  2. How much time did you give it Stormin? I have a much better system than you, and it seemed like the install froze on me twice, but if you just let it sit it should be ok.
  3. Honestly there is no way to tell until the game or a demo is released.
  4. It's not that they can't, it's that they are given a limited time to do things and have to give everything a priority. The priority of character customization isn't very high up there. I have to admit that even just being able to select my camo (especially in MP) would be VERY nice though.
  5. Like you seem to have found, that is easily changed with a little .xml editing.
  6. You can't try every weapon, but start a LAN game of Assault vs Recon and start on the Recon team.
  7. It's a game of soldier vs soldier. Personally I like that better than the soldier vs stereotypical terrorist (Rainbow Six series), or soldier vs super soldier (FEAR). I'm willing to overlook some things in that regard.
  8. Overall very positive. The first time around I did a mix of assault and recon, and both modes worked out well with my squad mates. Enemy and team AI behaved rather well (MUCH better than GRAW 1, but not as good as a few other titles out there). I suppose the only thing I don't like is the triangle for the scope on the Rx4, but other than that awesome. Now to see if I can mod this a little...
  9. After installing it, I'll test out a SP mission first, then play some coop, then dive straight into the editor and work on some coop maps that I've had running in my head the last few months.
  10. In an [GR] Coop map you can add friendly AI, however you do not have any control over them at all.
  11. No bad! I have had teammates walk infont of me when im sniping and they get killed because of it. Its even happened to me when I have a rifle and not paying attention to my sides, team mates walk infront of me, and I accidently shoot them in the head. Its not my fault they are retarded.. =P Look before you shoot I've yet to TK someone in GRAW 2 with bullets unless it was intentional (like firing back and a teammate who's trying to kill me).   13. That doesn't justify adding another thing that wouldn't be realistic in its implementation. Where would it stop? With laser guns or bunny hopping or a know-it-all super soldier? Again, it depends on how it's implemented, and from what I see it's just the worry about it being implemented with the instant healing like BF2. If it was implemented properly, a term I use loosely, then you bet there would still be whining about it, just not as much as it would if it had the BF2 or Vegas or 360 style of medics and healing.   14. dammit read what i said at first post!!!! I did read what you first said, but that doesn't deny the fact that this thread is almost exactly the same as that one. The discussion of both threads is mostly about how a medic should be implemented, and I haven't seen anything different. I'm surprised this thread wasn't merged with the other one already.

  16. File for an RMA anyway and shoot an email off to their RMA support. I did just that for a stick of RAM that went bad after 3 or 4 days, sent them back nothing but the RAM, and they sent me a replacement. All I paid for was the shipping there. Newegg is second to none when it comes to customer service.
  17. Exactly. I don't think it'd be hard to implement, and the values should be easily adjusted (number of pellets per shot, damage per pellet, and that's it since the spread and distance options are already there).
  18. Meh, I was just going by memory, haven't actually looked at the files in months for GRAW and only browsed the demo files. It would be nice if they added a 6th, multishot or something so we could properly put in a shotgun.
  19. Fire modes are pre-made, and each weapon is given a number for it's fire modes. 1 - Semi 2 - Semi+Auto 3 - Semi+Burst+Auto So the M9, M-99, M14, etc etc have a fire mode of 1, while the M8, Rx4, SCARs, M416 etc etc have a fire mode of 2, and the M8 Compact and MP5s have a fire mode of 3.

  21. Shut it off when not in use is about all I can think of. How long did you have the monitor for? I see it's a BenQ, but what model? Some of us love to hear about other peoples purchases on technology, so be sure to let us know when you get a new monitor and what model it is

  23. The sound setting resetting itself is a bug that will be fixed by release. Also, the soft sound issues is supposedly going to be addressed as well.
  24. Widescreen Gaming Forum Widescreens are just like any other monitor except bigger. And better. And sexier. I highly recommend getting a WS. Personally I will never go back to the "other" standards. Right now most PC monitors that are widescreen are at a 16:10 aspect ratio (most HDTVs are 16:9). Between a 19", 20.1" and a 22" I would recommend a 20.1" screen because the difference between a 19" and 20.1" in size is pretty big and a 22" is just so expensive.   25. Right now I use a 74GB Raptor as my OS and random application drive, while I use a 320GB Seagate as my game install drive. While the Raptor boots up quicker, I don't think they are worth the money unless everything else you have is really high end and you have more money to burn. I honestly wish I never bought both of my Raptors (had them in RAID, but it wasn't very stable, so I use one in my PC and gave the other to my brother). Overall, I'd say you're better off going with a different drive for the money.
