TEST01 London with 1.05 patch spotted tonight
Cangaroo.TNT replied to ROCO*AFZ*'s topic in GR:AW 2 (PC) - General Discussion
One last observation (for the time being): 19,000 views, and this thread has been at the top of this forum for 2 months and not a ######ING WORD from UBI on the GR2 official site about the patch!?!? IT'S MADDENING! -

I am not taking a pot shot at you. My barbs are aimed higher up the food chain. As you know from the logs, I check this forum at regular intervals every day to get the latest information because I trust the information you provide (being that the official game site is barren of PC related news). I think UBI (and maybe Grin, but I won't make that leap) are abusing the trust that people have in YOU, as most people here don't trust UBI. THAT is my beef. If whoever is passing the information to you isn't 100% sure, or is full of ######, we'd be better off if they had said nothing at all. If you were a crazy person, you could be making all of this up and having a good laugh at our expense. But I assume you are not crazy, and you are not making this up, but it's as though someone (again, not you) is getting a good laugh at all of this, and that ###### ME OFF. -
Guessing game, or not?

Guessing game, or not?
Cangaroo.TNT replied to GRIN_Wolfsong's topic in GR:AW 2 (PC) - General Discussion
That's what I mean by "playable terrain." The maps are obviously bigger than the area one can actually traverse. -

Without cheating (by checking) I'd say in the neighborhood of 450M of playable terrain. Some maps with natural obstructions in the middle (I think The Cut is one) can be significantly larger, as the maximum line of sight is short. I wonder if there is a way to check the actionable area, that is, the area in which you can engage & be engaged. -

More and more people are getting disappointed. Who needs to put up a public placeholder a week or more in advance? It's even in it's own category "Coming Soon." What happens when it's released? Does it get moved into "Official Patches" category? If so, then why the placeholder at all, when someone will just have to make a new entry? Someone is feeding BS information to this website, and that BS information is being passed to us, the fans. We've heard for far too long that the patch will be released "soon." I don't think the people here need an eduction on the meaning of a "placeholder." I think other people do. I think many people fail to realize that a lot of us actually are excited and looking forward to the patch. But the false alarms have become tiresome. For Christ's sake, we're excited about a patch, and we don't have the foggiest idea as to its content. -
Great Idea MAPS for Snipers ? Sniper Maps
Cangaroo.TNT replied to stev0's topic in GR:AW 2 (PC) - General Discussion
You can create a mod that increases the draw distance. I believe some people have done so. But then you have the problem of distributing the mod, and then only the top-end computers will be able to run it. I remember frequently getting sniped from 1,500 meters in BHD. I was an easy target for those 20 point bonuses. -

While that's all fine & dandy, just click this link and read the comment made by steiger: http://www.ghostrecon.net/files2/index.php...view&id=789 Regardless of when the patch is released this whole process has been, as he so eloquently states, "a sick joke." -

GRAW 2 draw distance is limited to 150 meters. No point having a map bigger than that. -
We can't even get a patch

What a novel idea! They had an official announcement regarding the coop collection before it was released! On the product website no less! -
Best campaign coop map?
Cangaroo.TNT replied to ARUJackal's topic in GR:AW 2 (PC) - General Discussion
I was going to say "anything Splinter Cell Chaos Theory," but upon further reflection, I've decided that the best "campaign coop" I've ever witnessed is the concerted effort of official sources to use unofficial outlets to repeatedly and over an extended period of time dupe a group of decent people into believing in the imminent release of a patch. It is really quite masterful & beautiful to observe. Everyone believes there is a patch (even though some don't believe it will ever be released) yet there has never been an affermative, official statement as to it's existence, nor even as to it's contents. If I could fraps it and put it on youtube it would look something like this: -> -> -> -> -> (UBI -> Unnofficial Outlets -> Consumer -> Consumer -> Consumer -> UBI) Very stealthy and ghost-like indeed. I know it's not the "campaign coop" you meant, but it is a "coop campaign" nonetheless. Disclaimer: Even if the patch is relased in the next 30 seconds does not make the preceeding statements untrue. -

Well, after 3 days I don't know what the point of that was Here we are a week after the "Placeholder" was added to the download section (I know it hasn't been a full week yet, but the patch isn't being released over the weekend). This is a joke. Not as in "ha ha" or a prank, but rather as in "pathetic." -

Cangaroo.TNT replied to Floyd's topic in GR:AW 2 (PC) - General Discussion
I wouldn't say moved on... Check around for Wolfsongs mod. (aka Grin Wolfsong...) I think i saw it has 106 weapon's kits ! And new classes.True, but he did that on his own, not for Grin/Ubi. It's not official content. -

No, you're wrong. They just finished pressing the cuneiform and now they're just baking the clay tablets. -
Man, I hate dredging up old topics, but does anyone know what happened to this? Did it get dropped after 2 weeks like our support? (Sorry, couldn't resist a cheap shot! )

Disable annoying "sir, talk to me sir"
Cangaroo.TNT replied to Anarchi's topic in GR:AW 2 (PC) - General Discussion
All of those are 360 features/contents part of the original design concept. None are PC specific and still you post that you like the 360 version... Yeah, I think somethin's fishy with this guy. -
I didn't say that. Yeah, that kinda ###### me off, because when I quoted Wolfsong's post, I intentionally removed his name from the quote because I knew someone would not read all the posts and end up attributing that number to him. And while most people woundn't care because mis-quotes usually don't matter, it does matter to someone that is a representative or goodwill ambassador for a company.
