reticles from CENTCOM?]

Hi, I’ve just finished to try the CENTCOM Mod: wonderful!

I’ve really enjoyed the new reticles for gun, machine guns etc.

Would be possible to realize a mod/patch to change GR, DS and IT old reticles with the new ones?

Thank a lot for that superb mod, guys: you are great!
