  1. Greetings! Funny thing, but flashbang grenades was the official reason that Demo Dick was court-martial-ed by the Navy. It seems that he designed a proto-type and went outside the government to get it produced for his Seals Team. The corporate-type Admirals used it as an excuse to get rid of him.

Greetings! Actually, the parallels between EA and UBI are too close! Both games use directx9 and must have the graphics dumbed down on virtually all systems to get decent frame rates. Also, you will experience some jumpy play even on a great connection. A great connection in North America will not equal a great connection in many parts of Europe or Scandinavia. Whoever has the best connection will usually beat you to the puck and hit you with better checks.

Greetings! You should get more free time by participating in their surveys at EAsports.com.
  4. Greetings! Yes I'd like to see more skin! Um, I mean more skins of female ghosts...you know what I mean.
  5. Greetings! These are really great features for sure, but for you not to create this for MP is just criminal, since so many people are looking for new multiplayer missions!
  6. Greetings! I'm also sorry to see SOTO withdraw from this tourney. I know how hard it can be to schedule and train around peoples life responsibilities and unexpected circumstances. I hope you can join the next co-op tourney, it looks to be a real adrenaline rush!

Greetings! BTW have you ever saw a team more championship-like, than the New Jersey Devils?

Greetings! Yes, I play this game, however 2K4 is going to be out soon and I'm not sure how long EA will support MP games. Multiplayer games I've found are more about your connection speed than skills(sounds like Ravenshield). But let me know if you want some games.
  9. Greetings! After a couple of crashes we found that if the rubber boat never makes it ashore the game will run fine! By destroying the raft while it's coming in from the the sea, we avoided the crash as as well as being pinned down. Perhaps the vehicle has something to with it, I don't pretend to know, but that's my hunch.
  10. Greetings! Again, Spybot S&D doesn't run properly with Ad-Aware installed, in fact the maker is in litigation against Ad- Aware for theft. Ad-Aware allows many harmful programs to get through that Spybot blocks like that Trojan Horse it found on my system. BTW spyware is not illegal and many big businesses are using them including MSN, AOL, E-Bay and many others. Spybot S&D gives you the names of these plus those spywares that masquerade as Spyware Removal Programs!
  11. Greetings! East Coaster here! Since New York, New Jersey and Philadephia qualifies as outside the USA to most citizens in the Heartland of the country, I'd be available for a jamboree around here.
  12. Greetings! Go ahead and clear the registry, it's only used for repair purposes. A hacker program can glean info from your registry logs.
  13. Greetings! Spybot S&D is suing Ad-Aware and another fugazi for software theft. Also, Spybot is not 100% effective while having Ad-Aware installed according to the maker. Spybot was able to remove a Trojan Horse from my c-drive that both Ad-Aware and even Norton ignored because it disguised itself as a windows write-protected program! I used to think I had the solution with Ad-Aware until I found Spybot S&D.
  14. Greetings! Yes! That kind of think-it-through sort of mission is just the kind of challenge that makes the pulse race when you don't know what's coming next. Very few missions are like this, but there are a few that give some vague clues in the briefing but not enough intel about where to find the objectives. It's figuring out the mystery that makes it more fun!
  15. Greetings! While I don't pretend to have the technical competence to diagnose the numerous problems with UBI/RSE's use of the Unreal Engine, it doesn't take a genius to see the difference in performance between GR and RvS. And that since RvS is the later release, that these problems should have been avoided by using a system not only comparable to GR but one would think superior to it. While state of the art pc equipment changes every month, this game minimum reqs was supposed to run on much less powerful Pentium III processors and even has the nerve to mention 56k connection. It's been known among experienced players that whoever has the lowest ping on broadband almost always wins on RVS whereas GR has many good 56k players. Even the location of the servers gives an unfair advantage to those players who can achieve 40-60 pings, something that cannot be achieved in most cities or countries. I do know that there are many players of RVS that are satisfied because they have no previous exposure to R6 or GR! This is all they know so they are impressed! But to those very few who are in the GR community that say they run this game without any jumpy play, I'd like to know how?
  16. Greetings! Swift Intervention by Alpha/ Monkey is a treat for us GR adrenaline junkies! First let me say I have been playing both the non and cinematic versions of this new Stealth mission, even before it went public. I must say that it has been 100% playable from even the testing stages, however some of the changes made to bring to a finished product such as the non- cinematic version has made some very minor quirks come out, that are now being rectified with the updates. This is a Stealth mission with plenty of action! The map used is the Polling Center with IT's great AI. The objectives are assasinating a General, setting off a 20sec fuse bomb in the polls, and rescuing two hostages under guard. This mission allows for silent kills, but does subtract points from the scoring. What is particularly exciting is trying to figure the spotting distances and wether or not to engage. Also trying to rescue the hostages through the guards and roving patrols without killing anyone is a brain teaser, much like Jack57's stealth mission in Brother's in Arms. The cinematic shots of the demo blast are very satisfying. There is more time allowed to get away from the demo blast in the non-cinematic as there is a pause, and so I like the original better for that reason too. Perhaps that will be fixed to make it the same time limit. This mission can be played as a Stealth or as a rambo mow-down and it still works. Stealth gametype missions are one of the most exiting innovations in GR to date. If you haven't tried this one out with your teammates yet, your in for something very special and still rare!
  17. Greetings! With all due respect, the pros and cons of the Unreal Engine are ALL about the various performance problems that are universal to RvS. Also the mod-ability factor is a major concern. That's why people don't want GR2 to use Unreal. Because of that fact, GR is still out-selling RvS. And as a result of that, I believe that GR2 has been delayed in order to foster more Ghost Recon sales. I hope UBI/RSE takes the extra time to consider that the good press and excitement that was created by GR and R6, was cashed-in when RvS was released, and that they need to do much more on GR2.
  18. Greetings! I must agree with the statement that many bought RVS solely on the R6 and GR reputation. As someone who started out with R6 and Rogue Spear, I had purchased GR without trying the demo. As to using this Unreal Engine for GR2---if the performance problems are even remotely like RVS then I'm against it. RVS should have been, and could have been so much more! It's a huge disapointment, and very frustrating in MP especially. That said, I'm determined to find a way to make this work better, since I'm such a fan of the maps and music in this game. BTW--this is a very good thread!
  19. Greetings! We enjoyed the alligator stealth mission very much and are looking forward to seeing all the different missions, as were still on the early ones. We did however experience some difficulty with the prison map mission. A teammate and I were playing the forth mission where the bogus exchange for the Marines takes place, and we were winning the battle against the Ghosts when the game crashed to desktop. We realize that the prison map is a busy map, and have had some difficulties with HX4's prison map mission. But this seemed to be less characters and vehicles than that, so I'm not sure what the matter was. We were just two on fast cable/lan connections. BTW---tremendous creativity on these missions, thanks Jack57!
  20. Greetings! Can't say anything about the Aussie Army except they've been great allies and have always contributed. As far as the ashmatic condition goes-- in the US I know someone on active duty that is legally blind, and passed through the physical because of their acedemic scores! That same individual had a broken back and was medically ordered not to lift over 50lbs. prior to joining the service. Try it and see, you'll find out whether you can make it through the exam.
  21. Greetings! I've noticed that when using Frostbite on an original mission, the mission was altered on White Razor. This was concerning the random movements and location of the patrols and civilians running around. This was different every time the mission was restarted, the AI positioning and timing was changed. Although I haven't yet tried this with every mission, two missions are certainly altered. It really makes replaying the missions exciting! Has anyone else experienced this? Can anyone explain what in Frostbite causes this to occur?
  22. Greetings! I noticed that while I'm at work using the company's cable lan connection(yes I play at work), I'm unable to join IP's that are running the Kidbuster Anti-Cheat Tool. Given the fact that I'm not using cheats, can anyone tell me why I cannot join these rooms? Let me say that the server I use will not allow me to host, as it has an internal firewall.
  23. Greetings! I ran your mod in SP and it worked fine! However, I had nothing to be found in multiplayer. Is this right? I actually wanted to use this for MP games, is there something wrong here?
  24. Greetings! I like the fact that this weapon mod is on the cutting edge of real weapons modifications that could already be in use in SpecWar. Question ; will the accuracy be the same as the M16 or M4? If so this will this be under Rifleman or Support? Some have called for more accurate support weapons, will this be it?
