  1. JTF-2, that's how I do my custom mods US rifle, US Pistol Russian rifle, Russian Pistol. It also makes setting up kit restrictions easier. And makes kit selection more interesting: "Do I want the AK74 with Drum and a Tokarev, or an M4 and a MK23?" For snipers, if its a bolt action or other single shot like a .50bmg, a hi-cap pistol, subgun, or carbine are good secondaries. If the primary is semi-auto, just a hi-cap pistol, otherwise it could screw up balance. With Specialists you could exercise a little more flexibility to reflect their "special" status.   3. Something like that Actually I'd like to see expanded Kits. My biggest gripe is that I can't take my pistol when I have an underbarrel weapon like a GL or shotgun. Just about every picture I've seen of an SF soldier, they'll have their over/under and a pistol in a holster. And to address player balance issues, either lower the number of pistol mags, or make the enemies tougher. Ideally they'll get rid of kits, and allow for individual weapon load outs like UO/RS.   11. That looks pretty good. It might need to look a little darker/meaner. There's also an m4 collapsable stock version and a shorter barrelled version.
  12. SC, I've asked Knight's for some more info on the S96. I hope they'll get back to me. They seem to be the weapon. Personally I like the black version better I told you these f@#in Stoners were confusing!
  13. Uhh, I beg to differ. Stoner never made a 96. He did make the 63, 63a, and XM207 and 86 The Xm207 was adopted by the seals as an LMG. The Stoner 86 was intended for the military in the 80's as an updated 63, but never went into full scale production. Ares was suppossed to build it. KAC did make some components for the 63 series. The M96 is made by Robinson Arms and while based on the Stoner 63, is a new weapon. The Stoner and Robinson weapons are modular, in the sense that like the Steyr AUG, you can mix and match components to build carbines, rifles, bren type lmgs, and SAW type LMGs.

  19. Well, I think the obvious addon would be to swap the bipod for an M203 GL. Excellent work by the way. A non-sd version might be nice as well. Since Troy's JPGs were so awful, you may want to consider using pieces of other M14 synthetic stocks. Oh and this might be cool for a sniper class weapon
  20. Well, I would like to see a more flexible kit selection, but if they're going to stay with kits, give us more slots in them. I'm tired of having to sacrifice my pistol when I want an over/under GL. One slot should be dedicated to a knife. Slot 1 : Primary Slot 2: Secondary/GL/Demo/Anti-tank Slot 3: Pistol/Scanner/flashlight Slot 4: Knife I think GR2 should also allow us to interact more with the environment.   23. Its probably the texture used to create the weapon. UbiSoft used lower res textures so more people would be able to play. As expansion pacs came out for the original GR, they updated some of the weapons, that's why some look "sharper" than others. The only fix is to find a mod that has a better texture and use it. Earl's Standard Upgrade has alot of the original weapons, and there are plenty of other great mods out there for you to DL and play with. Your only other possible option is to open the texture file in photoshop and see if you can tweak it a little. I would refrain from doing
  24. Stalker, why not just get the mod out with the realistic gun files. Then if there is demand, later on put out a patch with the fake gun files and restrictions. It seems like you are putting too much work on yourself by doubling up the gun files. You've got the core of a great mod there. People are going to grab it no matter what.
