I thought about changing the actual reticule that we have in the game, but I can't seem to find it in either patch.bundle or quick.bundle. The other problem is that I also want to change what the scope looks like zoomed in (I hate those orange bars), but I can't find that texture either. Can someone please explain to me where they are in the textures directory? I'm also using the Gimp to view these files (using the dds plugin), but I can't seem to view the texture properly. All I see is the a gray checkerboard with an occasional dark spot here or there. I'm new to using the gimp for thi

You do not need to extract the entire bundle, just what you need (I have Papa's mod down to something like 10mb plus my own stuff rather than his 1.5gb simply by getting rid of excess files). As for figuring out what does what....well, it's a pain in the rear, but trial and error is all you can really do.

Doh! Knew I forgot something. Make sure you are using patch 1.30.

Download the mod from the link below: http://www.ghostaholic.com/datas/users/9629-localnew2.rar Install it like you would any other mod (skins, weapons, etc). Voila, 3rd person view. And I must say...great work! It really looks awesome in this view.

Rather than making my own thread about this issue, I figured I'd post it here. I've got the scope added to the SCAR-L and SCAR-H, and it works just fine in SP, but after I load a LAN [GR] Coop game the game crashes a few seconds after it loads and I'm in the main lobby. The message looks like this: Crash in application version: grpcrc1.30 data\lib\units\extensions\inventory.dsf(-1): cant set this to a value (type: <void>) SCRIPT STACK data\lib\units\extensions\inventory.dsf(0) data\lib\units\extensions\inventory.dsf(0) data\lib\managers\groupmanager.dsf(0) data\lib\u

Go into your GRAW directory and open up the context.xml file using Notepad or something like ConTEXT. From there look for the following line: <script base="data" exec="menu/menu" editor="false" language="mod"/> The part in bold, namely "mod," should be the name of the folder that's located in your local directory. Most people use "english" since it is the default. Also, make sure the mods are in the right folders in the mod folder (if that makes any sense).

I absolutely LOVE tossing (yes, tossed, not launched ) a grenade over a fence when you know there's someone there and BOOM! Two kills at once.

Indeed, it was good while it lasted. I'm sure a lot of folks share my sentiment that we hate to see you go out like this because some of some folks apparent lack of respect. You did a damn fine job on these models and I was hoping to see more from you (like the older stuff in your portfolio on your website, very nice work), but your decision to back down is understandable. Time to get 21 folks together for a full-auto M4 salute..... -
Good luck topping this anyone!

I just noticed this thread, and I've been working on a mod like this for the past day or two. It's still pretty low on features and such, but it's in the works -

Big companies is all that come to mind.....while things are getting more complex, companies are still trying to push a game out the door in the same amount of time that they used to without any appreciation for how hard it can be on the devs. That's my take on things, anyway. I could be way off. -
I have to compliment the map makers.

Weapons that the opposition uses in SP. That's what those files are for, I believe. -

I absolutely LOVE this thing. I just wish there was a way to turn off the light when you equip the SureFire on the gun. Sometimes things get a little TOO shiny. -
So anyone tried GRAW with an 8800 card now?

What he means to say is that the water tower has the texture it is supposed to. The water tower is supposed to have the checkerboard pattern. -
First off, who are you to tell people what to think? Just because they disagree with you doesn't mean they're wrong. Second, GRAW was supported very well for over 4 months, more than you can say about many other games out there these days. Words can't even describe how childish this makes you look..... Just like every other game coming out in the next year? Try the new Splinter Cell, or what and see what Crysis has in store. Games are making more use out of the hardware than ever before, and hardware is getting better by the day. See the dilemma? Personal preference if

Ugh..... 1) You know you could build a PC for around $1,200 or so that would run GRAW rather well, don't you? Most of you just need to upgrade your graphics cards, and that you can do for less than $300 to be able to run the game on high settings, about $150 for medium/low settings. 2) It may have been a beta in your mind (along with many others here), but beta means it's in the last stages before production and final release, regardless of bugs. By definition this game was a beta in any reality. 3) Taste is different for everyone. Think of the one positive thing about not being able to

8800 GTX ------------------------------ 1900 XTX 8800 GTX Looking at that, you wouldn't think any hardware could run GRAW at higher resolutions. Think what you will, but I have FRAPS running at all times when I play any game, and I stand by my statement. In a multiplayer match I never see a dip into the 30's (except some of the harder [GR] Coop maps). You also have to remember that these benchmarks are run on some of the most demanding parts of the game. Benchmarks are great, but rarely reflect real world performance. EDIT: Oh, and while looking at some G80 benchmar -
I just ordered a Medusa 5.1 ProGaming Edition last night, and it supposedly shipped today. Since this is the newer version of the Medusa 5.1, once i get it I can let you know how well it works th33f.

Yeah, it's still jaggy. It still looks jaggy at 1920x1200 (if you can even run it at that high a resolution). -

It's not that it can't use AA, it's that current hardware isn't good enough to run the type of AA that could be used with deferred lighting. I believe that's how it went.
