  1. I'm going to dl the Tanatos maps tonight ...see if they are any good. Maybe Rocco can run them on the AFZ server so we can check them out. Get them here: Tanatos Clan
  2. Was checking future releases of PC games at gamestop.com. Pre-shippping is posted as 3/1/07. Let's see how many times this date changes. GR:AW 2 at Gamestop
  3. Roxio Easy Media Creator or Toast Titanium are my choices. I think they are both under $100.
  4. What's up sniper....I happen to be that MAC user that Rocco is referring to. Let's lay down a few of the groundworks. When it comes to PC users, most see MAC as a buggy machine with a buggier OS that mostly yuppies and graphics/video guys s use. (I happen to be a graphics video guy.) As far as the buggy machines/OS, those issues are years behind us. OSX has been solid since 10.1. I have had 6 macs in the last 5 years. My biggest issue is that one had a failed power supply after 3 years of use, and was covered under my extended warranty plan. No biggie. I have owned a G3 533 Imac DV, G
  5. Yup....or load it without restarting like COD & CS have.
  6. Try the patch, if that doesn't work...trash all graw files, uninstall & re-install it ... then patch to 1.3
  7. Gamers Revolt : Against Worthless Packaged Crap I like the game.........but I couldn't help myself
  8. That's where being stealthy takes on new meaning ...all you have to do is tag the zone...smoke grenades may come in handy. Like I said, we beat this gametype to death on the MAC side of [GR], but it was fun as hell....plus there was the OICW/GL....so the spamming issue couldn't be worse than that. You learn the enemy hiding spots, and the way to attack it/circumvent it.
  9. Is it? It looks kinda odd. Guess they may like that in mexico though.... or is the wrong texture applied? I think the Mexicans checker the towers containing the Montezuma's Revenge aqua.
  10. Maybe one of you modding geniuses, or someone at GRIN can hook it up here. Personally I like no respawn games. A bit more realistic a bit more intense. The problem is finding other player that are into it. I have played uncountable amounts of no spawn GR1 and Ravenshield.....some of the most heart pounding and fun gaming times I have had. The only thing I could see is that some of the maps in GRAW could promote camping if there is no spawns...and games would run until the end of the timer...frustrating early dyers and emptying the servers. Suggestion: A gametype that was popular(a
  11. that is pretty cool. i'll have to bookmark that one.
  12. No doubt. The custom maps that I have played are really well made. Lots of fun.
  13. I started to play the campaign again yesterday, and I have to say that I really enjoyed it. There are of course a few issues with it, but it was still lots of fun. I would really love to see this game polished up. Its on the verge of dying (multiplayer TvT), but an expansion/booster/Graw 2 add on may save the day.
  14. Is it just me, or is there is a sound missing when you fire a gl? The person firing it can hear it, but the other players can't.
  15. It got third person peak? Unfortunately yes. Some ppl complain about that at the official Vegas-forum. It got 3rd person peak which means that you can see everything around you even tho you're not peeking. And you can even aim at your target before you peak That's why I don't trust RSE right now to make a good sequel to GRAW when all they do is consoles games. However, I do hope I'm wrong Why oh why are games that are almost perfect not just improved. We can say it till we are blue in the face, and it keeps on happening. You would think that with all the hundreds and hundr
  16. In the 80's a product that billions enjoyed followed the hype. They believed that if like thier competition, they were to have a fresh new image that caterered to the young hip generation, they would stomp out the competion and take a strangle hold on thier industry while hoping no one would notice that it was a lame attempt with a lamer mascot possesing a horrendous aftertaste. That flop was known as "New Coke", and it F'n tanked. The uproar caused it to be abandoned and back to "Classic Coke" they went. End of lack of sleep induced demented rant.
  17. nevermind...iread further along the thread and found out it was not going to be 3rd person. Rant retracted. 8)
  18. I own the Game of the Year edition for mac and the gold pack for PC. Back a few years ago IT use to be downloadable on DAMN. I guess legal issues forced it to be taken down. I still have that fully functional mac version. Once you get that running you could download and play Frostbite as well. Really cool mod. If you have an intel mac...install Bootcamp and Windows and give GR:AW a try. If your looking for some more help with IT, let me know....we can try and figure something out.
  19. I would have bought them all and would still be playing everyday. Now after no GR2, and AW. I wont buy another Ubi product. Unless they really put out a good GR game that is exactly what we wanted without a bunch of problems. Correction...exactly how "you" would like it. That is the problem. Even the GR fans disagree on what makes it "the" game GRAW has the immersion and matchability. It has the SP story line campaign The maps are big and fully interactive/playable For me to make it "the game" it's pretty basic #1 More spawn zones then 2 for matching. #2 all maps that
  20. True that. RvS is/was a great game...now when you have something right, why change it? Just modify/improve/add to it. Why, there are literally hundreds of less than realistic so called tactical fps's would they ruin what us the fans so loved about our games? GR:AW is barely there, hopefully it is rectified in the next version/booster. Advice:Take GR1 & RvS....mix them in a pot=perfect fps game. I bought GR2 for PS. As a huge huge fan of the great contributions to fps games by Ubi (RvS/Gr1) i found GR2 to be a giant pile of dog ######. Single player was from a 3rd person view. Sme
  21. Same here in the southern Ohio Wal Mart. Lockdown (Letdown) also got the heave ho! Maybe when it gets closer to Thanksgiving they'll bring them back out since turkeys sell good around that time. gobble gobble
  22. Direct2Drive still has it at $30 Direct2Drive That's a damn shame, for a game that has so much potential. THe reality is that when people pay for something, they expect it to be worth it. There was massive anticipation for this game before its release because of the popularity of the Original. That needs to be understood...that's why people still bring up [GR]. This game was released over 7 months ago, and it is still buggy as hell. The anti-cheat causes multiplayer issues....people crash for using close range gl's, multiplayer lag is seriously frustrating, all these things contribute
  23. Try zooming in and peeking around a corner. (the Q key to lean left or E to lean right). Previoulsy you could do this and stafe 1 step in the same direction with no problem. With the new patch when take a step to the left or right while leening, you lose the leen for a half a second or so and then it automatically goes back to the leen. Anyone else notice this? And does it chap anyone elses ass like it does mine? And why in the hell would they change this with all the other problems the game had? Is everryone readied up? Who knows. On a positive note the maps load up so much faster n
  24. only one complaint here. Lean around a corner, then take one strafe step. the lean goes upright, then to the lean again. very frustrating... like i have to re-learn my technique all over again. it is very realistic to lean around a corner and side step while still leaning. can we fix it back to the way it was previously? pretty please??????
