Nice desk, mine looks eerily similar to it (except the case is on the bottom right). I like the joystick too, one of the most comfortable ones I've ever used. For cable management, just try using some zip ties. They work great if you don't move your computer around much, and even if you do they're easy to cut and cheap to replace.

Welcome to the Dark Side of monitors..... FYI - Some games allow you to play at lower resolutions while keeping a normal aspect ration (in the case of your monitor, 16:10). I know GRAW allows this, and a few of the Unreal engine games, but at a 16:10 ratio the stretching really isn't that bad in any game I've tried lower resolutions at. Enjoy the new beast!

Back during my MechWarrior days I used a MS Sidewinder joystick for piloting. I still use it for flight sims and such, but not nearly as much as before. I also have a cheap gamepad I use for playing old NES and SNES ROMS (Super Mario World FTW!). For now all I use is a cheap keyboard and my super sexy Razer Copperhead mouse. I didn't think much of it at first, but it is so much more accurate than any second rater I've used. I love it. I have been using a Creative X-Fi sound card for over a year now, and I must say it's fantastic. You have to play with the settings for a bit to get t

You need to extract the files you want to alter with the bundler, then just save the files in the same hierarchy under the C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter\local\english folder. Or wherever you have GRAW installed.

[using guns from Graw2 in Graw1 ? ]
Nutlink replied to scar's topic in GR:AW 2 (PC) - General Discussion
Just need to know how to add a weapon in GRAW 1. The only thing I can think of that prevents this, however, is if the file format for the models changed in some way. -
The only thing you'll find (at least for now) is the original missions with replaced enemies and objectives. Look in the modding forum in the GRAW Mission Mods section.

April Fools? A little late though...

God Mode, yes, unlimited ammo, no. You can, however, give yourself a ton of rounds and a ton of magazines for each weapon though. Oh, and do yourself a favor and download the patch. It's in the GRAW section of the downloads link up top

Edit: Whoops....

I doubt you'll find much of that here. There are ways to mod it, but you have to know you're way around the .xml files that set the game parameters up. This community isn't exactly into that kind of gameplay, sorry. But your closest bet would be the OGN mod. It can be found at http://www.ghostaholic.com/page-id-1220.html

Mirror mirror on the wall........ I give him 3-5 weeks after release to jump over, 2 patches later to come back, and after that it's up in the air

Removing Sepia but not not the NVG effect..
Nutlink replied to EricJ's topic in GR:AW - General Mod Topics
patch.bundle/data/settings/skies.xml In there change either the color itself or just lower the alpha settings. I usually lower the alpha to about a third of what it's normally set at to leave with a decent sepia filter that isn't overpowering at all. -

Welcome to the wonderful world of widescreen gaming. Check out the widescreen gaming forum some time, it's very useful for seeing if a game supports widescreen, and if so how to activate it. http://www.widescreengamingforum.com/wiki/...title=Main_Page

I tried to do a LOT with modifying the G36 to make it usable, but nothing I tried worked to get it to have sights that lined up or mods added. Close, but no cigar.
-
Bout time you got rid of that old 6800GS you had! All you need to do is get a nice big widescreen monitor in place of your 19" to enjoy the full effect of that video card....unless you want to trade a couple of 7900GTXs for it? I'm a little envious to say the least.

graw1 pc & graw2 pc difference ?

I could have sworn they were just going to use a black marker and write a "2" on the cover of the unsold GRAW 1 boxes... -
Was the Beta "Actually a test?"
Nutlink replied to IamJAFO's topic in GR:AW 2 (PC) - General Discussion
If you are referring to the 2GB of RAM, that was a mistake. It was changed later on during the sign up to be 1GB, which it should have been all along. Other than that the requirements weren't really that high. The were basically the same as GRAW 1 . -
Yes. Hamachi creates a virtual LAN setting so all the PCs need to have it installed.

You can host a game online by yourself or skip Gamespy by using Hamachi. You can also lock the server you start with a password so you don't have to worry about others joining in

Personally I've noticed most games that are ported over from PC to console fair rather well rather than doing it the other way around. Doom 3, Half-Life 2, Ghost Recon, Rainbow Six, Call of Duty, Battlefield series, Soldier of Fortune, America's Army, Far Cry, Unreal series, Battletech series, Quake series all come to mind as PC games that ended up on the consoles and did rather well. One of my buddies ended up a Ghost Recon fan after playing the demo on his PS2. Ever since then he's been a fan of these kind of games ([GR], GRAW, R6 Raven Shield). For whatever reason it seems console pla

The point is is that they are SADS, which answers the initial question "Does GRAW have SADS?" The answer is yes, it does. And it's not hard to use. If you've ever looked at how to set up a GRAW server you'd see it's really not that complicated at all. -

For the first set..... 1. More than Vegas and enough to play a good game at almost any time of day. I can settle for that without a problem. 2. Not as quick as Lockdown, but the game was properly supported with additional content and patches for around 5 or 6 months...more than most games these days. 3. No, but then again the only games I've seen released in a good state were worked on for years, and even then they don't always work as intended (STALKER, Oblivion, and Neverwinter Nights 2 come to mind off the bat). 4. No game is ever fully fixed, but the game was definitely br -

It states that there is the traditional death match and several other multiplayer modes. I'm pretty sure you can count almost everything from GRAW 1 in. As for not being fun for the Ghosts? Well.....you'll just have to wait and see what it's like to be one -
An AI like that would be pretty damn hard to implement I think. I haven't seen any AI come even close to doing anything like that without suffering from idiocy with obstacles.
