  1. I'm sure it is but I'll check again. By the way, for those of you who wanted to know, my modem is a Westell Wirespeed.
  2. Here's how it links. Filter in the wall...followed by a ethernet cable from the line filter in the wall to the modem. Then another ethernet cable goes right from the modem to my ethernet card. I use Windows XP, and I have never had XP's firewall on.
  3. Hmmm...right now I do not remember the modem brand name, but I could look tonight when I get home. Also, when I go to www.myipaddress.com it tells me what IP my computer is on, but for some reason it still doesnt work. I appreciate the help and I will look at all of these options when I get home from work tonight, and I'll let you all know.
  4. I uninstalled my firewall so now I have none. The DSL line goes from the jack to the modem to my ethernet card...so it's a direct hookup....and still Ghost Recon gives me that 192.168.1.1 crap. I dont get it, why wouldnt it pick up my external IP. I did go to myipaddress.com which also tells you your external IP, and they tried that but it still didnt work. This is some frustrating ish I tell ya!
  5. OK, first post on here so hello everyone. For some reason when ever I try to host a multiplayer game, it says my IP is 192.168.1.1. I know that has something to do with the Sygate Firewall I had installed....but I uninstalled both it and Ghost Recon, and then reinstalled just Ghost Recon and it STILL says my IP is 192.168.1.1. I am running DSL without a router. I can get my IP by going to www.myipaddress.com, but even when they try that it STILL doesnt work. I even went into options and selected Behind Firewall and selected port 2346, and asked them to put XX.XXX.XX.XX:2346 in the IP box
