LOL... I'm not trying to hijack the whole mod forum here ... but I really think I made a smokin mod that improves alot of things and I want to share it with everyone..
in case your wandering what I'm getting at... I improved the aimpoint. see if its to your liking. its in the general mod forum.

Noticed that AI and even me got hung up on a dead guy blocking the entrance to where Ontiveros was killed. I tried the usual pushing but no luck. I managed to find a creative way to get out of it, but poor old teammate got hung up. Patch 1.21 your mod version 2.0
download my mod in this forum and steal the phsysics file out of the sb templates and substitute with that.
i dont know who in the world thought making you collide with dead bodies was a good idea... it inhibits you from playing the game... such as trying to get in the bunker for the tank crew in ready for bear, or the bunkers on strong point .. etc

i gotta say guys. I've been passing this mod around alot lately and getting alot of feedback and some people like and disliker certain things but one thing every single person so far as has raved about is the frinedly AI improvement.. its a 100% improvment.
if you take anthing away from this mod it should be that. its like your playing a whole new game.
I honestly feel this mod should be added to the download section of this site... or at least the AI part of it.

1. its not a bug at all.. didnt you read the write up ?... its chromed. I think it looks cool and its is to distringuish its a different weapon other than the glock being we cant yet insert new 3D images into the game we have to change as many characteristics as possible.
you obviously hasnt seen this?

I actually had a theory about putting a new image in, just like sound.. but i don't know EXACTLY how to do every step and would need to fill those blanks in with trial and error and reading and etc. I actually didnt have the time I used to make this mod... lost a few hours of sleep each night that I shouldnt have... all for a dumb game lol
I'm not worried about all about the glock, I'm fine leaving it the way it is for now. My next step is getting the cross com full color view. I just do this stuff to mess around.. I dont "need" these guns to help complete missions... I was one of the people who started the pistols only COOP missions on hard and beat them so I could care less if we had auto matic bazook launchers the rotated colors like a giant squids skin.
Actually making fancier weapons reduces play quality.. becuase you wnat to use its fancy qualities. I turned the M99 into a full auto assult rifle and actually played worse than I did than when I Sam Fisher-ed it sneaking around with a silenced M9 popping people off.

Hey this is really a great mod but there are a few issues I've noticed.
1) Bug in desert eagle skin - It's white in color? Suggestion: Leave it as glock cos the gun still looks like a glock.
2) SWS rifle - I would think the sound shdnt be confused with that of the M99 0.50calibre's. Perhaps you could change it to the one u used for the HMG? Just a suggestion though.
3) Rag doll effects - I really like the idea that you have made the bodies throw back more forceful when being shot at, however, they seem to be flying in the wrong direction sometimes.
4) Team A.I - It's fantastic, really. Keep it up!

2. I tried the 7.62's sound... it just didn't signify "long - distance, one - shot - one kill - type weapon" to me ... more of an annoying pop sound. Beleive me.. i want to use different sounds and I can through the game... problem is unless theres a 3rd person file for it already then we cant hear it in game.. therefore we're stuck using the ones we have. Beleive me.. my eyes............er............ ears will be open to new possibilities.
3. I never touched rag doll effects, if they are changed its either the new GRIN patch, something you didn't notice before, or something changed in my mod without my knoledge.
4. yeah... they're cool arent they ? ... they actually work !

I made my last major addition to the mod and am actually satisfied to leave alone without updating it once or twice a day now. I will actually have standardly spaced out intervals between updates now
I'll continue on my search to redo the min cross from wire frame to regular view and whatever other mods may come up.

This biggest change I did so far was got rid of the sniper scopes on the other rifles. they never seemed to work right at all... or at least not with the same efficiency as they are suppose to. For the scars and the M24 I just enhanced the aimpoint... whatever you put that dot on is dead... I assure you.

hey guys...
I'm not trying to over run everyones hard work that made mods out there... but I'm trying to make one ultimate mod that fixes alot of the complaints we as players have as well as improve a few things. All the things that we currently have the power to improve.
I made a mod that did what smith's was trying to do here... only on 'roids.... the AI REALLY get the job done and they are smarter about it... they actually duck for cover. I sent one AI into the plaza on fierce resistance and he killed all the foot soldiers and one tank and didnt get killed along with many other glorious war stories.
Now... i just did this so its not perfected, tweaked , and honed in yet... on pre-Beta stage mind you. But I think its doing a pretty good job. I've sent my AI in the fire of tanks and they not only stayed alive but killed the tanks as well as the other guys, gun nets, vehicles etc.
I'm also working on balancing out the AI on both sides, not favoring the enemy AI like the game already did.

try to remove sb_global.xml (it's not compatible with the 1.21) maybe you'll lose only the no-intro function (but I'm not sure coz I don't use this mod)

actually no it doesn't
go download my mod ( in this same forum ) and remove the global file from it and install it into agent smiths mod and you'r intro will be skipped.... along with reduced gun recoil... and everything will work just as dandy as before

I made an update once again. Maily to the games AI. This is pretty much a few hour job, I will continue on my AI enhancements on both sides, friendly and enemy as well as my quest for the full view cross com and who knows what else.
any help is MUCH appreciated.
Its pretty much to the point now if you install this mod it will entirely change your GRAW gaming experience. Its evolved to the point that I don't even recognize it from the original mod I started with.

right but what would reflect sunlight better than polished shiny new chrome?

You can definately tell it achieved full chrome because of the extreme difference it has in the shade/dark and directly in the suns rays. when this was taken it was just starting to get in the sun so the back and bottom is kinda shaded but the top is starting to glare. sometimes is so bright the whole gun has a glare to it.

I dont have this listed but I took off the crye combat site for the weapons and the sniper scope on the MP5.
my next main field of business is i want to get rid of the wire frame mini crosscom in the top left hand corner of the HUD to a regular view...the farthest anyones gotten that I've seen is they have solid colors which is definately a start.... so I dont have to look forever does anyone know where those files are offhand to mod that ?
also, i want to mod the smoke grenades to actually make the smoke have density against enemy AI... does anyone have any tips for that ?

Insane, thanks for the input... yeah as I said, its still a work in progress. I still have many plans for this as well as some fixes as you came across.
Some known bugs:
1. Desert Eagle: You MUST place the fire on single fire in order for the sound to work. I have found if a weapon that you (Mitchell/ friendly AI) cant fire than YOU (the shooter) can't hear the sound. BUT anyone else can hear it. I can make the gun have any sound I want but I wont be able to hear anything but the bullets hitting. other game plays (if in COOP mode) can hear it. For instance, when I made the Heavy Saw, I originally gave it the unused 50cal rounds in the game and gave it the sound from the stryker. It shredded !!! and it sounded great.... when someone else in my team used it. But when I used it I couldnt hear it, just like when I made my automatic M99. It ripped it up even more than the saw, but since it doesnt fire in full auto normally I therefore couldnt hear it, only in SA mode. When I made the Desert Eagle I slowed the auto down so slow you would want to put it on SA so in case you forgot you could fire the round off faster simply by clicking the mouse faster. Kinda like a fail safe. And being I gave the DE the M99's sound you cant hear it in full auto, you have to put it on SA... and let me tell you, when you do youll laugh. I did. That pistol is MEAN ! but thing is, I assume that by the ranges in the units file it gives the bullets fired by the weapon its power vs distance traveled. The pistols seem to have a lower number and even though a large caliber hand gun is ruthless at close ranges, like a DE or a 45 mag, 44 etc... at a distance it falls on its face raipidly the farther it travels. I left it like this for realism. I also had to leave it on FA /SA becuase if I switch the file to make the DE SA only the FA/ SA switch on the left side of the gun goes nuts flicking on and off.
2. M24
I think I pretty much got this gun down. Here is the only problem. I have to use sniper scope 2 or 3 and it has a larger view. HOWEVER, when I do this and shoot this weapon at extremely long distances youll notice you have to put the target between the left orange line and the orange dot at the center VS. simply putting the orange dot on the target. Close up it doesnt seem to matter much. Youll also notice the large black lines at the edges or the scope view aren't in line with the orange lines like they are suppose to be... its off center to the right, hence when have to aim slightly left. I tried putting sniper scope 1 on it... made it worse, ... only smaller. I'm still working on that.
3. MP5 in primary.
I actually took this out of primary in the version I'm running on my PC now because I keep getting crashes. I dont know if I did something wrong or what. Maybe if Willie has a few extra minutes he can poke his head in the files and see what I did wrong.

Um.. why are we still talking about this ?
I said that becuase it was dumb... he was acting serious, like I just made a real life gun. He said it gets hard putting a 51 mm shell into a 45 mm clip... like we're actually in the game doing this. Its a freaking video game. Since I have to rehash what the game has I have to make things look as close to the real thing as possible. Why would I take a shorty stubby gun and make it a sniper rifle ?
If you guys want to pick my work apart please do... technically wise. Like if there are bugs or you don't like how the gun fires or whatever... I want that kind of info. If you want to complain about a non functiong thing that makes no difference (using a scar H vs Scar L, or you want it tan instead of black or camo) that has nothing to do with anything, its my personal preference for this mod and its going to stay like that. Its like complaing about the paint job on two of the same car. They are both going to work the same in the end becuase they have the same engine (bullets, accuracy, stability, etc). You take a red car and I take a black one... they both run and drive the same. And if you dont like my 3D textures... don't install the mod. No ones forcing you to.
Now,.. back to business. Did anyone actually install and use this mod ? did it work OK for you ?

when in weapon inventory... if you left click on the weapon shown and drag left or right it rotates the weapon in a 3D image

it wasnt a joke ?? someones taking things a little too seriously.
1.first and foremost, its a game.... it doesnt matter.
2.the SCAR H in THIS game uses 7.62 x45 MM
3. we can't insert 3D images into this game so you have to do the best you can with what you have. Neither one of the scars look like an m24 so i had to do my best, take the longer thinner one and make it black........because thats what an M24 looks like, ...... long, thin, and black... close enough
why would you even waste the energy in your fingers to even type a response like that ?

no because the scar H is a stubbier rifle... the scar L is longer and thinner... more sniper-ish
and besides, it would be pretty hard putting a 51mm shell in either one being its way too long for the clip.. but I'm sure that was just a joke anyway, right ?

I cant beleive this... i added an extremely similar weapon to a mod i just posted... i never even saw this thread.
I added a M24 SWS regular caliber sniper rifle. amoungst other things.

new discovery, if you put the silencer on the M24 its completely silenced to you and everyone else.
its like a scalpul compared to the M99 being a sledgehammer. its extremely deadly... i love this gun.
