As the XM8 and XM25 are just the components of the XM29 it stands to reason as the XM8 & XM25 are improved the OICW will "evolve" out of those improvements like Zantar says.

Do you mean with the carrying handle, and no flattops, scopes etc.? Earl's only has flattops. Nishi has some M16s that you might like. If BajaBravo's Canadian Ops 2 comes out, that might have some too, although technically they're Diemaco C7s and C8s.

In case it hasn't been mentioned, I'd like unlimited uniform and character selection, similar to the R6 series. Either that, or an expanded list for the specialists. 12 is not enough. There are way too many good characters and skins available now, and it 's really frustrating to have to dump some to load others. I can only see more skins being created as more and more modders skill-up on GR. Depending on how skins are regulated, if they're regulated by terrain/map like they are now, then maybe we should have more terrain/map types, like snow and urban.

Soldier of Fortune 2 had the OICW and they tried to model those functions, but it was buggy. You couldn't reload grenades, so once you were done with those you wound up with a glorified sniper rifle. At least they tried to give you some idea of how the weapon would act. I hope they put the OICW in, but I also hope they'll put in the XM8 and XM25 systems too.

Actually an American, Robert Goddard perfected the rocket, the chinese invented them, but the Germans developed it further and then we took their developments. Don't forget that we almost adopted the Lugar in .45 before adopting the Colt .45 before WWI. Also keep in mind that once the Governement adopts a weapon system they can designate anyone to manufacture it. That's why FN is currently building M16s and why the Gov't is looking to have someone else build m249s. AND HK is making the SA80 for the Brits. I wonder if the UK is going to adopt the XM8 as well?
