MP Demo Feedback + Discussion
Nutlink replied to Cangaroo.TNT's topic in GR:AW 2 (PC) - General Discussion
With regards to the sniper situation, this would be fixed with 2 adjustments - 1) a damage model. If the sniper was winged he wouldn't be able to snipe very well anymore. 2) Accuracy adjustments. A sniper should do his best when either prone or crouched, he shouldn't be able to hit someone in the head from 140m away while standing straight up. As for walking? I think it's fine as it is. I like having to run between open spots and move cautiously in tight spots. -
Modding idea: already built into GRAW2
Nutlink replied to Papa6's topic in GR:AW 2 (PC) - General Discussion
Like I said, I'm pretty sure one could do this in GRAW 1 if one was so inclined. I'm not sure where I read this, nor if it is even true, but to use make a bundle mod you just use the bundler and name the file anything after patch.bundle. Put the bundle in the Bundle folder, and that's it. From what I understand the game reads first the quick.bundle, then reads each bundle afterwards in alphabetical order with the last one being the dominate one. So it would first read quick.bundle, which would be overridden where necessary by patch.bundle, which would be overridden where necessary by the b -
Modding idea: already built into GRAW2

What I would actually like (and I think this is possible in GRAW 1, but I'm not sure) is to be able to bundle each mod separately and just put it in with the quick.bundle file to have the mod load up at the start rather than mess with the english folders. To take it one step further, why not have a mod select screen like [GR] but when you select what mod to use it will automatically restart the game for you? -
Remember what happened last time you wanted to bring something from one game to the other?

How about we all combine the USA and Europe to take over Australia and use that as our new home with DVDs. Multilingual dev diaries, short work weeks, manditory vacations, general focus on personal life, $2.50 a gallon gas (which, FYI is around $3.15/gallon here in Colorado), big cars, big houses, big meals, big....I'll stop there. And on topic....the EB Games website seems to only have a DVD version of the game listed for preorder. http://www.ebgames.com/product.asp?product%5Fid=646867

Interesting O. T. read ...
Nutlink replied to McGhost's topic in The Video Gaming Industry Discussion
It's always been said that PC games will die every time a new console comes out. The only way I could see PC gaming die is if publishers/devs start releasing nothing but crap that nobody wants to play. -

You could overclock it, but if you don't know what you're doing it's a bad idea. -
A BSOD isn't necessarily caused by the game......
-
Not sure if this is intentional or not, but when a teammate places C4 on an ADAT and blows it with you near it and it kills you it counts as a suicide.
-
While a decent feature in Vegas, I don't think it would feel right in GRAW. Not to mention the whole 3rd person view, the many bugs involved with it, and the unreliability of not knowing what you can and cannot lean against.

Modding idea: already built into GRAW2
Nutlink replied to Papa6's topic in GR:AW 2 (PC) - General Discussion
It's no different than how GRAW 1 was except Coop ([GR] Coop) has been revamped. What I'm looking forward to is being able to create your own custom kits for each class per map. Be prepared for some pistol and SMG only maps from me. I might even try to recreate some RvS maps with this in mind -

Use it right. Single fire for distance and full auto when you put it close combat in the enemies chest. I was using the G18 paried with the m99 last night nutlink. I must say it was 50/50 50% kills with sniper (at 5 feet through tin walls judging by sound) and 50% for when they came around and i dropped them with the g15. Aim it... I guess I just used the G18 in GRAW 1 so much that I was used to using it in that style. It still doesn't feel comfortable to me though, I'd much rather have the M9 or Mk.45. -
how do you get a silenced m14 on TDM?
Nutlink replied to Phil4321's topic in GR:AW 2 (PC) - General Discussion
I don't mind the M14 as it is, but I would have preferred to see an alternate variant of the rifle that allowed the gun to be fired in full auto as well. Oh well, that's what modding is for -

I've been mentioned, I feel so special! Personally as long as I'm capable of modding variables in the game (ammo count, kits, classes, etc) and making custom maps, I'll be content with that. Anything more is just a bonus that'll let me continue playing the game several years down the road. There is one thing I would like to address though - the difference between multiplayer and SP mods. I should be able to connect to a server if my mod is only compatible with playing in SP. -

Ditto. Are you using the newest version of FRAPS?
-
Use FRAPS to check your FPS. It's a free program you can download that will give you your FPS in just about any video game while also allowing you to take screen shots and record up to 30 seconds of in-game video. And yes, when someones ping is that high up they are almost impossible to hit, but it also goes both ways meaning it's hard as hell for them to hit you. They do have the advantage in that they can get used to it on a regular basis though.
-
I wouldn't mind the system right now the way it is....if there was a penalty for being hit. Something like a gimp, inability to aim properly or bring up the sights, drop the sights when you get hit, that kind of thing. As it is you could take 2 or 3 7.62mm rounds in the chest and run away as if they just flew by you.

If all you want is the basics with speed K-Melon works great.

That was the intention mate, no offense intended

Dropping inappropriate language once in a while isn't a bad thing, but doing it constantly means the individual in question needs to expand their vocabulary a little bit. It's also a sign of lower intelligence. Dammit.

A single EVGA 7900GTX, never overclocked, willing to sell for $250 OBO. PM if interested.

Re: "extra Grenades, kit loadout a bit low ?"
Nutlink replied to Hockeystick's topic in GR:AW 2 (PC) - General Discussion
Nades are fine as they are IMO. It prevents the nade fests from GRAW1 and the GRAW2 beta. It might be feasible to put in another nade for the launcher to bring it to 3, but 2 works just as well
