GRAW2: Anti Cheat is needed ASAP
Cangaroo.TNT replied to WD[13th]B071LD3's topic in GR:AW 2 (PC) - General Discussion
^ Last night he added the speed hack to his GL hack. It was on an official European RvA server. -
Mission 10: The Last Stand
Cangaroo.TNT replied to mwgfghost's topic in GR:AW 2 (PC) - General Discussion
^ I never said it didn't, so don't imply I did. I only stated my experience. As for whether or not it's fair, that is a matter of opinion. We just disagree. No big deal, really. -
Mission 10: The Last Stand
Cangaroo.TNT replied to mwgfghost's topic in GR:AW 2 (PC) - General Discussion
I can't say that happened to me, I could always just make out the sniper or machine gun in the distance and get a shot off before he saw me.Same for me, Rocky. I simply do not understand what all the bitching and moaning is about. Yes, the bridge is hard, but not impossible, and there is ample cover as you move across the bridge. I, too, was never engaged by an NPC that was beyond my view. And, I played it on hardcore the first time through. -
A few small points: 1. The intent of this thread was to consider a players score for a single map, not their cumulative score. If we're going to consider every possible scenario, someone could hypothesize that a player went 25:0 on the first round, and 0:10 on the next because he was AFK. 2. Here I have to disagree. I personally get more satisfaction from a high KDR than a high score per se. That is why I like RvA and low/no respawn. (I realize this is a disagreement of opinions; there is no right and wrong). People here have been very vocal about realism, tactics, NORG, and all tha

I think what you're looking for would involve little or no AI, but instead entirely scripted and controlled engagements. The AI, enemy & friendly, is doing what it "thinks" to be best at the moment. It may not seem real, but that's because it's AI. For more fierce engagements, I think you would need intelligent people to funnel the player to a particular location, then code the enemy NPC's to behave in a specific, or realistic, way. Of course, that would end up being too scripted (like R6V). As it is now, when I replay a portion of a mission, the enemy NEVER does EXACTLY the same th

Problem moving the Mule
Cangaroo.TNT replied to Ryanwtod's topic in GR:AW 2 (PC) - General Discussion
Anyone know what happens to the MULE if it becomes incapacitated by enemy fire? Does it just stop running? Does it explode with shrapnel flying everywhere? Can you still re-arm? -

Cangaroo.TNT replied to Ryanwtod's topic in GR:AW 2 (PC) - General Discussion
I never had that particular problem as it relates to quicksaves, but numerous people have reported problems moving the MULE, period. -
Strong (and well-deserved) review on Gamespy
Cangaroo.TNT replied to Bahger's topic in GR:AW 2 (PC) - General Discussion
I agree w/ you. I think reviewers want a squad to support them without having to actually do anything (issue commands and set them up). I think they want to walk into a firefight without having to think about it. GRAW 2 PC is all about the player dictating the terms of the engagement. There are already a lot of games where the terms of engagement are determined before you walk into the room (R6V). -
I am rather surprised by the replies so far. When my squad played BHD & JO, in a 20 minute TKOTH map we has members that routinely had over 100 kills with around 20 deaths. I've never heard anyone refer to BHD as tactical, and IMO definitely falls into the "run & gun" category. I thought for sure "tactical" gameplay implied "survival." After all the pleading for realism, the guys that walk off the battlefield IRL are the winners, regardless of the number of kills they had. Now, everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and there is no right or wrong on this issue. But after re

Cheater busted w/ FRAPS
Cangaroo.TNT replied to C9.Constantine's topic in GR:AW 2 (PC) - General Discussion
Yeah, what Wolf said. Besides that, you're wrong. The thread topic was about bullet penetration. Period. Not only that, but Wolf states specifically "bullet path." He does not mention the weapons or kits themselves. -

Cangaroo.TNT replied to C9.Constantine's topic in GR:AW 2 (PC) - General Discussion
^ I believe you're taking it out of context. The thread you are referring to pertains to penetration. Yes, it was regarding penetration: http://www.ghostrecon.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=44350 I actually knew it because I was the one that started the thread in the first place. I was quite brilliant in that thread. Anyway, that quote from Wolfsong does not belong here. -
The UBI/Grin/Intro movie? Yes. Click your mouse button.

Okay, but there is no 25:5 option. It's 25:10. Does that change your opinion? Because in that case the 10:1 guy has a much better KDR.

Price of peace - question
Cangaroo.TNT replied to sgtraptor's topic in GR:AW 2 (PC) - General Discussion
^Check GR.NET downloads! -
^Papa, the problem is that you see a turd, and think that's just a turd. Whereas myself, and may other people see that it's not a turd, but in fact a condom filled with $1,250,000 worth of heroin that someone swallowed & subsequently pooped out. (That analogy may or may not apply to you, Papa, but I had to use you just so I could post it )

See, Wolf? That is exactly what I was talking about!

In front of the church? Yes, that's the end of the mission. -
I would tend to agree with you if everyone is on comms, or even if a handfull of people are on comms. I was more referring to a non-admined pub server than a squad hosted server. But, since I wasn't clear, I'd have to agree that my logic is flawed.

Single Player: TOO DA## SHORT....
Cangaroo.TNT replied to J-Train's topic in GR:AW 2 (PC) - General Discussion
First, let me say "thanks" for the vocabulary lession. I'm pretty stupid , so I appreciate any help I can get. I was referring to this: Your otherwise ######-poor attitude is not really a problem around here. Believe me, I'm not going to win the GR.NET Mr. Congeniality award any time soon. After all, my initial reply was going to be: 10 missions. Are you a ###### or just stupid? -

Cangaroo.TNT replied to J-Train's topic in GR:AW 2 (PC) - General Discussion
Are those the 2 12-person coop maps that are included, but not activated because they are incomplete? There is a way to access & play them, but I don't know how. Those are the only other "hidden" mission I know about. But, if you want, I can do what I usually do and just act like I know what I'm talking about. -
I agree. In my example I am using unlimited respawn, so it's kinda every man for himself. Very unlikely that someone would sacrifice themselves for the team.

You didn't let me finish my infomercial: <--Me <--Sui /end_infomercial -
Okay, in a 0 respawn server, if you make it to the end without dying and were not AFK, you did pretty well. So, let's talk about unlimited respawn servers. Player A goes 25:10 Player B goes 10:1 Player C goes 7:0 Obviously, player A would top the leaderboard. But, what do you guys consider the better score? For me, I'm most pleased with a low death number than a high kill number (I'd prefer C to B or A)

If you have a PhysX card, you get Ageia Island, so it's only $4.55 per mission! I should do an infomercial! -
