I was playing some coop with Sleepdoc tonight and could hear every little foot step within easily 15-20m with my Medusa 5.1 headset. Granted it costs about $100 more than that AudioFX one, but the money is well spent when you have a good sound card (and use the headset as your primary rather than your speakers).

Only 1 kit has both a scope and grenade launcher, and that's the M8. I honestly don't see many of those around. I like the kits though, helps bring some balance into play rather than the SCAR-L/Scope/GL, MP5SD/Scope and hand grenades all the time.

Can a gun be taken out of MP on the Server side?
Nutlink replied to Bottobot's topic in GR:AW 2 (PC) - General Discussion
Nemons Bundle Extractor in the downloads section. But that was for maps only and the game didn't check maps properly in GRAW 1 (buildings could be removed/moved/rotated, whatever) but the main bundle is checked. -
anyone have a list of Multiplayer Weapons ?
Nutlink replied to sumguyhavinfun's topic in GR:AW 2 (PC) - General Discussion
NOTE: These are only for TDM modes. Cooperative and Recon vs Assault modes have some changes done to some of the kits (such as the RPG in Demo kit 13 for Cooperative). Demolitions: Kit 1 Rx4/GL (4 mags) G36C (3 mags) Kit 2 Rx4/GL (5 mags) MP5A4 (4 mags) Kit 3 SCAR-L/GL (5 mags) MP5SD (4 mags) Kit 4 SCAR-L/GL (4 mags) MP5A4/Scope (4 mags) Kit 5 SCAR-H/GL (4 mags) Glock 18 (4 mags) Kit 6 SCAR-H/GL (5 mags) Mk 45 (6 mags) Kit 7 M416/GL (5 mags) G36C (3 mags) Kit 8 M416/GL (5 mags) MP5A4 (4 mags) Kit 9 M8/GL (6 mags) MP5SD (5 mags) Kit 10 M8/Sc -
Do you think you would still think this way if the M32 was left in in the multiplayer?

Nutlink replied to Bottobot's topic in GR:AW 2 (PC) - General Discussion
That might be read at server side.....in GRAW 1 while testing out a map I found that if the host has the same map (mymap.bundle for example) but the map was scripted differently, then the players would use the server side script rather than the one in the bundle they have. Maybe that's how the kits are read too. -
Cow launchers FTW! Maybe a holy hand grenade? How about banana bombs or cattle prod? For close up duty would could make use of the priceless ming vase or for artillery a sheep launcher? Wait, wrong game here, oops!

The kits are just like [GR] (which I don't recall many complaining about back then), and the medic feature was only on the 360 as was stated by Bo months before the games release. I have to admit that I'm still annoyed that the editor wasn't available on release.

is there a Ghillie Suit in GRAW 2?
Nutlink replied to COL. KNIGHT's topic in GR:AW 2 (PC) - General Discussion
Yeah but some people might be a little confused or, like me, are just lazy -
Those of us arguing against the M99 and GL aren't trying to homogenize the weapons either, we just hate seeing the same weapons over and over, making things like the M14 virtually unseen and useless. I personally still think the M99 should always be a one hit kill, but as it stands it is THE sniper weapon to use without question. Although a good damage model with things such as limping, loose aim, inability to run, etc etc would probably make this a pointless argument as you stated before. Chances of adding in a wound model is low (considering we've been asking for it since GRAW) while adju

You should put the mod up for download -
fixed our little anti aliasing problem
Nutlink replied to sgt.hoot's topic in GR:AW 2 (PC) - General Discussion
Debunked, sorry but it doesn't work that easily. No AA applied in the control panel 4xAA applied in the control panel Jaggies are still there at the same level on the wires on the right and the building. Besides, as it's been stated before, this is an issue with deferred lighting. -
What Graphics Card Do You Recommend?
Nutlink replied to TheVipersFang's topic in Computer Discussions
An 8800GTS 320MB is a hell of a card, I highly recommend it. If you don't want to spend that much, there are other great cards out there too. 8800GTS 320MB for $280 1950XT 256MB for $165 It's a tough choice, but if you can afford it I suggest a 8800GTS with 640MB, otherwise if you want to be on the slightly cheaper side the 1950XT is an excellent choice. BTW, don't let the 256MB of RAM fool you, it'll beat out that 1650 Pro every time and almost always beat the 1950GT. If you play at resolutions higher than 1280x1024, then yeah, 512MB or more of card memory is best, but if you p -
The only thing I don't like is having to use 3DS Max to create a map. I really wish there was support for something like GMax or Blender or something free. Even Maya wouldn't be so bad if the PLE version was supported. I have a copy of Max 7, but really don't want to upgrade it since I'm not in college anymore and can't justify that much money.

I hate to use this as an example, but if a strictly MP based game like BF2 has this option, why can't we? The uneven playing field argument is null in my opinion. I like to play the game at high settings as well (and have the same card as you Koroush) but those with low cards that turn off the grass have an advantage over visual quality, and while I have that same option, I didn't pay a weeks pay on a video card to turn the settings down.

And unfortunately it isn't used in this capacity. Honestly I see no reason to take an M14 or MSG90 over a M99. Sure, they may have 20 round mags and be semi automatic, but the M99 is way better overall. I use it once in a while (same with the GL) but I still prefer rifles like the M416 or SCAR Light. It's a shame coop is in shambles at the moment or I wouldn't even care how these weapons perform in TDM to be honest though.

Bad glitching on Act II, can't see
Nutlink replied to HighGround's topic in GR:AW 2 (PC) - General Discussion
Not necessarily, your card can still overheat even with an aftermarket cooler. Not to mention the fact that the 7900GTX cards were extremely problematic on release (and even after the supposed "fix" in future revisions, still suffered a lot of issues). It's most likely a graphics driver bug though. -
Sniper vs. Grenade Launcher
Nutlink replied to PersianImmortal's topic in GR:AW 2 (PC) - General Discussion
Many would beg to differ. When using a rifle the bullets spread when moving. Not so with the GL. When using a rifle you have to take the time to aim down your sights to hit someone. Not so with the GL. Bullets are direct hit weapons. Grenades can kill if they hit anywhere near an opponent. Give them a minimum arming distance and it'll be fine, but otherwise the only thing holding them in check is that you only get 2 with each kit, and even that doesn't stop a lot of people from relying on them almost exclusively. -
There are several reasons for this. One is that the new sniper rifles feel a little more balanced in place with the current weapons. Second is that in GRAW 1 all the weapons were rather accurate on full auto, therefore making it easier to counter a sniper and not as big of a problem (not the case in GRAW 2). Third is that the maps in GRAW 2 have much, MUCH more open areas that make sniping viable unlike GRAW 1 where nine times out of ten you were better off with a SCAR and red dot. Basically the M99 and GL play more like GRAW 1 while everything else was changed, so you somewhat answered

Hmmm.......might end up seeing a "TAG! You're it!" gametype eventually....

Sniper vs. Grenade Launcher
Nutlink replied to PersianImmortal's topic in GR:AW 2 (PC) - General Discussion
This is how it was in GRAW 1, and yes, eventually the childish players diminished. There were still a few last I played a few months ago, but they weren't nearly as common. I imagine that once the map editor is released there will be plenty of maps that have no M-99 or EGLMs. Of course there will be the maps that have nothing but those weapons too, but at least the weapon selection is dependent on the map. -
[wish it had] Punkbuster
Nutlink replied to Oap JTRipper's topic in GR:AW 2 (PC) - General Discussion
Either way, if a game like Rainbow Six Vegas or, even worse, Lockdown is given PB, why isn't GRAW 2? -
A little late to the party (I'm out of town right now, have been for almost 2 weeks, but going home Wednesday, !), but I can recommend a few things. The first would be Spyware Terminator. Another would be AVG Anti-Spyware. If you are willing to spend a little money, then Spy Sweeper is a good option. Also, are you using the newest install of AdAware? Try uninstalling it, downloading the newest version, install that, update the program, and try it again. I know there are other free ones out there, but I cannot remember any names anymore.

You can only create new models, you cannot edit existing ones.

If you mean just SLI, then I'm sure there are plenty out there doing just that. If you mean SLI RAM (OCZ SLI RAM for example) I'm sure there's someone doing that as well, however SLI RAM is RAM that nVidia tested with SLI setups and approved. It's nothing more than a gimmick. At least that's how it has been explained to me.
