  1. Overall very positive. The first time around I did a mix of assault and recon, and both modes worked out well with my squad mates. Enemy and team AI behaved rather well (MUCH better than GRAW 1, but not as good as a few other titles out there). I suppose the only thing I don't like is the triangle for the scope on the Rx4, but other than that awesome. Now to see if I can mod this a little...

  2. Server should have an option for TK'rs.

Like when they shoot a teammate they instantly DIE.

This might help stop the rediculous weapons' spraying all over the place too.

No bad! I have had teammates walk infont of me when im sniping and they get killed because of it. Its even happened to me when I have a rifle and not paying attention to my sides, team mates walk infront of me, and I accidently shoot them in the head. Its not my fault they are retarded.. =P

Look before you shoot :P I've yet to TK someone in GRAW 2 with bullets unless it was intentional (like firing back and a teammate who's trying to kill me). Grenades are a whole difference story

  3. people.... what.........the......heck ?

why do you guys have to tear everything apart like its nuclear physics and take it so personal like this video game is really really really real. its a feakin video game, your singling out one part of the game when theres an unlimted amount of other things in the game that aren't real.

for instance; you can shoot someone in the feet and they die, or the 50 cal wont go through a 2x4 at 80 yards in the bleeched mexican sun, or how some AI are psychic and some dont know when your right behind them, or the pathetic system of trying to simulate firing spread, or how when you ad a front grip it reduces accuracy magically.

That doesn't justify adding another thing that wouldn't be realistic in its implementation. Where would it stop? With laser guns or bunny hopping or a know-it-all super soldier?

fact is, having a medic is one of the more realistic and reasonable things to have in this game and people are all over it like a pack of wild dogs on a scrap of rotten meat.

Again, it depends on how it's implemented, and from what I see it's just the worry about it being implemented with the instant healing like BF2. If it was implemented properly, a term I use loosely, then you bet there would still be whining about it, just not as much as it would if it had the BF2 or Vegas or 360 style of medics and healing.

the 360 version already has it and i like it becuase it requires you to use tactics. How you ask ? because you select your team and everyone is a specialist. Do you sacrafice the ability to heal your men to have alicia diez as your marksman ? or Bo Jenkins as your Grenadier,.. or that new asian guy as your heavy vehicle demoliton ? or take an extra rifleman to keep all around grunt status like the ever so famous Jose "joe" Ramierez ? .... its all tactics.

Every game has tactics and strategy. UT2004 has tactics and strategy. Quake has tactics and strategy. Doom has tactics and strategy. Being able to jump out and kill someone after they put a round and your head just because someone touched you with a shock paddle doesn't mean it's a good implementation.

I played the crap out of the single player for 360, beat it on all difficulties several times through and I must admit it was intense and a blast. I traded it in. got credit for it while it was still worth something and I'm going to use it twoards the PC version... I can't wait.

Most people want a game that will last for at least a year rather than something to keep them busy until the next big thing hits, at least in this niche of the gaming population. The fact that you got rid of the game merely strengthens the argument that there was nothing of substance to keep it from going stale, at least on the SP side, medic or otherwise.

the rest of you, lighten up. its a game, not your life.

It may be a game, but it's a game that many long time fans feel some ownership to. They made the series as successful as it is, and when something drastic is introduced it always divides the community, at least for a little while. It would be like if they turned South Park into the next Teletubbies. Some would like it, but old time fans would hate it. It may be neither good nor bad, but it brings in a new crowd while dividing the old.

  4. This is basically a rehash of this thread.

dammit read what i said at first post!!!! :stupid:

I did read what you first said, but that doesn't deny the fact that this thread is almost exactly the same as that one. The discussion of both threads is mostly about how a medic should be implemented, and I haven't seen anything different. I'm surprised this thread wasn't merged with the other one already. :wall:

  5. Single shot+burst fire? I believe GRAW had those fire modes for the mp5 and the mrc. How is that new? Sorry in advance if I misunderstood your statement.

Fire modes are pre-made, and each weapon is given a number for it's fire modes.

    1 - Semi

    2 - Semi+Auto

    3 - Semi+Burst+Auto

So the M9, M-99, M14, etc etc have a fire mode of 1, while the M8, Rx4, SCARs, M416 etc etc have a fire mode of 2, and the M8 Compact and MP5s have a fire mode of 3.

  6. Widescreen Gaming Forum

Widescreens are just like any other monitor except bigger. And better. And sexier.

I highly recommend getting a WS. Personally I will never go back to the "other" standards. Right now most PC monitors that are widescreen are at a 16:10 aspect ratio (most HDTVs are 16:9). Between a 19", 20.1" and a 22" I would recommend a 20.1" screen because the difference between a 19" and 20.1" in size is pretty big and a 22" is just so expensive. Also, just because a game does not support widescreen does not mean you will not be able to play it, it just means that sometimes the screen will be a little stretched out. Visit the link above if you want to know what games support widescreen, how to enable it if you can't in-game, and reviews on some monitors.

Once you go wide, you'll never go back.

  7. Right now I use a 74GB Raptor as my OS and random application drive, while I use a 320GB Seagate as my game install drive. While the Raptor boots up quicker, I don't think they are worth the money unless everything else you have is really high end and you have more money to burn. I honestly wish I never bought both of my Raptors (had them in RAID, but it wasn't very stable, so I use one in my PC and gave the other to my brother).

Overall, I'd say you're better off going with a different drive for the money.
