    Did you fixed Hall_of_mirrors, the bug that you fall into map when you pass trough barrier?

    Problem is that not a lot of players have those new maps...I play like 2 hours alone today...I suggest you put all [GR] coop maps in a same folder here in Ghostrecon.net download...well done Jason...continue your good work I appreceate a lot ty. :thumbsup:

    I'm sorry, I didnt know there was a part of the hall of mirrors map you fall through ... where is it exactly, ill look into it.

  2. Heres the problem, I just threw in a starter set of guys to test if my old problem was fixed. The main part of the problem was fixed thanks to evil ducky... which was bad statics. But, aparantly there are still some left because after so long the game still crashes with the same paramaters... so I will assume that somewhere on this map there is a bad static and an AI guy is falling through it. See what happens is a bad static isnt a solid surface you or the AI guys can fall through. SO.... if anyone finds a part on this map where you fall through or you see an AI guy fall through LET ME KNOW PLEASE... or anything else related. for isntance, if there is a place where you can fit through the barriers where its possible to go run off the map and "fall off the world" so to speak let me know of that too becuase guys could be running off the edge too. but most likely its bad static, or at least as far as we can figure it is. ......... who knows.

    I would also want a report of anything else that you see is incorrect to the map.

    If i can ever get this figured out Ill ad more bad guys, vehicles.. maybe even an objective or something. who knows... but i gotta get the crash fixed first.

    anyway... we're gonna get a joint effort going to TRY and fix ministry's game.

    duck figured my problem out... get this in the ghetto scene there are statics that are errored. it was causing me to just drop through the floor and that wasnt limited ot the AI.. when they fell through the ground it errored. the errored statics to the AI werent even there, but to us they were.

    so... watch out for that kinda stuff when your map making.

    thanks to duck for fixing that headache for me and apologies to ministry for hijacking his thread... hopefully we get it fixed and its forgotten.

  4. I can certainly respect one's preference if they so choose to turn off the mini map... however, when playing a new map in Recon mode how will you know where to go exactly for "the red zone"

    It would have to be a toggle when you tab or esc out and done on the fly beucase you absolutely have to have it for new recon maps, but just say in firefight mode it goes away because its next to useless, or if it is in recon mode but you know exactly where the trip line is.

  5. I think its a generally good idea... however, I agree with the above post. Having a GRIN member there would be counter productive... no thats not a cheap stab, I mean that every single person in there would do nothing but bombard them with questions like "why did you do this ...? .. that ? " "why dont you have this in the game ? " OR "it would be nothing but a string of obscenities twoard them"

    I would have to be controlled, like make a maxium channel number of say 4 members. 1 GRIN and 3 average Joes and it would bave to be prescreened people.... for instance, someone like myself shouldnt be aloud in there because it would be counter productive but someone like evilducky lets just say should be aloud becuase you know hes not gonna flame GRIN.

    I'd still like to figure out how to make the mini cross com a full buddycam view like the 360 has and to make a heatvision option to see through walls with either the Xcom or sniper scope or both.

  6. postal, i dont have any vehicles in this level at this current time so thats not doing it. and as far as having the AI graph... i have it spiderwebbed all over the map, theres plenty of paths for the AI to choose from.... and the all connect, there are no loose nodes or dead ends.

  8. Yeah, I'm working on my second map now... worked really hard to set it all up and when I went to run it I found three major bugs.

    1. I can randomly just fall right through the ground... and no i didnt leave a 5mX5m space open. I just fall right through the ground mid mission

    2. I get a crash that says "smovelogics" isnt right on line (-1) , then the scriptstack says a AI hive brain error. I know that usually means a AI graph node problem right ?? but I cant find anything wrong wtith the graph. And its completely random... i could play for 1 minute or 10 minutes before it does it.

    3. theres this one section of shanties where the AI can completely see me and shoot me right through them like they werent even there but I cant see or shoot them through it.

    we're trying to figure this... ministry's problem also has us completely boggled.

    my last map had a few minor hangups that i could never figure out but it was playable so I released it (hall of mirros, I named it that becuase when looking at it from above its made of the same 4 corners and looks like a reflection of a mirror)

    1. problem one was the obs barrier walls when viewed out of the clip range had blue and yellow stripes on them.. but when you get closer they filled in with proper colors... its extremely minor and sometimes hard to notice but still there.

    2. the mini map is all dark, when i try to do a 3 pass medium all browns turn to purple in the game and the ground and walls are completely black (without color or light) . so I was stuck with doing a multiple pass draft version... which didnt turn out bad at all but i would of rathered the medium or high version.

    I guess we're at the mercy of grin here to give us a hint if they so wish to help beucase i doubt anyone from the community as acquired enough knowledge and experience enough to help us out. (hopefully I'm wrong). I honestly dont get how the average person is suppose to use thie editor. None of us are stupid, we've figured out alot about this game entirely on our own yet we are totally boggled at this. there just seems to be no consistant reason for all the problems we've had and been having ( yes theres a whole bucket load more on top of the ones listed already in this post... these are just the more major ones, or ones we haven't fixed on our own yet)

  9. yes, obviously we like the game as whole or we wouldnt be here playing it. I personally think with GRAW PC that its kinda 60/40 , 60 good 40 bad... but thing is the 60 isnt just good its GREAT , thats why we're still here. But that 40 is the same way, its not just bad, its horrible and ridiculous.

    And, UBI isnt all to blame, theres enough butter on the bread from everyone. I personally think GRIN has alot ot learn and they need to come off their high horse or fantasty land or whatever. I mean, GRAW 360... great, GR1.... great, Raven Shield (and all other R6's except lockdown which is bad)... great, splinter cells... FANTASTIC (especially chaos theory, top drawer,... top drawer) , then GRAW PC... ups and downs. Even at this stage of 1.30 its still BETA. Its not even close to being a finished product.

    how bout that GL bug during [GR] guys... hows that coming ? are you at liberty to answer that ? I hate plaing [GR] and firing off a GL and the game goes right to the desktop, yeah... thats fun. I along with many others submitted this bug the VERY first day of beta testing, the beta was updated.. what .. twice ? then the official 1.30 was released... so whats that... 3 updates in like less thant two weeks. the GL issue along witha sleaugh of other bugs never touched. the readme mentioned two or three extremely small bugs that no one even heard of were fixed. Yeah that was a real value of time spent.

    I've said it about 5 times so far on here... I cant wait for double agent to come out... GRAW PC will be colecting dust on my shelf.

  10. I'm not talking about taking every crackpot idea and everyone thinking they are right... I'm talking about simple communication skills. like "hey we are working on fixing bug A bug B bug C" , or "we took smoke grenades out beucase of problems, they will be put back later" or the near worthless tutorial on the map editor and the screwed up way the editor itself functions.

    we communicate more with you people than most developers do and hare happy to do so but we cant go down on a micro level as that would require us to do more writing than working.

    or when people ask simple direct questions and the questions are totaly avoided or danced around....

    we answer most questions almost straight away except for a few that we CANT answer, not only the ones in the forum but tons on Pms and emails.which is also something most developers wouldnt

    You respond to that but not even half the questions I've seen people directly as you on here.

    You guys live in your own reality. I'm just telling you right now... your way of doing things is wrong both in communication and development. Most developers don't have to communicate becuase they did the job right the first time. Look at splinter cell...

    you guys think your 100% on the ball so youll listen to nothing we have to say so really my typing this is pointless, same with everyone else here. Youll do what you want anyway. Just listen to this, i knew this game was horrible first time i played the demo, but the people at ubi told me that only the demo was like that, the whole game was alot better. SO i risked it and picked it up at the store..... boy was i sorry, .. and still am. If you guys are making GRAW2 and are still on the same arrogant path our on then it will be yet another sad day for GR. IF you actually learned something then great... but it doesnt look like you did. Ill play the demo, if it sucks I'll save my money and continue on with SC and other good games.

    i could write a book about how i feel on this subject, but thats one drop from the bucket.

    edit: oh yeah.. i cant remember the exact words but didnt Bo call us all a bunch of trolls ?? does UBI know these guys are coming on here and talking like this ? remember, we buy game from UBI, UBI pays GRIN to do work.... we get ###### at GRIN and stop buying GRIN/UBI games, UBI quits contracting GRIN... GRIIN loses $$$$. .... smart

  12. its the scripting for the spawning and line tripping of the area... its not right.

    I dont have the time to look at it right now. maybe i will later or ducky can.

    but just off the top of my head you dont have everything named, some of the stuff still says "area1" instead of the name of your patrol(s) and you dont have any deactivates after the activate lines

    don't worry.. it seems no one understands the tutorial or the editor. both are crap in my opinion.

  13. we are not "afraid" of the pms about "this one" because there simply isnt an issue, the things that has been "removed" from the editor list is simply things that were never meant to be on there in the first place, stuff thats not meant to placed straight in the editor but spawned through other units, for example all of the f15 stuff is animations spawned by compositions and are not meant to be plotted out in the editor as they would play their animations and then disapear before you even would have a chance to see them unless you placed them in a composition.Other things has gone "invisible" due to the new layers that has been unlocked in the editor.

    willie, dont get me wrong.. I like you, your a nice guy and all... but , how are we suppose to of known this ?? telepathy, like everything else done ?

    also, and I cant say this enough. that map editor and the tutorial as whole are terrible. i have had so many problems its unreal. not saying its actually malfunctioning, its just things dont work the way the average person thinks it to work. I'm not just speaking for myself, I'm speaking for many on that fact.

    all i can say is cant wait for double agent to come out. GRAW will be collecting dust

  14. Even if they did have that effect, Bob, it wouldn't last. Once people know were all the enemies are then it's back to the track & field / Forrest Gump sprint to the finish. We need randomly spawning enemies.

    That most likely wouldnt happen in my map......... or ducks.

    Reason it wouldnt happen in mine is becuase all of my guys are spawned at once ( no it doesnt lag... at all) and they have long patrol cycles so it keeps the guys extremely random. While you may get the drop on about %25 of the guys, such as snipers. most of the ground guys will have the drop on you.

    ducks is really hard becuase he has trigger points all over the place and they are mostly special forces guys, and theys spawn in large strategically placed groups. I know for a fact he put alot or work into it to make it that way.

    they aren't big maps but they will definately keep you folks busy for a while.

    I know ducks workin on a big one, ... i have an idea for a big one and another for a small one ill most likely start work on today and our otehr buddy ministry is almost finished with his map. its sick... its a split level.

  15. I saw there was about 4 people or so that downloaded the map since this post.... to anyone that did, redownload it. I just made a few changes to it. I added some more guys and changed the barriers a bit.

    Unless I get some hair brained idea this is most likely the last update Ill make to this map, or at least for a while anyway. Its pretty good the way it is.

    Reason its called that is because all 4 corners of the map are the same and other than a few things here and there it looks like each side of the map is mirrored from the other. The original was a huge grid of the same thing.... but I chose to do it this way.

    Now...... this isnt a great map that I expect to go down in [GR] history... this is just something i threw together to give people a break form playing the same 3 all the time. I and my friends think its pretty dang fun and its definately not crappy

    so... have fun.

  17. I just started playing this map its a really nice my but i was thinkin where is the downed blackhawk? its called blackhawk down so one would think there would be a black hawk and also big buildings with alot of guys in them .o and the swapn shpuld be aroud the downed heli

    anyways it a fun little map and its better than playing the same [GR] map over and over

    see rocky, this is where my aggression comes from

    dude....... the downed blackhawk is right where the red zone is, you know...where you go to finish in recon mode.

    Its a night mission and the downed blackhawk is on fire, dont tell me you cant see it ??? theres also a bunch of downed marines around it.

    It means he created a map for [GR] COOP mode on GRAW........ have you even bothered to turn the game on ? Trust me, no ones confused but you.

  19. Well... majority of the credit goes to our fearless leader Evilducky. Usually the key findings are usually left to one person then other like minded indviduals come in for the assist to make things grow. For example, if it weren't for Nemon, none of us would of been modding anything right now.

    Ducky figured out a couple of the key issues in order to place key items in the map and have them function properly, Ministry and I also brought our own bread to the table to put finishing touches on a few things to complete the maps... so right now we're just cleaning things up to release them to people.

    Its not my place to reveal stuff but I'll just say that there are two of what I consider very fun maps to be released very soon to the community, and not a moment too soon from what I can figure. People gotta be tired of playing the same day 3 maps over and over and over again.

    also, we're most likely mak an addition to the [GR] tutorial being its so horrible. (I'm sorry to the person that wrote that but its the truth man... its bad) This way more people can make and release maps. There are lot of people who physically created maps but they cant get anything to work on them... well if you can't play them what good are they ? ... not much. Maybe we can remedy that.

    OH, and I forgot, to silent op. as far as updating mods, like my old ones... we'll see. Its hard, from what we can figure you need two sets of mods. One for regular coop and single, and another for [GR] coop. but some mods are already updated, its just a matter of seperating them... packing them and uploading them somewhere. I imagine most people are running modless now being majority of the 1.21 mods are incompatable with 1.30.

  20. not that i should have to explain myself but.... quite obviously the point I was making is that you can't expect every single detail to be laid out but ALOT better job could have been done in explaning how to use this thing and some "do's and don'ts"

    95% of the work and time you invest is in figuring things out and testing them. the other 5% is actual creating. Why should someone waste hours upon hours upon hours upon hours of wasted time when someone out there already knows how to fluently work it and can explain it to us ?

    its called doing your job properly, most people get repremanded for it, ... some even fired.

    oh, that and not to mention the extreme ignorance in the prejudice of modding... ever run into these guys yet ? ... what a crowd. Its what ruins modding becuase you can barely use it. Thats why I'm haning my notepad up, its not worth it.
