  1. Hmmm...right now I do not remember the modem brand name, but I could look tonight when I get home. Also, when I go to www.myipaddress.com it tells me what IP my computer is on, but for some reason it still doesnt work. I appreciate the help and I will look at all of these options when I get home from work tonight, and I'll let you all know.

  2. I uninstalled my firewall so now I have none. The DSL line goes from the jack to the modem to my ethernet card...so it's a direct hookup....and still Ghost Recon gives me that 192.168.1.1 crap. I dont get it, why wouldnt it pick up my external IP. I did go to myipaddress.com which also tells you your external IP, and they tried that but it still didnt work. This is some frustrating ish I tell ya!

  3. OK, first post on here so hello everyone. For some reason when ever I try to host a multiplayer game, it says my IP is 192.168.1.1. I know that has something to do with the Sygate Firewall I had installed....but I uninstalled both it and Ghost Recon, and then reinstalled just Ghost Recon and it STILL says my IP is 192.168.1.1. I am running DSL without a router. I can get my IP by going to www.myipaddress.com, but even when they try that it STILL doesnt work. I even went into options and selected Behind Firewall and selected port 2346, and asked them to put XX.XXX.XX.XX:2346 in the IP box (x's being the number at the time), and still nothing. Any suggestions or solutions? They have 56K and it really sucks playing on 56K server with DSL, and I figure if I host the whole game will not lag as much. All help appreciated.

    Thanks.
